So good so far, excellent care of my cats and dog. X-rays, lab work results returned in under 24 hours. Wait for a visit can be long, 1-2 months at certain times of the year. The veterinarian is caring and competent.

Our breeder recommended the Hampton Vet hospital for a holistic approach to our dog’s torn CCL. We had a lot of questions and Dr. Johnston was extremely patient and clearly passionate about what she does. The entire staff was very nice and always made us feel welcomed and comfortable.

Even though doctor Wen is no longer there. Doctor Johnston and her staff are wonderful. Not only are they caring and knowledgeable but they also are not trying rip you off when you are worried about your pet.

We’re so glad that we found a vet super close that actually understands our dog. He “scared” the last vet we went to even though he’s just extremely energetic and gets a bit anxious when going to the vet. He loves everyone and so happy they worked with him instead of just telling us he needs drugs to be seen by the doctor. Going to recommend them to all of our friends. Thanks to the whole team for an awesome experience and giving our pup so much love and understanding!

THE BEST ON LONG ISLAND!Had to leave my extremely attached Standard Poodle for boarding. I haven’t gone away in years unless one of the family is able to care for him & even then when I leave, he’s not himself. I can not thank the Kennel & Dr. Johnson enough! He wasn’t happy and they all went above and beyond to try and make him happy. They kept in touch during my whole trip and they made me feel like he was safe and Loved. When he wouldn’t eat, they did everything they could think of to get his spirits up & help him get back his appetite. They called and asked asked what they could do to lift his spirits and never gave me a hard time about contacting them! They didn’t do anything without an “ok” from me, which was much appreciated! They are THE BEST Vet & Boarding facility I have ever been to. My Love and Sincere thanks to everyone there!

Dr Johnston is an amazing woman and veterinarian. Shes been helping my pets for many years and she gets they're family members..prices are quite reasonable and sh cares so much she gives you a recheck appointment for no charge just to make sure your pets on the road to recovery. Last Sat I had to put my 15 1/2 yr old dog to sleep. Dr. Johnson was seeing her for the past month, she seemed to have neck pain and Dr J was very empathetic and diligent in diagnosing her and taking care of her, talking to me on the phone re emergency med prescriptions, etc. She got a little better for about one week, then she took a turn. She was unable to stand without help, could hardly walk, wasn't eating much, the usual "signs". I called the office about noon last Sat and said I need the last appointment (4pm) to bring her in and possibly put her to sleep. They scheduled me, no problem. I ran about 15 min late, after closing, but they waited. Dr J could not have been more kind and empathetic. She did not rush us, she gave us time before the first, "calming", injection and more time after that and before her second injection. After that she even gave us more time with her. After Dr Wen retired I was not sure what to do, stay or go, as I only saw him and entrusted all my dogs' lives with him. Dr J won me over, and all my trust and faith, first with the diligent care of my dog and then with her kindness when we had to let her go. Even more so now, I highly recommend this veterinary hospital and Dr Johnson. Additionally, the staff there is kind and very accommodating as well. Thank you all, for all you have done and do.

Dr. Johnston is an extremely compassionate vet. I take my 4 dogs to her. My youngest was diagnosed with cancer and Dr. Johnston was always available to answer any questions I had. Even on her day off she called me. Although my dog lost her fight with cancer I feel Dr. Johnston did all the right things for Fiona and our family. She is the best doctor!

There are no words to describe Dr Johnston and her team! We drive over an hour to bring our dog there because it is top notch care. They don’t just run up bills they are there for what’s best for animals! We had a very rough week no knowing what was wrong with our dog and the whole team went above and beyond! If you aren’t going to this vet your pet/ family member is missing out

I’ve been going to this vet since I was a child and my dad would take me with our family dog. Now that Dr. Johnston is the leading vet, I find the experience has improved tenfold, as she is super kind and compassionate and knowledgeable on all animals. I frequently bring my dogs and rabbit there. I also find them to be very fair when it comes to the cost of the services. Totally worth it and she also uses holistic medicine when appropriate. A++

If I could post this a gazillion times i would.This has been my vet for nearly 30 years.They are the best....in every way.Dr. Karen has saved so many of my rescues who were given death sentences I can't count them.Now that we have moved to Pa. we still travel to see her for everything other than basic routine care.A blessing for any pet owner.

We have been going to Hampton Vet for about 3 years. We have always had such a wonderful experience. Dr. Johnston is smart and knowledgeable. They never push vaccines and offer natural Chinese herb formulas for several issues including anxiety, cancer, seizures and skin allergies.We have been particularly impressed since going during the Covid crisis. Dr. Johnston personally walks outside to greet you and talk with you. It’s your regular appointment only outside in the shade. She is WONDERFUL. The whole team is wonderful. Just to say.. EXCELLENT!! The staff is so ❤ caring! Very good service every one that works in there is very aware of the fact that is affecting everyone with the covid19 and there taking every precautions to make us safe from it. Definitely I recommend this place for taking care of your animals ( furries babys) just be sure to bring your water and anything else you may need, because you will way for a while to be seeing by the veterinary. Dr. Wen and his team are undeniably awesome. I have used conventional medicine for a few of my pets and the results were short lasting. One round of his holistic medicine and my dogs skin issues subsided and my cat who has had loose stools for 3 years after trying every limited ingredient on the market finally has normal bowel moveMents. I never thought this was possible. Truly amazing!

This is probably the best vet on Long Island. Dr. G spent 15 minutes talking me out of a $600 teeth cleaning for the safety of my pup. Dr. Wen is also amazing. Their prices are reasonable and they are always at the height of kindness.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Johnston and her staff. Putting your pet's health in their hands is the best thing you can do for your pet. My beloved cat had a tumor behind his eye through his nasal cavity. Surgery wasn't an option. We researched all the options including taking him to the Veterinary Medical Center in Manhattan. Hampton Veterinary Hospital offered the only viable option for us. Using their combination of Western medicine and Eastern herbs seemed like the logical choice.With their care, I had my beloved cat for 8 months instead of the original 3 to 4 months.Thank you Dr. Johnston and the entire staff of Hampton Veterinary Hospital.

We have been going to this vet for a few years. I have never felt they were after money until my recent visit on 1/30/20. This vet was so certain my dog had a particular cancer and started her on herbs and steroid. Told us she was NOT suffering, no fluid in chest and abdomen and we had 6 months of a healthy dog. The vet called me the next day to tell me she didn’t have that cancer and they wanted her in for more blood work to rule out infection. We went for more blood work and was called the next day and told again that the blood work was negative for that cancer but she may have an infection. So we started antibiotics.My dog showed very little signs of improvement but seemed to be better due to steroids decreasing the cough. So we went for a second opinion because her stomach started to descend and swell. We requested our records be sent to the new vet. The new vet told us the x-ray report that were done by Hampton Vet did show fluid in chest and abdomen and that there was something going on with her liver and it was time to but our dog down.I am not angry we lost our dog. I am greatful I had her for 15 years. What I am angry about is the misdiagnoses and lack of communication about her x-ray results, because that clearly shows she did not have an infection, and that her liver was failing and she was misdiagnosed again.Dr Johnston let me bring my dying dog home to suffer to my 3 young children. I expressed to Dr Johnston on 1/30 that I did not want my dog to suffer and that I had every intention of putting her down and we didn’t want to find her. She reassured me that she was ok and we still had time with her. Within a week and a half we lost our dog.I will never go back to this vet again.

Our dog fell off during the night and we though she broke her tail or even her back and was in sever pain. My vet is closed on Sunday and I decided to call this office because I saw they had Sunday office hours. I called 9 am and the women who answered the phone was empathetic and very helpful. We were greeted professionally and our dog was taken care of. The cost was very fair and Dr. Johnston was great. I was grateful to have an office that was open on a Sunday morning and not open just to take advantage of people financially. I would recommend this practice.

Great caring vets and staff. I entrust them with the care of my 10 year old dog with a brain tumor. I travel a distance to get there but worth it. Everyone I have spoken to had a good experience with them. Chinese herbal medications purchased from them.
