These ladies are wonderful! Great with my pit/lab mix! They have her in and out in less than an hour (bath, nail cutting and teeth brushing!). The best groomers!

My fur baby has been a customer of canal town grooming for years; we are long time customers of Deb and when Deb went to canal town grooming so did we. Debis a fantastic groomer and an even better person so the decision to leave canal town grooming was a very difficult one. My dog was scheduled for an appointment on Saturday and on Tuesday I received a call from Kate that the price of grooming went up 30 %, but quoted me $150 . I said that is a 52% increase and requested Hope the owner to call me back to explain. I did get a call from Hope she was very condescending and down right rude, she did not want to hear anything that I had to say, she dismissed me, said she is not negotiating with me, she is not arguing on the phone, she wants to go home to her family, and was implying she did not have any time to talk to me about my concerns! I was not arguing, I was saying that this was a pretty drastic increase, $162 with tax, not including the tip. I am not opposed to a price increase, I asked why I was not notified until 4 days before the scheduled grooming, and I was told it was on Facebook. I am not on Facebook and had no idea, she said a text was sent, I never received any text regarding an increase. So, after many years of being a customer, I was dismissed by Hope, she didn't care about anything I had to say and she was very unprofessional. Hope should add a customer service skills class for herself to her restructuring plan, because if she continues to treat customers like they don't matter, her small business will suffer. Not to mention I called 7 other small businesses in the area and groomers with 4.7 to 5 stars; are charging from $75 to $100 so why would anyone pay $162 for a grooming to support a small business when the owner has no concern for her customers. Very disappointing. We will definitely miss Deb who is a 5 star groomer and an overall great person.

Unfortunately, NY state doesn’t mandate LLC’s to take any courses on how to run a business. They are more concerned with there cancellation fees that no one will pay anyway then there customers. So if you have a customer who comes 6 times a year at $150 a pop that equates to $900 a year. So, when you charge a cancellation fee 3 minutes after your 24 hour cutoff that’s how much money you just lost. Your cancellation fee doesn’t get paid, you lose customer base and you get a bad review like this. It’s unfortunate that stupid people are allowed to form an LLC. The people who get hurt are the employees when they shut down. Just a word for the wise, maybe take a look at some of your good customer who never cancel and always support you before enforcing a late fee. Just some background called at 9am and was told I had until 11am to let them know if we were going to come to the appointment or not. Called at 11:03 and the owners first words were you have to pay the late fee. I mean, we never missed an appointment and that’s what you say to us on top of calling at 9am before as well. Poor ownership, uneducated owner and rude.

They did a fantastic job on our puppy. She is so adorable now and not a ball of knotty fur. The hair bows were a cute addition. This was puppy's first haircut and I was afraid she would be scared and lash out but the groomer made her feel comfortable. Thank you.

We love it here! Our dog is definitely not an easy groom but Canal Town does an amazing job with him and our requests. The post grooming “photoshoots” they post online have me laughing every week.

This place is great and Hope always does an excellent job! They have an automated system that will even send you a text reminder the day before your appointment. Around the holidays they will even take a fun picture of your pet.

It was a great place for dog grooming before the pandemic. We miss the groomers that they used to have there. It's different now. We're moving on.

We took our 1 year old Sheltie in for grooming after several friends and relatives suggested that we go there. The results were amazing and we were very pleased with the results. We had talked to other groomers that weren't sure what a sheltie was. We will be returning Canal Town Pet Shop again. Great job, thank you.

We are in Spencerport for a month for a long vacation, we brought our dogs with us and our one dog molly was shedding bad so we made an appt at the recommendation of one of my family members. They did an excellent job! She came home barely shedding and smelled good! I'll definitely bring her back next time we're in town!

Stephanie been such a great groomer. She use to trim my little rabbit nails sadly then he passed away a few years ago. Then I got a little rat terrier she trims his nails and gives him a bath and haircut every 2 months! Thanks again guys for all your hard work at Canal Town Grooming!

The staff here is super friendly. They take time to get to know you and your pet. The process are reasonable and they do a wonderful job grooming our two dogs every month.

Terrible groomers! Fly by nights. Never the same groomer there for long. I took my dog here and had to take him to the vet afterwards for a damaged trachea. Cost me over $100. Vet confirmed that damage done at groomers.
