Excellent views. Not a place I'd ever consider swimming (personal). Bathrooms were decently clean and have a sand shower. Sad to see erosion, but glad to see it being addressed here too. Plenty of free parking. Lifeguards on duty. Small snack shop. Good walkability.Playground: Playground looks to be the "plastic" type. Good size. On sand.Picnic area: Public gazebo with picnic tables. Picnic tables and grills near water edge on inlet.

Grew up going to Sodus Point Beach! Its a Fantastic Free beach that has an awesome sandbar in the Bayside for anyone with a boat or tube during the summer time months. It was packed and no where to park. After 15 minutes we found parking, someone was leaving. It was nice to see everyone enjoying themselves. People please stop throwing your garbage on the ground.We went back today to start our summer off and watch the sun go down. They have done an amazing job with the park on the beach. The sand was nice. The beach and water front was clean. Great start to our summer

Beach is small, clean, not too crowded.During our 7 days stay, some days water was clear, other days there was a lot of algae.Water temp was ok, some days it was a little too cold to swim, in my opinion.The lighthouse is beautiful, but the odor (sewage?) was very strong around that area.The sunsets on the beach are amazing.

Nice park, great access to the lighthouse, beach and pier. There was one large, dirty and half broken porta potty there instead of a clean restroom. Not really well taken care of. But winter location and view of nature.

Beautiful, peaceful place to get away and enjoy the view. Free parking, volleyball court on the left, concession stand, changingrooms and lifeguard station in the center building and a pavilion for parties and cookouts on the right; along with a playground area for the kids to play. Large beach area with a section of trees and benches for sitting and shade. Some rocks before entering the water, mainly sand. Beautiful lighthouse extended out on a long, wide pier. Located just a few minutes from town. One of my favorite places to visit.

We always check the Facebook site to see what the water temperature and clarity is for the day. Every time we've gone down when they've said it's good, it's been beautiful. Love the play and food area for small get-togethers.Playground: Fun for all the kid's.Restrooms: Always cleanPicnic area: Nice set up with tables and a few grills.

Amazing views! Stopped in the area when we were near by picking up some chairs. Very neat to watch the storm out on the lake.

Amazing beach! Playground for the kids. Pier to walk out and enjoy more water. Very long beach to spread out and enjoy your own space. Water is beautiful (most days). Can often be hard to find a parking space as the lot is really small. Also near other great places to visit on Sodus.

Gorgeous grounds to stroll, next to Lake Ontario. Good for photography. Only downside, be warned,,the public restrooms aren't open for easy access, they're only open during scheduled events.

Such a beautiful place to visit. Easy flat walk to the lighthouse, just be aware of the potholes. I took a header into the pavement because I was watching a dude reel in a big fish. Lol

That view was fabulous of Lake Ontario, we are so happy we drove there. We walked the grounds, the only negative was the massive amount of bugs that swarmed us. When. We walked through the grass they were all over us, I think they were grass fleas. No bites from them, just annoyingly in your face and all around you. I don't know how people could have a picnic in this area due to them. The water was beautiful.

Always a beautiful place to visit - amazing beach ⛱️ and wonderful places to eat! Let's not forget the beautiful lighthouse. It was a very humid and cloudy day - the rain held off to still have a very enjoyable time!

Nice, scenic place to stop for a few minutes to take a break on our trip. If you walk out to the lighthouse be careful of waves. I got my sandals wet.

Nice but small. Water is usually clear. Bay side is the best side. Therss a play ground and grills. Theres bathrooms and changing rooms. It's almost always busy and parking can be extremely hard to find.

Cool little parking lot with a nice view of the lighthouse and lake. The current construction makes navigating a little difficult, but it will be very nice when it is all done. We were here during a big storm with high winds. I would advise you do not park in the lot close to the shoreline during high winds as the sand will most certainly sandblast the paint off your vehicle!

Beautiful location to bring the family. Lots of fun in the sun. Be safe, stop by with the sunscreen and be sure to walk the town for great sites and food.

Tiny and beautiful. Best place for kids to have their time. This beach seems not well maintained. May be a bit more maintenance may turn this beach to it’s best. If there are side rails on the pier, that makes me feel safe.

Sodus Point Beach Park is a great free park! It has access to the lighthouse, pier, beach, and clean bathrooms. Fishing, swimming, and boating is allowed. Dogs are allowed on leashes.

A nicely kept sand beach on Ontario lake. We really enjoy the clean sand and the nice swimming area. Expect waves and remember that kids cannot bring floaties into the water.The park has changeing rooms, free parking, an ice cream stand, a playground and restrooms. There are also benches, a pavilion and a pier with a lighthouse. Definitely a fun place to enjoy the lake breeze and sun.

This beach is one of my favorite places in the Finger Lakes region. It is usually very comfortable temperature-wise on the hottest of days. It is beautiful year round. It is a wonderful place to watch the changing waters.

A great public beach park, with parking, playground equipment, picnic tables, and shallow water. Even in the fall, you can enjoy the park. The park's location also provides for great watching for boats going in and out of the bay. Want a good fishing spot by land? Try this park.
