My husband and I ate a late lunch here and while the rest of the food was delicious, the winner out of our order was definitely the lobster pizza. We'd never heard of it, let alone tried one before, so we went for it. So glad we did. It's even available on a gluten free crust, which was as crisp and delicious as a regular crust in our opinion.

The smells outside and in were promising. The hosts and server were friendly. The drinks came timely, and that was the end of the good time for the most part. Almost all the food came at once - soup, wings, salad, two entrees. The only thing missing was my 1 year old daughter's hot dog. That came out 10 minutes later. The dill wings were supposed to be extra crispy and they definitely were not. The flavor and blue cheese were good. The lobster Bisque had a pound of old bay seasoning on top. Really ruined the flavor. The breaded fish fry was crispy and very good. The seafood pasta was delicious. When I expressed my displeasure with our waitress, she offered to drop new wings and scoop off the seasoning. That was all the resolution we received. I would go back for a second chance if I'm in the area, but I'm not going to rush back.

Well, if you've been following any of my other bar reviews, you know I'm not a high-end kind of guy. I wouldn't say Captain Jack's is a dive... It's just very comfortable. Come as you are. Not pretentious at all. Love that. That whole little area by the bay has just got a really nice vibe. It's a great place to sit outside during the boating season. I may be a little bit partial because I play music and I've had the opportunity to play there. So yeah, they sometimes have entertainment. That's always a lot of fun. I'm not sure who my waitress was, but the service was absolutely outstanding last visit. Didn't wait or want for anything. I was surprised at the prices. Cost me almost a hundred bucks for lunch. But I spared no expense on the 4 excellent Prison City IPA beers, and two fish fries were pretty good. That was 77 and I threw in a 20 tip. I haven't had any problem with the food quality; the last two times I've eaten there it was delicious. Lots of choices. It's a nice ride to Sodus Bay. Check it out.

Staff was very friendly, no wait. Food however took close to an hr from the time we ordered. My wife’s Nashville chicken sandwich tasted good; it was a bit small and the bread kinda fell apart due to it being a bit stale. My chicken fingers were awful. Clearly frozen processed chicken for the price of fresh. I found fibers and Veins inside them. Not edible. My daughter ordered the fried clam strips and they were the best thing our family got. The server was awesome!! If they put a bit more effort into the food, this would be a great spot.

Awesome place!!!! This was our first time here. I made reservations for a group of 5, took my husband there for his birthday. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was fun, and our waitress Michaella was amazing! We had a great time and we will definitely be back!! 👍

Wonderful local treasure and Sodus Bay pillar. Indoor restaurant with fireplace, enclosed dining right on the bay, outdoor waterfront patio seating, second floor open air deck with live music summertime and reserved-for-customer docks.Excellent food, good specials and delicious desserts.Friendly and efficient staff. Reasonable prices.

Really good place. Great service. Friendly staff. Big portions served fast. Not to mention the large selection of drafts. Looks crowded in the summer. Open all year. Fish fry was huge and delicious.

Stopped in for lunch and had great fish sandwiches. Not too expensive for a tourist trap. Sat out on the deck overlooking Sodus Bay, great view. Only problem was the yellow jacket wasps. Seems like we spent more time waving the wasps away than eating!Parking: Only street side parking, and it's a popular place.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, and some of the tables (especially outside) are wheelchair friendly.

This is a favorite spot for this cute seaside village. Although parking is plentiful, on the weekends it can get a little tight in the summer months. The best thing about the place was the ambience. The wings were meh, especially since we are still in Buffalo wing territory. Our entrees were simply not memorable. Not great but not horrible. Our server was fantastic - attentive and very pleasant. The atmosphere made it worth it all. Friendly fellow patrons, a beautiful bay view and an absolutely fantastic band were the highlight of the pleasant evening. Sitting outdoors only added to the experience.. I was pleasantly surprised to recognize several songs, and clearly they tried to cater to a variety of tastes.

Had a very nice lunch on a sunny Fall day at Jack's. The food portions were generous, and everything was tasty and cooked just right. Eating outside on their porch was also lovely. Definitely would recommend! (Only negative comment was the drinks portions were very small. We ordered cider and it came in tiny plastic cups. I would go back for everything besides that.)

Great place in Sodus Point to sit by the water and have a nice time during the summer. The service is excellent, we were greeted warmly and shown right away to our choice of table. Our server was very good about checking on our needs, our meals were served quickly. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Captain Jack's has a fun atmosphere and unbeatable views of the bay. This place will not disappoint if you want quality, fun, and an enjoyable time. Definitely recommend.

We were disappointed that we could not take our dogs to the deck. Receptions was very apologetic. She said it was not their policy, but a town policy. They suggested ordering take out, and eating elsewhere. Food is good, with generous servings. I ordered the nachos topped with taco meat, fresh jalapenos, lettuce, cheese and Pico de Gallo. My husband ordered the steak sandwich with a side of fries. It came with horseradish mayo and gravy. I walked my dogs to a nearby play ground next to a marina, while we waited for our order.

Well on their new menu I didn't get what I ordered which was a shaved steak with a side of Pico de gallo.that was a train wreck I got fried steak&cheese with chopped tomatoes only. They did have a band which the singer was pretty good but please get them an amplifier &new mic. MY WAITRESS was nice enough to remove my food from my bill because there power went out in the kitchen and they couldn'tfix my order.but I have had way better at home.bar rescue where are you?

Great place to enjoy a beautiful sunny day. Highly suggest to sit on the bar as it gives you the awesome waterfront view. But if you prefer outdoor sitting, then you definitely will get that true lake experience. Food was excellent, and the beer was super cold. A must eat tavern when you hit Sodus point!

Captain Jack's is a staple out at Sodus point. They are located right on the bay with great outdoor seating, good food, a full bar and an excellent beer selection. Their menu is a a mix of seafood, full entrees, sandwichs and burgers. Of note is their birthday wing special. We have been a few times and food and service are consistently good. Expect a wait in the summer and their prices are set based on their location so they are not cheap. That said if you want a fun place to go enjoy some food drinks and fun check them out .

Prices are kinda high for the food. Appetizers were over cooked but entrees were good. Prime rib was delicious cooked perfectly. I'd go back

Delicious food !We sat in the bar area, which was loud as expected. Unfortunately, I was there with a friend whom I hadn't seen in a few years, and it was hard to hear because of the noise.Parking: We visited on the off-season (April) and had to park on the street. It was somewhat difficult to find a spot.

Food was okay, I definitely got bagged chips rather than the "house made" ones stated on the menu. When we got our bill, the beer prices were ridiculous. My husband had four that were absolutely 12oz vs my two that were closer to 16oz and the bill came out to $47 for just our drinks. Not quite worth it to me...
