Delaware Valley Humane Society has some of the best staff an animal shelter can have. They treat the animals wonderfully. They're warm and affectionate towards them. They make sure each animal is clean and in a clean environment with something comfy to lay on. They do their best getting to know each animal and assessing what each one needs in regards to being placed in the right home life. The shelter manager Erin Insignia does a terrific job of advertising the place and its residents, of which are available for adoption through organizing special events, raffles, contests, and other creative ways of generating donations and adoptions. DVHS is truly a safehaven and an excellent start for any dog or cat hoping to find their forever home.

Horribly sickly animals. No vet on call and the vet that does come doesn’t know what she’s talking about. And a staff that doesn’t know what the hell they are doing. And a Two faced manager with a roided out husband who tries to fight old men.

Very, very friendly and accommodating! Easy to get to, minutes off of I-88. Excellent setup with plenty of space to meet and play with your prospective new family member! The staff is exceptional and very personable! Would HIGHLY recommend!

I was impressed at how CLEAN this facility is. The people that work here are really, really friendly and they go above and beyond to make sure the animals here are cared for and find homes. I have always been treated with kindness and respect here. I highly recommend DVHS to anyone looking to adopt a cat or a dog and to anyone who needs help re-homing an animal. Very good vibes.

Great experience! Erin is Amazing, she has much compassion for all the animals and sincerely cares about placing them in the right homes. Wants to ensure you go home with your matched furever friend. Met Kara (trainer) so helpful and knowledgeable. I will not go anywhere else to adopt!

Thank u so much for bringing Molly and me together Erin and staff r tremendous and Molly and myself r very unlikely pair but after about 12 days or so I made the decision to adopt her could not be happier I am older and Molly is super strong for a small dog but I am learning how to control her she keeps me active and laughing and getting her in her crate is funny at night I have to chase her around the coffee table but she is learning to know when my voice changes that I mean business we needed each other so I am very grateful for being able to adopt her 💖 thank u so much

Friendly, warm and helpful staff. This place is clean and inviting. I helped a friend surrender a cat here and the staff was compassionate and kind. They could not have handled it better. Highly recommended.

This is a very caring shelter that operates under very tight monetary circumstances. The manager and staff try their utmost for the animals here. Through the years I have adopted a litter of 4 kittens, another cat. and 2 dogs. The person that gave a 1-star review because there is a $30.00 fee for relinquishing their dog is ignorant to the cost of caring for unwanted animals. $30.00 is nothing compared to caring for and vetting a dog. He/she should have thanked them instead of criticizing them. Afterall, he/she was asking them to take on THEIR responsibility to that poor animal.

Will not call me back if anything happens to the dog I want to look at or adopt. While I am happy the dogs have homes, I would have liked a phone call before I wasted an hour of driving to look at them.
