Prices are above the other stores. Other than that the store is clean and some employees are helpful.Update Dec 2023: prices are ridiculously high and produce quality is questionable. I no longer visit the store anymore, would rather go elsewhere. Even if it's farther away.

Ever since the store has switched from Tops, the customer service has gone down hill. I have a poor experiences with cashiers on a regular basis. Generally, the cashiers spend more time talking to each other than their customers. Today, I had to buy flour. The cashier did not say a single word to me. She talked with the person bagging items about her test today. She did not say hello. She did not ask if I want a receipt. She did not say anything. With the high prices at Grand Union, you would expect a respectable level of customer service, but it just isn't there.

Great for convenience to quickly run out to grab an item and be back home in minutes, if you live in Sherrill. This is especially nice for the pharmacy. They occasionally have decent sales as well. Unfortunately, their inventory is smaller than a lot of other grocery stores in the area and their prices are typically higher than local competitors.

Lately cashiers have more time talking than helping customers. Lady had her cart on belt cashier was 2 registers down talking. Lady long hair and glasses has attitude if you questions her. Told her you over charged me well that's is what it rings up. Most cashiers would check on it. Sure enough overcharged me. Item bogo was not computing right it happens . I won't go to her line. Black friday ads more important than running your register.

While I was waiting for my husband in the store I observed a gentleman coming out of the store with I believe he had his briefcase, he was the manager of the store, one of his employees was gathering carts to put back in the rack and he spoke to him,. The employee didn't hear him so he spoke again he still didn't hear him so he stood any waited until the employee stop pushing the cart and called his name again. The employee pleasantly responded and the manager told him to have a really nice weekend. I thought that was impressive that the manager wouldn't just plot on out of the store to go home but he made a point of reaching out to one of his employees and tell him to have a really nice weekend.

It's a hit or miss for good deals. I love the 99 cent produce shelf and the marked down bakes goods. Canned products, cereal and things of that nature are way to high priced for a family of 6. I just can't afford to shop there.

This store just cannot make a decent sub sandwich. After the last time I said I wouldn't purchase another one, but decided to give it a try again. Pathetic. The bread was basically burned , and hard. The toppings were just about scarce enough to be nonexistent. The food prep person took 1 slice of onion and separated the rings and placed 4 small rings on the sandwich. The lettuce was about 1 tablespoon worth. I did get 3 slices of tomato though.I should have told the store to keep them but paid for them anyway. After my wife took her 1st bite, she looked at me and we decided to throw the bread out, added more meat and toppings and put it on different bread. Never again. Funny how a store that makes some of the best loaf bread for dinner fails so miserably at a simple sandwich.

Prices are on the high side, products are limited, but the store is at least clean which is more than some of the other local options can say. My only real beef is the terrible staff. The cashiers are the worst of the bunch, nearly every time I have stopped there the cashiers are having personal conversations over customers and I’ve had them make mistakes (scanning an item twice as they’re not paying attention as just one example). The last time I was in there three girls working the registers where too busy talking about baby daddy drama to step back to the cash register and help myself or either of the other two people there. I unpacked my entire cart before I had to greet them to get their attention and then one had the audacity to say hang on while she finished her conversation. Follow that up with the damaging of items because they just huck stuff into bags instead of actually packing them with any semblance of thought. I could say this is an isolated incident but it’s not. I could give several other examples. As for staff outside the cashiers I’ve never once seen so much as a friendly smile let alone an acknowledgement. Heaven forbid you ask for help. As soon as it’s safe I’ll be making the 45min drive to Wegman’s Instead it’s well worth the price of gas to not have to deal with the hassle. I say that living a mere 5 minutes from this grocery store.

At the risk of sounding fat...Ive been in for fried chicken about 5 times over the past few months because it's really good... But 4 out of 5 times, I've left empty handed. There is never any ready and I don't want to wait for 20 minutes on my way home from work. Maybe have more ready around dinner time? Just a suggestion. Otherwise, I recently moved out of the area and overall, I liked the place. Just have more fried chicken ready for the next time I'm passing through!

The place was clean and well lit , all the store shelves were stocked well,with easy to read sign-age. Very large selection of groceries. Was nice to visit a full service market again. Much better then dollar general.

July 14, Cashier Elaine went above and beyond great customer service. I am from out of town, didn't have coupon for eggs, she not only got coupon but brought eggs to check out. She then discovered a customer had left a bag of groceries. After completing my check out, she ran to the parking lot to stop customer from leaving without groceries. This is the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. Congrats and Thank You, Elaine!!!!

Bought 2 subs yesterday, one turkey, one ham.Apparently the turkey was bad as it gave some of us food poisoning.I honestly didn't think the switch from TOPs to Grand Union could make that store worse, apparently it did.Another place to cross off the list and avoid entirely due to insane prices compared to other local stores.

Price gouging on many items.Example: Contact lens cleaner is $8-$10 more per bottle than what Tops or any nearby store offers.They must have gold edged paper towel as well with those prices...

Even though prices are a little higher than Wal-Mart Supercenter,the cashiers (and management)are always friendly and go above and beyond. I can almost always find everything that's on my shopping list. Store is well stocked,clean,and at night,the parking lot is well lit.
