On our crusade for the best NY style bagel on LI, we stopped at The Eccentric Bagel on the way to the Hamptons from the North Fork. One of the best bagels that we had while in Long Island. The crust was crackly, the crumb was dense and chewy...in short these were some of the best bagels. I will say that the breakfast bagel sandwiches are huge and should be shared. Definitely would stop for a bagel if you're in Shelter Island.

I had the MOST AMAZING bagels ever at eccentric bagel. If you have not been here yet you MUST GO! The bagel sandwiches are unreal, I had the everything with cream cheese avocado and lox. The bagel was the perfect texture and consistency. I could also tell the ingredients were of the highest quality. Do not forget to try their nitro cold brew and dessert bagel!!!! Amazing experience and a must visit!

The Eccentric Bagel isn't just place for breakfast, brunch or lunch --it's a total experience! We loved the colorful and clever decor, the super fun staff, and the home fries and eggs hit it out of the park! Darryn Weinstein has truly mastered the best bagel I've ever had and I'm a New Yorker! In addition to the basics, I tried as many of the incredible special flavors as I could. The Jalapeno-Cheddar and the Smoked Bacon left a lasting impression. And don't miss the Nitro Cold Brew...it's really frothy and yum! Absolutely worth a day trip!

Mm! The bagel is quality. I had the everything bagel. Covered with seeds.. but I love that. Their vegetable cream cheese was like a spinach artichoke dip. The staff was smiley, friendly, and thoughtful. Would go again!

This place exceeded my expectations with fresh chewy bagels and well made sandwiches. I saw the everything bagels come out hot and fresh, so we got them with lox in two different preparations, the Silver Beach and the New Yorker. Both were excellent.

Wow what a show stopper. A must must eat if you’re on the island.The shop has amazing feeling right when you walk in. The choices are incredible. The line up on the walls is full of local favorite treats.Not to mention. FIRST place to carry athe Treatery signature choc chip cookies.Amazing all around can’t wait to try ALL the things in this shop.

Absolutely loved the Eccentric Bagel! Decided to visit Shelter Island as a weekend getaway from western LI and did not expect to find one of my favorite bagel places of all time. Loved being in the area for the first time ever, and will definitely be back to the Eccentric Bagel, which has my highest recommendation. In addition to some amazing bagel sandwiches, the tuna salad was some of the best I've ever had. Loved seeing Cel-Ray so far east too!

Amazing! My sisters and I stopped here on a short visit to Shelter Island. The shop itself is well designed and the bagels were excellent. The bagels had a great thin crackly crust with a tender and chewy interior. We had the za'atar bagel, a fun green St. Patty's day bagel, and the Reuben bagel sandwich.

Eccentric Bagel is the first place to visit on Shelter Island. The bagels, food and the warm friendly atmosphere is refreshing and welcoming. The bagels are beyond delicious. Darryn has his own special way of making his bagel creations incredibly scrumptious with his own creative twist of imagination. Eating one of Darryn’s bagel sandwich’s is an unforgettable experience. The Eccentric Bagel is a place that will entice your taste buds beyond anything you have ever experienced and have you craving for more!

Great addition to the island! The team is clearly taking this very seriously with a great store & more importantly great food! The bagels are very good and interesting. I said the plain was more unique than I was used to and I told my wife it seemed like a sourdough option - I do not know if that is by design, but the outside has a nice crunch with a very soft inside - perfect combination. I’ve only been on the island a few days since they opened and already went 3 or 4 times! I look forward to being a patron many times this summer and years to come.

Best thing to happen to bagels since the original H&H! Can’t say enough great things. If you’re on shelter island it’s a must visit - on weekends they have amazing special bagels flavors. Try the cheddar jalapeño if you’re feeling adventurous 💕

Best bagels I've ever had and I lived in the city for years. Their sandwiches are amazing, but their pot pies are to die for. The owners and the workers are all aces! Good luck finding a better spot to grab a bite.

Hyped up bagels, either raw or over cooked majority of the time. Been told numerous times over the phone the grill is closed and closing soon yet half hour to an hour later when driving by there is still smoke coming from their hoods and line out the door. If you do call and order with how loud the place is not only don't they hear you but also will laugh continuously like girls in the locker room and say "oh sorry didn't hear you what was that?" while continuing to laugh. Their staff is a bunch of girls who do not take their job or anything seriously and act unprofessional, meanwhile the owner is letting it continue.

The Eccentric bagel is a must stop when out in the Hamptons. Hop on the ferry and have the best bagel ever. I had the New Yorker, an everything bagel with delicious lox, cream cheese and capers...so good! The design of the store is a real show stopper! You walk in and just want to smile, unique products, smiling staff and the best food! Outdoor seating is just as fun as the inside design. Best kept secret in the Hamptons!

By far the best bagel I have had in forever- fresh, doughy and delicious! The Mahi spread was also amazing! The space was clean, fun and well organized. The staff was friendly. No photos of my bagel though- I ate it too quickly!

The first word that comes to mind: WOW!After seeing this place on Instagram and wanting to try it all summer I finally made it yesterday. It was everything I thought it would be! I’m a New Yorker and I don’t say this lightly - this was the best bagel I’ve ever eaten. They gave a huge packed sandwich the way it should be! Snacks were all amazing and so was the cold brew!I’m on my way back already!

Very cute spot in shelter island. They seem to truly care about having fun with their food. Bagel didn’t taste fresh sadly…I got a classic BECSPK and the bagel just didn’t have that bounce I enjoy so much.

Fantastic bagel. Great service, even smiles from the sleepy kid. And, don’t get me started on the jams. The Temptations at 7:30am…? A great way to launch one’s day. Were there five bagel shops on the island, this would still be the joint.

Literally the best bagels I ever tasted. The zaatar and cheddar jalapeño are insanely good. I normally scoop bagels out cuz, calories but these were so good I scarfed them down whole. The place is funky and adorable. Wishing Darryn and Amy much success. This is a great addition to the neighborhood
