Buyers Beware! This store doesn't act in a responsible manner.I went to purchase semi-gloss white door and trim paint, asking for assistance from an employee. He asked what I needed, selected the "paint" from a shelf and put it in the shaking machine while I shopped for other items. I took the purchase home ($36 for a quart! I paid since I was short on time.). When I went to paint the door with a new roller the "paint" didn't cover the surface. Long-story-short, I was sold a paint "base" and not paint.I returned to the store to get a refund (wasn't given what I asked for) and the manager flatly refused. He gave me a smirk about returning an opened can. No discussion. My problem. Didn't seem to care that the employee had chosen the "paint" - not me.I try to support local businesses, but this one often can be a difficult choice since the goods are over-priced and the inventory is limited. Add to that now - staff not knowing what they are doing and a general lack of customer support - I'll take my business elsewhere.Don't rely on what the employees tell you because they won't stand by that when the employee guesses wrong.

I went to your store to purchase bulbs for my living room chandelier. Your salesman told me these are the appropriate bulbs. When I got home, I discovered the bulbs that I was sold, were exclusively for battery operated candles. After I opened one of the packages, I thought I would return the unopened packages to the store for a refund or credit. When I got to the store with my receipt, the clerk told me they were Christmas items and not eligible for credit or refund. I did not know the bulbs were Christmas items, I simply went in to purchase chandelier bulbs and he did not provide chandelier bulbs

Bought a vent cover at store, I asked the friendly gentleman that helped me if the item doesn't fit can I return. He assured me I could. When I went to return was not able because the the item was out of its plastic & manager said it can't be resold. All the wrapping & bar code was there. How do you know its going to fit or not unless you remove plastic. I am sure they rewrapped it because I kept everything.Not good customer service

Great local hardware store. Employees helped me to find parts for my sprinkler system, were friendly and prompt with deliveries, and are always helpful and polite in store. Store itself has always been as clean. Prices are reasonable and they frequently have sales through Ace rewards.

Had just come from home Depot, they could not only not get me the "non existent" aisle, but all of their employees had no idea what the saw was, although website said they not only had it in stock but they had quantity! 2 mins in Ace & they had the same ordered for me! We need to stop using big box stores & utilize the mom & pops!

No better place. Guaranteed if you ask for an item, the (always friendly) person helping will know *precisely* where to find it. I only visit occasionally when staying with my folks, but mom and dad have been loyal customers for years. Ace, in general, is great. But this location is tops.

Awesome staff... special thanks to Jeanette and Steve. Well stocked and friendly. All of the staff have been helpful over the years... Austin, Patricia and others have helped me with so many projects.. they have saved me hundreds of dollars with their knowledge. DYI would never be the same without this store! Support local, it is worth it! Keep up the good work and thank you!

This store is immaculate. The staff is extremely polite and friendly. I will return. The shelves are well stocked and unusually organized. You cannot find this type of service and merchandise in a Home Depot or Lowes.Old School Hardware Store!

We ordered our Scotts 4 spep system online along with with a few other things we wanted to buy today. Within twenty minutes had an email saying it was ready for pickup. It was our first visit to this Ace hardware and will not be our last. Our order was already at curbside when we pulled around the side and two wonderful people who were working came right out to help load up our car. Thank you Ace Hardware for making it so easy buy and pick up our items. All in all a very nice hardware store. The associates were fantastic.

This is your epitome of a friendly local hardware store. Much nicer to go to when your in the need for something rather than a big box store. It still amazes me how the staff here know exactly where any specific item might be. Rarely do they not have something when i need it and sometimes they have things that the big box stores do not carry, but your always guaranteed a friendly smile and hello when you go there.

I came in today looking for a specialty bolt and was greeted and helped right away by an incredibly knowledgeable gentleman named Austin. Austin understood fully what I was looking for and even wrote down on a piece of paper the correct specs and size that I was looking for since they don’t carry it. Thank you some much Austin you’re awesome!

This review is in regards to the short lady with the big hair. I think she's the manager or the owner.The previous interaction I had with her was over the summer after the stores "paint expert" mixed the wrong color outdoor deck paint. Note that I brought the original paint color that I purchased at Ace the year before in as a reference to the paint I needed. It even had the code on the cap. The only mistake I made was not checking inside the cans before returning home with it.I come back to return it and she has this "huffing and puffing" attitude as if it was my fault that her employee screwed up. No mention of my inconvenience of having to drive there and back and there and back.Fast forward to yesterday, November 20th, 2018. I go into the store after work around 6 PM.. I browse the store for 20 minutes and fill a basket with the various things I need, only to be informed at the checkout that the credit card machines don't work. I ask if they could hold the basket aside and I'll be back the next day and the gentlemen agreed. He was nice about it and apologized and said someone should have informed me the credit card machines were down when I walked in. No big deal there, not upset about that.But I come back in the next day to purchase the $50+ worth of merchandise I had picked out the day before that they said they would hold aside for me. Short big haired lady is at the check out counter. I'm standing at the check out for about 45 seconds before she acknowledges me. I explain how I had asked if they could put the basket aside for me the night before and if they still had it aside. She just says, "it was probably put back." She doesn't even look. Well okay, lady. If you don't want $50 in sales. I know it's not much but I won't be returning here for anything. So lost a customer, good service.Note : Everyone else who works there is usually very friendly, no qualms with them.

I am a regular customer of this location and I often choose to patronize this business rather than go to the larger Box stores. I was disappointed with the customer service I received today when an item that I have been searching for came in stock at the same time that I had called the store to inquire. This particular item does not last long in stores currently so with that in mind I asked if I could pay for it over the phone so they could hold it for me so I could have enough time to drive safely to location to get it as I had a urgent need for it. The manager refused to help me with this simple courtesy request. Ordering online was not an option as I was on the road driving. When I arrived I was able to get the item I needed but did not appreciate the lack of customer courtesy. I said nothing about it and made my purchase. As I was loading the item into my vehicle, the manager was outside and joked that I was able to make my purchase despite my earlier expressed concerns. It was only then that I that I asked him what was the issue in extending customer courtesy in allowing me to pay for the item over the phone and holding it for me? He began to tell me something about cards being declined which really makes no sense this day in age, you would see that before you hung up the phone. I let him know that I thought that was a poor excuse and he continued on as I was attempting to leave almost as if he wanted to debate with me and make me see it his way. I asked him why he was harassing me as I'm leaving without incident. I choose this business over the bigger stores and I do not appreciate not being valued as a customer. I'll go to lowes next time.

Could shop there aisle by aisle. Like a kid in a candy store! Couldnt turn more than 2 aisles when another associate would ask if i could use help finding something...Much more intimate and personable than the larger named "warehouse" stores. Love Ace!

This is a beautifully run store- the employees are helpful, the merchandise is orderly and parking is plentiful.I highly recommend going this store for your hardware needs.

Nice local hardware store with good knowledgeable staff, much better than the big box storesThis is a full service older style hardware store that offers some repair services and sharpening services in addition to all the regular stuff that a hardware store sells.The staff is much more knowledgeable than your typical big box store but the prices are still competitive with them.

They have it all, plus great service. Whether you need a piece of hardware, pool supplies, paint or lawn care products, Ace has it. They also have pleasant people with knowledge to help you complete your purchase and your project. Don't bother with Lowes, go right to Ace.

Went here with Kelly quickly the other night when my Dad was about to grill our chicken burgers but we had run out of propane! We parked near the propane refill station which is located in the back left behind the store. I ran inside to pay, then took my receipt back out and showed the employee out there who signed the receipt and took the tank I had brought with us in the car. I have to say that this whole process went pretty smoothly. Thank you Ace for being there at 8:30 PM when I needed you the most.

Ace hardware is still old school you can ask a question about a project you want to do and somebody in the store will have an answer.. not like home Depot,, Lowe's or Walmart etc..

Good hardware store with housewares and other things to serve the University student crowd. Excellent selection of stainless fasteners. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, value added services like saw blade sharpening and window screen repairs.

Store used to have great help, people who knew what they were talking about and how to help. You may have had to wait a few minutes, but you knew you were going to get an answer. Now, forget it. The staff is about as clueless as can be. I actually walked out of the store, go somewhere else and save time.

Convenient. Pricier than Home Depot, of course. But you can find interesting hardware and hardware-like things here. Toys too. No power tools though...

This place is good in a pinch for last minute hardware/homegoods needs but is very expensive comparatively to similar stores. I will say that there selection and variance of goods is impressive.
