Update July 2023: we went again today and it was the same thing and I see I’m not the only reviewer saying this so this place really needs to fix their operations. They couldn’t give any soft ice cream in a cone because it was so soft. This is an ice cream place!! We won’t be back. It’s a bummer because my kids really love the theme here.My kids absolutely love the cow theme and I've always loved the variety of flavors. However they have GOT to fix their freezers or refrigeration system. We have been several times this season already and every single thing we tried is melted when they hand it to you. Soft, hard, custard... think of an ice cream cone after several minutes on a hot day. However, the days we've gone it hasn't even been above 70 degrees. The one day it was too cold to sit outside so we sat in our car, however the ice cream was still melted when handed to us. They even put my husband's hard ice cream cone in a bowl because it could not stand up on the cone upon being scooped. It's pretty disappointing and I hope they can fix it ASAP as hotter weather is coming!

I went to go get ice cream with my family and this employee was being so rude to this little old lady and said stop grabbing other people's ice cream.Of course their staff members are going to say they were concerned of the health and safety of others. I can assure you that was not the issue. I was there and indeed was the old lady's Ice cream and no one else's. I asked for a bowl she gave me a dirty look and totally ignored me. When she gave me my ice cream she shoved it in my hand. I asked the other employee what her name was so I can report how nasty she was talking to the customers and the girl said what does it matter our mom owns this place and she will not get in any trouble. I asked for the manager and she would not direct me to the manager to talk too.That's says so many words and I will not be going back and I will tell many people to stay away. I will be reporting this place to the better business bureau.

Ice cream is very good but I feel that it's pretty pricey for what you get! I mean over 4 dollars for a small soft serve and 7 dollars for a flurry, for 3 people to get ice cream is almost 20 bucks! You can buy a couple gallons for that!

Best ice cream in town. Wonderful menu with exciting delicious flavors. Pleasant staff and clean environment. Always plenty of napkins and seating. Very family friendly place.

Used to frequent this location a few times a year as they have a lot of different flavors, and it's close to home. But since the opening this season, it's been nothing but problems. Our ice cream has consistently been half melted and today was probably the worst. Thankfully our kids cones were ok, but my "medium" was a small melted blob in a dish. My husband's order had been forgotten while 10 other people got their orders behind him. He asked where his order was and they responded with that they had to change out the ice cream. They then gave him a small bowl of mostly melted ice cream that they had scraped out of the bottom of the container. My husband pulled 3 pieces of paper out of his ice cream. He's not the type of person to complain about anything, but this was pretty ridiculous.

Last year, we would drive 20 minutes to get this ice cream. It was always fantastic!!! BUT this year, when we went a few days ago, something has definitely changed. The soft vanilla ice cream was actually tasteless, the waffle cones were thin and very crumbly. We know everyone is trying to make ends meet and looking for ways to save but believe me, you had a great product last year and now it is very different and very inferior.Maybe the machine was not operating properly, I don't know. I do know that we'll try again in case it was a bad day but if you've changed your mix...get the old one back. And get a better waffle cone. Your competitors are serving great waffle cones all around you.I do want to say that the staff is wonderful. They are so nice and polite and the cone size is great. They do not skimp on that.Here's hoping that next visit is a better one.

Ordered peanut butter ice cream and it was so sour it tasted like lemon. Told the girl and she just stared at me and said ok. No offer to make me a different cone. Will NEVER return! It's ok the way by to work and will go way the other way before going there again!

Love the way ice cream! Absolutely delicious! My issue was the girl that served me boyfriend and I, all was good but when I received my cone and had no sprinkles like I asked so I just said “oh i also had sprinkles !” She gave me a funny look then went and got the sprinkles whatever, small thing no big deal? When she handed it back to me I said a simple “thank you, sorry about that.” And she Quietly and super annoyed sounding “yeah whatever.” Then a small “bitch.” Followed after, I wasn’t gonna start anything so I walked away, I don’t think I’ll be coming back if that’s how the staff acts over a small thing like sprinkles 🤣

Great local place. I went there using a coupon from the campground and then another time or 2 after that. This place never disappointed us with the homemade custard and the regular ice cream has a great many flavors. The portion size was actually perfect not to big but not to small either. I would highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Even with curbside delivery to your car, today's visit was amazing. A bit of a tricky order and they nailed it. Also, I appreciated that since they are only accepting credit cards for payment right now, she had me show her the card instead of having me read it out loud as others have done in the past. Two thumbs up and yummy custard!!!

The ice cream is always very good with service to match. I feel it a bit pricy for what we ordered but I know how expensive their products must be. I will never begrudge a small business a chance to survive in this current climate. We just won't be able to go out for treats with the grandkids as often.

I mean....it was soft serve custard, so what could really go wrong. That said, this place was tasty and filled the hole in the stomach of a couple of hungry hikers. This little shop had a wide variety of soft serve custard flavors if you count the flavor shot options. Additionally, they had a light lunch menu, and probably at least forty flavors of hand dipped hard ice cream. Good seating area outside as well.

They have the best Ice Cream around. They use Upstate Farm soft served ice cream. They give generous portions as well. The staff is always friendly and welcoming! They also cook good food if you're hungry and arent sure where to go. All around a great place!

I know we're going through a lot now, but I went there yesterday and all I wanted was a small dish of ice cream. First the girl bypassed my car for two other cars that drove up after me and took their orders and when I said something she said I'll be right back and went back to the building. Then she came back and went to another car that just drove up. When she finally came to me I explained that I was here before the other three cars. She said I'm sorry then took my order of just one dish ice cream, that was 730 then I was told they only take cards ok I gave her card number plus I gave her a tip, thinking this should be quick. 15 minutes later she came back saying card machine down we have to have cash, I'm thinking one dish ice cream could have brought with them to say that would have been on my way. Now it's 8pm still waiting I'm seeing all these cars getting their orders even cars after me, not just one thing but ice cream and food. I stay calm to see how long it will take. Needless to say I left at 825pm and never got my order but she did get a tip.

In years past portions were large and prices were fair. Now under new ownership, portions are miniscule and prices are rising. I just paid $9.00 for a medium and a small soft serve. Other rating sites are also reporting similar dissatisfaction with the current business. Until the problems are addressed I would recommend going elsewhere for ice cream and frozen custard.

Perry's ice cream, hard to beat that. Very friendly staff. Also very efficient, there was 11 of us, and they served all of us without any problems at all. Cones are huge, a small is two large scoops.

Good stuff right there! How can you go wrong with frozen custard? Friendly staff. Cool little cow facts on the ceiling. Only downer was that we didn't take time to digest the entire menu (which is quite long) before ordering.

Normally I would never give this place a 2 star but lately the estate have been nasty and just so inconsiderate to other guest. If a friend or someone comes they will literally just pay attention to them and than makes it knows that’s there kiddie cone is now a medium because “she loves her”. Like.. but your treat the mom after her like garbage just trying to give her kid a nice day out. Okay Max’s. Get your employees together!

The lady that works at the ice cream place is very very unpleasant. She was rolling her eyes on my son and I when we asked her question about the special that was being served. She rolled them again when she saw that I was paying with my debit card. Then when she handed me my ice cream, the cherry fell off... I said but the cherry fell off. She looked at me then looked away and said “how can I help you?” to the next costumer. It was in the middle of the day the place had 3 costumers. I was wondering why there was not many people there on such a nice location. It’s the costumer service that is absolutely awful.

Great little custard stand! We also loved that they had a covered deck to enjoy our frozen treats outside of the hot sun. They accept cash or cards.

I have loved coming here since beginning of June. I haven’t worn a mask once this year, yet last night was the first time I was told I can’t be served. So I wanna know what changed. My $10 isn’t going to hurt your business but the fact I was refused service after a almost two months of not being refused is silly. I’ll probably come back but I’m not sure when.
