Our wonderful dog Ace now four years old has been cared for from day one at Riverside. There is a very nice vibe from the minute you walk in. They're friendly at the front desk and you can tell they enjoy working there. Our vet is wonderful and Ace has no problem being there for his exams. WE feel very confident having Riverside as our Veterinary Hospital and highly recommend them!

I’ve been taking my boys here since I adopted them in 2018 and have relied heavily on them in the last month. The doctors, techs, assistants, and receptionists are always pleasant and professional. The office has various forms of communication and meds can be ordered online. We see Dr. Mueller the majority of the time and she treats my boys like they are her own and answers all of my questions thoroughly. Bonus points for being a women-owned business 😀. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

I cannot speak highly enough about our experiences with Riverside Veterinary Hospital. The staff has been amazing with the care of our small zoo of pets, including our two dogs, rabbit, and multiple rats. We have worked pretty regularly with both Dr. Mueller and Dr. Velez over the past 4 years, and I always leave appointments feeling that they have fully communicated any health concerns and given my pets exemplary treatment. Not only are they excellent veterinarians, but all around great people work with that truly care for the well-being of their clients.

Just recently switched to this veterinary office... they were super thorough, double. even triple checking my dogs medical records, making sure they had all the correct information to give them the best care. Dr. Valez is an incredible vet. She is kind, caring, compassionate, and always puts animals and their care first. She and Dr. Mueller have created such a wonderful space, I always feel like my dog is getting the best and most gentle care possible.Dr. Valez has cared for my family's pets for years now and has helped us through the easiest of visits to even the most difficult ones when we had to put our cat Millie to sleep. She is more than our vet she is family.When I moved to North Carolina, Dr. Velez and all the staff at Riverside are the standard against which I compare my new vet down here. I have been religiously taking my pets to Riverside since I moved them from the Henrietta Vet Hospital clinic. The staff and the doctors at Riverside are wonderful people. Doc Mueller (and Doc Velez) has to be the prettiest Vet(s) that I have ever seen in my life, most of them are really old men in this profession... About Doc Mueller, she has been the Primary Doc for my animals, But don't let her good looks fool you on her competence. She is an amazing Vet. Last year one of my cats had to have his leg amputated because he got caught in a wire fence while trying to jump it and shattered his leg. Doc Mueller x-rayed him immediately and gave me feedback and different options on what is the best course of action, and based upon her personal and professional opinion and expertise I went with amputation as much as I didn't want to. But now he (my cat ~ Cha) is the fastest three-legged cat that I have ever seen, and he runs everywhere all the time, and he has the best appetite in the world. Doc Mueller worked with us during this hard time after his amputation to get him the right kinds of food and medications so that he can be healthy, and pain free.Then a few months after that my older Labrador Retriever Tiffany started to show her age, couldn't eat, walk, or move much, and Doc Mueller and team again came to the rescue. Doc Mueller prescribed home therapy, talked about options at Cornell, and gave us a plethora of information to help us help Tiffany through this difficult journey in the last stages of her life. She prescribed medications at the last minute and even stayed after closing to give me those meds so that I could take care of Tiffany, even when she started to really turn for the worse. Within a few weeks my Tiffany passed away, and Doc Mueller sent us a sympathy card. Everyone there cared for Tiffany at such a high level. Tiffany loved her annuals... maybe mostly for the doggie snacks, but even more-so because everyone showed her much love and affection.Then came our new puppy, another Lab (Olive). They have been her Vets, since she was only inches long, when she had a litter, and even through a surgery. Olive passed away yesterday from complications 3 weeks after surgery. After surgery, she was running and jumping and had to be throttled back from having so much enthusiasm. She had a lot of stitches from an infected growth. COVID has absolutely destroyed the medical profession with doctors and vets not being able to do surgical procedures expeditiously due to backlog. Her surgery was as planned, and she came home the same day. I'm bumbling for words, she was just 4 years 10 months old. I lost the most precious little lady after so much care and attention. Olive was always happy to go there, and always comfortable there.They are such a wonderful group that my dogs have always been comfortable in the vet office.I like that they follow up with me on items with my animals. My Doctor (for me) doesn't even follow up with me the way that they take care of their patients.Folks that are giving this reputable Vet Clinic/Hospital a bad score on the star system here must really have had some extreme circumstances that just couldn't be worked with, because they have done everything in their power to help me and my beautiful animals.

They really love and treat your pets as their own. This place has been nothing but AMAZING! They have gone above and beyond for my family for along time. My wife and I had our 17 year old dog put down today. The staff mad the extremely hard task that was at hand for us less difficult. I was really touched to see that as the Veterinarian cried with us as she administered the Beuthinasia. I would refer as well as encourage anyone looking for a quality veterinary location to choose Riverside. They definitely brought ease to our aching hearts. And for that I will be eternally grateful.

We adopted our new Shepard mix puppy (1÷ months) from their adoption service located downstairs from the vet clinic. We LOVE him! Quentin definitely picked us...we were allowed to see the dogs that we were interested in and the third puppy was our final choice. The adoption process was quick...the staff was wonderful and caring. We would definitely recommend!!

I’ve been going to this vet for nearly 11yrs when we adopted out pit. Once it changed hands we didn’t know what to expect. I’ve been pleasantly surprised and I can’t say enough how much I appreciate this entire staff. Our favorites stayed on and we gained an incredible doctor for our pets (also known as our children!). We lost our cat of 14 years and the experience we shared with Dr. Mueller during this process makes us beyond thankful for her compassion and beautiful soul. We continue to see her for our dogs needs and she’s always been attentive, thorough and truly cares about the best course of treatment for your pet, in every situation. TERRIBLE VET! I am a nurse and im away on a travel contract, I was notified by his sitter what is going on with my dog I know its a ear infection. I just wanted to atleast try a antibiotic before I have to cancel my contract states away for something so minor. (FYI hes been going here for 6 yrs!) GOOD FOR NOTHING!

We love Riverside! We have two dogs and one cat that we bring to Riverside.Our one dog, Chase, always has a hard time getting in the door and into a room. He can be shy at first and sometimes skeptical of new people. Stephanie came into the room we were in to process our paperwork, and he immediately started wagging his tail and wanting her to pet him. I knew then that she must be a special person, because he can be very picky!! All staff have been great with him, getting him to feel comfortable there. He even let Richie cut his nails one time a few years back when we were having trouble!We have had great experiences with all staff, have seen both DRs, and love them both. They are knowledgeable, welcoming, easy to talk to, and make your pet(s) feel safe. They will even take time out of their day to call you with any follow up information or to answer questions.Also, our other dog, Cami, loves Dr Velez!We live close to many other vet offices, but love and trust Riverside, as do our animals, which I feel is extremely important and always makes the drive worth it!

Dr. Mueller is the absolute best and really cares about your pets. The office staff are friendly and helpful. Despite a huge crisis in the veterinary world, everyone here is still dedicated and kind. They answer emails and texts if you have trouble reaching them and have online/text billing which makes check in and out easy.If you are reading through here looking for boarding or daycare, this is a very safe place with wonderful staff. I’m sure they book up fast!!

The exceptional care starts as soon as you walk into the door. The front desk staff is always super friendly. Dr. Velez goes above and beyond. Her level of compassion for animals is very evident in everything she does. Any time I have a concern, I can contact her and she replies right away. She was on vacation once and Dr. Mueller got back to me almost right away. That just shows that they both really truly care and want to help. Thank you both. Never had a good experience here. The front office staff is disorganized and usually chatting amongst themselves - yet don’t relay information to the Doctor. Final straw, left waiting for 20 minutes after I was so clear that I had to be on time to help my ailing father - when I asked the front desk for help - they were not helpful at all. Switching vets after 3 bad experiences with this place.

We adopted a dog a few years ago and as it happened we couldn’t keep him. When we brought the dog in I was treated rudely and poorly. The receptionist in the adoption clinic could not have been more heartless or less compassionate, she wouldn’t even let me use the phone. She is truly a horrible person, I hope that one day when she is in need of help the responders are kinder to her than she is to others
