Today was my second visit and once again the food was outstanding! This is a brewery but also one of the best Asian inspired restaurants I’ve been to. The cauliflower is so crispy and spicy, the lettuce wraps were like nothing I’ve ever had before and the noodle dishes were perfect. The beer is also great and the service is welcoming and friendly. I can’t recommend it enough.

Great find! They had a nice mix of beers, and the sodas were very tasty. It all tasted like real ingredients, not artificial in any way. We also got food, it was delicious and so flavorful! We will definitely be returning!

Wow! I wasn’t sure what to expect and not much for trying new foods but I’m so glad the mood struck me and I did. We had the wings, chicken Lau’wich and stir fry noodles. Unbelievable!

Just back from Bound by Fate's 3rd anniversary and Beer by Candlelite dinner. We got there about 5:30 and the place was packed. Tealights were everywhere and was just a beautiful atmosphere (but hard to tell if there were any tables in the back). We did manage to find one up front, thankful for the unseasonable warmish weather as we were right by the door. Ordering seemed like it might be difficult because of how crowded the bar was but it turned out to be pretty easy to be heard (though I did have to look up what beers they had (hard to read the menu on the wall in the dim light)).Food wise, we were fascinated by the Laotian cuisine and started with spring rolls and tamarind fries. The fries had just a touch of sourness from the tamarind that paired well with either the garlic mayo or the spicy ketchup. For the main we split an order of the curry noodles with shrimp. The shrimp were large and tender, the coconut balanced out the curry in the sauce and the cabbage added nice texture. We quickly ate all of that dish.We finished the meal with an amazing sticky plum cake. The cake was warm and moist and sweet, the toffee glaze a rich and indulgent way to top of the evening. For drinks, I had flight of beers ranging from hazy IPA to a malt brown ale. The rye saison was particularly for with the curry noodles. My wife had a house-made hibiscus Laos soda with botanical gin. Sweet and definitely would be refreshing on a warmer day.The service was great, very friendly. How they knew where we were sitting after we ordered the food while standing at the bar is a mystery. The folks behind the bar did a great job of making sure no one waited too long to order or pay, keeping an eye out on all three sides. Will definitely be back.

In 2010, I had the wonderful opportunity to explore Northern Laos by bicycle. I find myself daydreaming, at times, of the people, the food and the beauty of Laos...... and a BeerLao!When I learned there was a place that served Lao food in this area, I had to go. Not to be too nostalgic but sitting on the deck at Haan Lao, overlooking the pond was reminiscent of a few meals in Laos. The menu is not large but more than adequate and varied to satisfy most anyone. The quality of the food was excellent and so fresh. While there is no BeerLao, they offer a fine selection of home brew to satisfy anyones palate.Take the drive, you won't be disappointed.

I'm obsessed with their cauliflower wings and they have decent cocktails. Great vibe on the patio with live music & nice views of the nearby fountain. Unfortunately, they ran out of rice around 6:30 pm on a Saturday, so we didn't get a chance to try any other dishes, but this just means I'll have to return - highly recommend!

This was a trek for us but glad we made it. The food was unique unlike anything we've tried before. There were plenty of veg options especially In the app section. The kids went crazy for the desserts (see the pics!) And even liked the chicken a lot (not spicy). The adult food was heavily spiced. The cauliflower was unlike any spicy cauliflower I've had as it seemed like it was raw on the inside (which was weird but the seasoning made up for it). Beer was good, plenty of choices (but doesn't beat my fav brewery).

We happened to stumble upon this place. The friendly bartender greeted us quickly and suggested a couple of different beers as well as the wings. We werent planning on eating since dinner was cooking at home but glad we did! The wings were amazing the beer was amazing the place was really cool. Wished we could have stayed for the band. We will be back!

Another post from a place I tried a couple of weeks ago - Haan Lao at Bound by Fate Brewing Company in Schuylerville. What a wonderful treat! We enjoyed trying several plates of this new-to-us food, unlike anything we had before. The small plates were perfect for sharing, not too heavy, and full of flavor.Spicy soy glazed wings that were meaty, saucy, and full of just the right amount of heat to start. We loved the Spare Ribs, but felt it was a smaller portion compared to the other plates, so I might not order them again.Next up were the Tamarind Fries, with flavoring that reminded me of salt and vinegar chip seasoning. So addicting that we devoured the whole plate. And last, the Kua Mee Stir Fried Noodles with Brisket and no bean sprouts.Oh my goodness, the brisket was so tender and the sauce flavorful and well balanced. This spot is a hidden gem and a must try, worth a drive out to Schuylerville for sure!

We came here tonight for trivia and it was great! The trivia was a bit hard to hear but the questions were well thought out and the food was amazing. Would highly recommend!

How cool is it to find a Laotian restaurant in the small, tucked away village of Schuylerville? My fiancé really enjoyed his craft brewed beer and I had a lovely hibiscus cocktail. The brewery and restaurant are in a relaxed and cool atmosphere with great music and friendly staff. We ordered the pork sausage, pork belly appetizer, and the red curry. All three dishes were delicious but the curry was next level. It had a nice heat to it and a really complex and nuanced flavor. We ate every last bite of it. We finished it off with the fun hibiscus donuts. Will definitely be back!

Small food menu with a good chicken sandwich but not much else. Fries are WAY too salty and underdone. Good beer selection but not enough options. Cool outdoor seating though

Bound by fate brewing is an excellent place for both food and drink. My wife and I went there and sat out on the back deck overlooking a beautiful pond. Their IPAs were delicious and we also had their deconstructed tacos as well as their bread bowl soup. everything was amazing and I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area or anyone driving through.Update: the Lao food introduced this week was unbelievablely good. Excited that a few of these items will become permanent staples on the menu.

Laos cuisine, craft beer, a funky vibe, and all in the quaint downtown of Schuylerville. The cauliflower app was top notch, leveling undertones of sweet with an enjoyable and lingering heat. The ipa rivals any lighter locals at 6.5% and is full bodied with a great juice forward hop variety. Fantastic to see places like this in my home town!

We were excited to try a new restaurant on our last visit to the area in July. The options are fairly limited in the Schuylerville/Greenwich area. I had the Kua Mee with tofu & mushrooms. For $18, I was served a small amount of noodles in a watery sauce, albeit tasty, with a few little chunks of tofu & two mushroom pieces. My husband had the Fried Chicken Lao'which, which was also $18. The spicy soy glaze was an additional $2 for what amounted to about 2 tbsps. While my husband said the sandwich was quite tasty; it was NOT a $20 sandwich. Neither dish came with any type of side salad, fries or vegetable. I also had a Bettina, the Italian style pils. It was just an okay beer. The service was poor and for these prices I expect a better meal. Unlikely we will be back.

Evan and Max were fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Great varied beer selection and the Laotian menu was legit and unlike any brewery food experience anywhere else. And the building and location topped off a great experience.
