The new owners are amazing. They are not only the nicest, friendliest people in Schroon, they also have completely transformed this grand old store - its selection has been modernized, improved upon and expanded. My wife and I always make sure to visit every time we come up to our family lake house. We love the whiskey and wine glasses we got this weekend (and used 'em already, too)!

I love what the new owners have done with the space! I've been going to the Towne Store for decades, and it has always had a wide variety of items, from sweatshirts and pjs to toys, Minnetonka slippers, decorations, snacks and more. The store still offers all of the above and it is much more open and organized. It's a pleasure to browse and you can find things easily. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is a must stop for locals and visitors.

The Town Store is a nostalgic staple of Schroon Lake. The new owners have managed to retain that nostalgia, while offering merchandise that is appealing to today’s shoppers. Their selection of items spans camping to water sports, household to gifts, clothing to candy. The children’s section is well stocked with items that will spark imagination, develop skills, or be just plain fun! There is something for everyone at the Town Store! It’s a must visit place on your Schroon Lake vacation. If you’re lucky enough to be a local, it’s the place to shop for everything! Looking forward to seeing the store continue to grow and thrive!

Shopping at the Towne Store this summer has been an enjoyable experience. I love that Amanda, Ryan and staff have created a space easier to meander through, filled with meaningful and useful treasures. Stopped into The Towne Store for water shoes & I left wanting everything in that store. This was in July, and to this day in September, I still dream about their inventory. I had a short conversation with the store owner but it really stuck with me. That place is special!!

What an awesome place! There is just so much stuff! It's like they took 4 different typical gift shops and put them all into one! From knick-knacks to gifts to actually practical items for camping or for the house! First round in my wife spent over a hundred dollars.... I'll admit the quality of the items purchased is pretty good. So, I can't complain to much.If you're ever in the Schroon Lake area, I'd say this is a must stop shop! Just prepare yourself for for an hour or so trip to browse everything, including the basement!

I’ve always thought this store was so nice with so many interesting items and wanted to share it with my friends so we made the lengthy ride today. It was still so awesome BUT after our wonderful time was over and we were about to walk out the door a wonderful young cashier lady came along with my misplaced IPhone and explained to me how she had found it and had called my home number to try to kindly return it to me!! Thank you for going above and beyond!! I will remember how kind you were!!
