I’m not sure how to begin this other than to say five stars is nowhere near enough to accurately convey how kind and gracious the owners, Susan and Dan, were. I was stranded in the middle of 87 with a flat tire, and no family to call. Susan came to rescue the day with a last minute room and even offered to pick us up. The room we were given (for a VERY reasonable price, might I add) was gorgeous and pristine. The next day, Dan takes us to the local Tops to pick up some essentials we didn’t have.We came for the eclipse, but I truly believe that we were blessed with Susan and Dan. Thank you for everything.

Susan is an absolute GOD SEND. My partner and I had driven 4hours from our home to see the solar eclipse. Unfortunately, our car broke down and we were stranded. Since the eclipse was brining so many people into town, all the hotels were booked but Susan was kind enough to fit us in last minute. The rooms were so beautiful, spacious, comfortable and warm - especially during these cold months. You could see the stars simply by looking up, the area is gorgeous and lovely escape from the city. We will definitely be back and thank Susan and her husband for their extreme kindness and understanding

The Schroon Motel & Cabins is a diamond in the rough! It is easy to find off exit 27 of I-87. The rooms were very clean and the finishings looked recently updated. For a minimal additional charge, we were even able to bring our dog! ❤️ The view to the lake is beautiful from the cabins. The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even got a campfire going that we got to enjoy, too. The motel is directly across the street from Sticks & Stones restaurant, which we enjoyed as well.The owners have plans for the additional buildings on the property, and I will definitely enjoy coming back to see their progress.I would definitely recommend this motel to others in the future.Rooms: Very clean. Microwave, mini fridge, electric fireplace, AC, Smart TV, and 4c coffee maker all available.Nearby activities: Short drive (~5min) to public boat launch.Walkability: Walkable to waterfront and dock available. Also walkable to Sticks & Stones restaurant.

Susan helped me both prior to and during our stay. She was lovely and helpful. The room had two beds- one soft and one firm mattress- a great strategy for making sure customers can sleep comfortably! The room is decorated beautifully and well appointed. Docks and lake side are on site. Nice restaurant across the street.Safety: The area felt very safe, lights on continuously after dark.

We've stayed here on multiple occasions. The rooms are so spacious and very clean! It's a home away from home feel! The hosts are amazing, very outgoing, and have great communication. My family and I rented a cabin and a motel room and we are so happy we did. We had the best time on our vacation. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The location is perfect and the property has gorgeous water views. Though they do have some renovations going on, it did not impact our ability to have a great time. We highly recommend the Schroon Lake Motel and Cabins and look forward to visiting for many years to come!

We have used the Schroon Lake Motel and Cabins for the last two years to accommodate our youth leaders for Word of Life Summer Camp (4 to 5 rooms). The rooms are clean, comfortable, and up-to-date. Making reservations and check-in was very easy and our host were most attentive to our needs during our stay. This has become our first choice and go-to place to stay while in Schroon Lake.

Spent a weekend in the motels as a family get away. First we LOVED that we were able to bring our dog with us. The rooms are adorable and very clean. The location is great, just a few minute ride into town and directly across the street from a restaurant and ice-cream shop. The staff was super friendly and helpful with recommendations for things around the area! We also did some hiking, there are dozens of trails within 15-20 minutes.The property has a pretty small water access/ beach area but the town beach (which is dog friendly) is 2 minutes away! We will definitely be going back!! Overall a great experience and place!

What a great time. We felt so welcomed by the owners/staff from the moment we pulled into the driveway until our last night. We stayed for two weeks in one of the cabins. It was clean, bright and well furnished with everything we needed. I loved having my morning coffee while sitting at the kitchen and enjoying the wonderful view of the lake and mountains. If we get back to the area again we will certainly return to Schroon Lake Motel and cabins. I highly recommend paying them a visit.

Very friendly, accommodating staff with an emphasis on our comfort. I'm a stickler for a comfortable bed, great shower and air conditioning...they ticked all three boxes. The room was well appointed and met every comfort and convenience we needed; close to town and across the road is a popular restaurant with a great menu. We'll be back!

This is our second time staying here, and I would definitely recommend it! Rooms are large, shower is hot with good water pressure, and the beds are so comfortable. Coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave are in each room, along with a selection of teas, cocoa, coffee, and creamers. Owners are exceptionally nice and replied to emails super fast. And the room was clean and smelled amazing! There is also a restaurant conveniently located right across the street, although we got back too late from hiking to go there.

My family spent a week in one of the recently renovated cabins. The view was incredible. The cabin was immaculate and comfortable. Great restaurants are minutes away and we especially enjoyed the convenience of docking the fishing boat right on the property. The motel and cabins are owner operated and they take pride in their work. Can’t wait to return.

Wonderful stay. Ownership and employees super friendly and kind. Room clean and very spacious (esp for hiking gear) Reminded us of our studio apartment in NYC. Loved the kitchen nook with table and chairs. Great for breakfast & lunch. Water pressure in shower massage level and as hot as you want! Great after long day ADK hiking. Beds and pillow super comfortable. Will stay again 100%. Restaurant across the street as well.

Really enjoyed the stay at Schroon Lake Motel and Cabins. The cabin was clean and recently renovated. The screened in porch was great and the view of the lake and mountains was outstanding. The owner was friendly and available if we needed anything. There was a restaurant right across the street with good food. The town was close enough for the kids to ride their bikes and enjoy the public beach and basketball courts.

Can't say enough good things about Schroon Lake Motel & Cabins! We had our destination wedding here and were able to plan it all the way from Florida with the help of the Schroon Lake Motel & Cabins staff! They were so helpful with rooming for all of our vendors and guests, all of our wedding needs (tents, tables, chairs, and great wedding vendor recommendations) and met all of our needs. Our rooms were clean, quiet, and felt like home and allowed our group the whole place to ourselves for the wedding. There were numerous GORGEOUS places to take photos, and plenty of areas to hang out, have fires, and eat meals together. Our week at Schroon Lake for our wedding was a dream, thanks to Schroon Lake Motel and Cabins!!!

Another great stay… My family and I have been here twice now and we will be back! The rooms are clean, cozy and comfortable and the owner were so nice and accommodating, they really went out of their way to make us feel welcome! The location is excellent and we and I can’t wait to come back to see what spring and summer have to offer! I highly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed!

We had an awesome experience at schroon lake motel and cabins in July, 2022. We had everything we needed in the cabin. It was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to stay there again!!

My out of town guests were very comfortable there. Great location. I'm sure to book a room there next season when I have more guests than I can fit in my cabin.
