Rooms are nice. I was working close to the property and was very convenient. It is very quiet this time of the year being between seasons which was a plus . The owner and staff is what surpasses any other establishment I have ever been too. Lets say it is good to know that there are still good people in the world . If that is important to you this is the place to come. They helped me through a heck of a pickle in the middle of the night in a snow storm. I will definitely be returning in the summer . Our family and friends love the Maple Leaf! We’ve started the tradition of coming up with friends and kids every winter to ice fish and summer to cruise the beautiful lake on the boat.The Maple Leaf feels like home. It’s convenient to town, yet perfectly nestled right outside of the hustle and bustle to enjoy the sounds of Mother Nature. All of the rooms have been updated (take my word for it, we’ve stayed in many!) The owner is accommodating and the girl who turns over the rooms is so sweet. This place is a guarantee if you’re looking for a perfect Adirondack getaway. I highly recommend the TrailBreak restaurant (it’s a favorite of ours) along with several adorable shops and spots right in Main St in town. The Maple Leaf is an easy 2-3 minute drive to the closest grocery store and shops.Do yourself a favor and book your stay!

We booked a specific cabin that accomodated our group (3 adults, a baby, and a dog) seven months in advance. In between the booking and the date of our stay, we communicated over email 5 times and phone 2 times. This included the night before, when I talked with them to provide updated credit card so they could charge the full amount before our arrival. We called when we were an hour away to clarify check in time - only then did this business tell us that they had given our specifically reserved cabin to someone else, moved our group to a two bed room (for 3 unrelated adults... and a baby... and a dog) that didn't have a kitchen (we were bringing groceries) and acted like they had somehow done us a favor by making this adjustment. At no point in our 7+ communications did they tell us they had made this change. I understand that small business have unique circumstances but they gave me no ability to adjust my plans. Clarity is kindness. They should have reached out to me immediately when they gave my room away (seemingly weeks before we arrived) so at least I would have had the abiilty to book elsewhere. I am pleased that when we then cancelled, they refunded us fully. Extremely unprofessional and more importantly, unempathetic and unkind to people traveling with children. I would not trust this location if you are traveling from out of town - you may find yourself sleeping in your car.

This place saved me from having a rough night. I drove in the snow storm yesterday for 4 hours before my car had issues. I had to get this motel and fix my car the next day. The owner (Louie) was extremely thoughtful and caring. He even tried to help me figure out what was wrong with it and gave me the town mechanic’s number, gave me his personal cell and said if I need anything to call him and let him know what’s going on with the mechanic, gave me late checkout with no charge because of all the car trouble and offered to give me rides. If you want caring people and a good motel room come to Maple Leaf.Rooms: Bed was comfy and the room itself had a nice homey feel. Most of the rooms have smart tvs and the utilities work well for a motel.Food & drinks: Free little snacks and coffee maker with k cups and creamer

I have been coming to the maple leaf for years. It is a great motel centered in the middle of the adirondaks. Great staging area for hikes and climbs all over the ADK. There have been some great upgrades I have noticed over the past couple of years. Much better WiFi, better fridge, smart tv and always clean and spacious rooms. A great value!

Great hotel, great service. The extras like the coffee and breakfast food in the fridge were a nice extra which were unexpected!! The kitchen view was breathtaking!Only a few minor things to work on in the M2 suite. The bathroom window was broken and wouldn't close, as was a bathroom towel holder and the shower head that kept falling and bonking us the head. Lastly, I'm not sure if there's any natural way to do anything about the mosquitoes , but we spent the first night eradicating probably a dozen or more from the room. Other than that, the room and view were amazing and I loved it and will definitely stay again!

I don’t tend to have high expectations for motels, but this motel exceeded my expectations. The decor is cute and suiting for the area. The room was well organized and felt nice. Snacks and water are provided, just in case you arrive late, after any local food options close. The towels were great. They were soft, absorbent and actually wrap around your body, unlike most hotels nowadays. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. If I’m ever in the area again, I will stay here.One tip. I was there for two nights and my room wasn’t serviced in my time there. It wasn’t a problem for me, but it’s something to be aware of.

One of the cleanest places I’ve stayed. This place goes above and beyond, breakfast sandwiches in freezer, coffee, snacks for kids. Did I mention clean and well maintained!!! I would stay here again and again!! Great people to deal with too!!!Rooms: Clean, clean, clean!!!Nearby activities: Was here for the marathon and was right up the street from start.

Beautifully renovated under the new ownership.Only 3 minutes from the Adirondack North way make this place super convenient for all travelers.Easily the best motel and air BNB experience in Schroon Lake and the surrounding areas.The ability to self check in 24 hours a day with no human interaction is a convenience for everyone, worth checking out!

Had a great stay.. Bed super comfy.. Surprised amenities very thoughtful and appreciated . Nice porch to hang out and meet great neighbors !!Owners were super nice .. Tina even shared some local treats !! Would definitely stay again..Only negative pool wasn't open but beautiful free beach close by

I unfortunately has an issue with my car & was stranded on I 87 & was taken to this motel by the local Police. The second I walk into the Motel, I was greeted with kindness, Cassie was amazing & informative. The room was cute , clean and the grounds were nice as well, the lake was just about a 1/2hr walk. Also, a big shoutout to the maintenance guy Cliff, he was just as kind, like I said I was stranded and somehow convinced him to give me a ride to the local dealer where my car was towed to, (which wasn't around the corner) he waited until everything was ok. From the trooper to Cassie & Cliff, you truly made me believe that there are still good people left in this world. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you, I will forever remember your kindness.

I had to make an unplanned stop on the road due to weather, and I'm so glad I found this place. The staff was kind and helpful and check in was easy (thanks to the gas station letting us use their phone). The room was cute and comfortable with thoughtful amenities. It's clear the motel is cared for with a lot of love. If you're reading this looking for a place to stay, book here. I'm sure to remember it if I ever need to break up a long drive again, or am planning to visit the Adirondacks I'd be sure to include Schroon Lake in those plans.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Maple Leaf this past weekend. Place was super charming and the new owner has done an excellent job renovating the property. Our room in the main house was very large, comfy, clean and tastefully decorated. It even had the cutest retro appliances in kitchen! The staff was warm and extremely helpful and we even met the owner and his wife who were delightful and we could tell that the place was a labor of love. Motel was a nice exercise type of walk to the center of town and the gorgeous lake. Lots of nice shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Cute hidden gem in a picturesque town in the Adirondacks. We stayed in a very spacious and clean suite in the main house which had a living room area, large dining room, and also a separate bedroom. The price point was very good as well. We met the new owners who were very friendly and accommodating, and are putting their heart and soul into updating the motel. The location is great, in walking distance to a nice restaurant and a 5-minute ride to town. We loved it here and can't wait to visit again.

My family and I ended up at Maple Leaf when our car broke down on the way back home from Canada. We called last minute and luckily there was a room available and the tow truck dropped us off. It was cold and snowing that evening. The owner was aware of our situation and after his dinner he personally brought us take out. It was the best chicken take-out dinner we had. He knew we didn't have a car to get food and it was such a kind and generous gesture. This is hospitality and service at its best!! Thanks Lou for your hospitality. Will definitely come back and visit the area soon.

Recently stayed here with my girlfriend, as we love to go to new places and hike. Great weekend trip and the Maple Leaf was a great place to stay. It was close to a number of hiking spots. The room was very clean. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again. The pool was a great feature, as I used it after a hiking for a few hours.

We had a great stay here! The bungalow was perfect for our few days visiting the Adirondacks. The owner was nice and the housekeeping was good as well.This is not a 5 star chain hotel. It's rustic and on the older side. If you stayed in cabins before you will be fine with the bungalows.

Very charming and comfortable little cabin in a rustic setting. 20 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to fabulous Trail Bend restaurant. And Rick the host was most super accommodating. When my TV went out he reprogrammed it right away. And he was even so kind as to offer me a ride to the beach. Will definitely return next summer for 2 weeks

The place has seen some years. The beds looked to be some sort of 4-5 inch topper on a box spring. The heat is a radiator, do not adjust over 65° or you will be hot. The outside temp was 40-50° that night. Their is a kitchenette and some rough looking carpet. Only soap in the bathroom. The outside is well maintained.

The gentleman who checked me in is a true gentleman. Got me into my room early in the morning last minute and gave me a great room to boot. Could not ask for more. My room is clean !! And very comfortable. Also very quiet. I would definitely come back here and stay again.

Stayed there for three nights in February. Spacious room with king sized bed, mini refrig, microwave, coffeemaker, bathroom also was large. It was clean, very comfortable and warm. We will definitely stay there again when in Schroon Lake. Only thing I would like to see added to the bathroom is a shelf to place toiletries.
