I have been to this Motel a few times. The owner is very welcoming and makes you feel at home. She makes sure that you have everything to your liking. The breakfast in the morning is very good and Tammy is a baker herself. She makes the best muffins and scones. We look forward to them every time. If you are looking for a place to stay in that area then you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended and a 5 star experience every time.Nearby activities: Lots of hiking trails for ADK nearbyFood & drinks: Paradox brewery is right next door about a mile away for food and drinks

A hidden gem in the Adirondacks. Me and my wife stayed and LOVED the experience. Each room has its own theme linked to Adirondacks, Wildlife, ete....Ours was tied to the history of the old Frontier amusement park. A park I visited as a young and, and taking my kids to experience.Please, if your in the area and looking for a great experience and a place to stay. Try the Blue Ridge.

I've stayed at Blue Ridge Motel multiple times over the years and everything it has been excellent. Tammy is A++ service. Clean and tidy rooms. They are all themed which makes it fun. Anytime I'm in this direction I will make it a point to stay here and I suggest you do too.Rooms: Typical queen or full size beds. Refrigerator, microwave and own bathroom. All have different themes.Food & drinks: Great Brewery 1.5 miles away.

Honestly this is the coolest motel I've ever stayed in. Tammy is so welcoming. The Frontier Room was immaculately clean. Inside the room, you'll find details about the history of the motel as well as what inspired the room's decor. It's refreshing to stay in a place where someone has put this much effort into making you feel at home. I'd love to come back here with my whole family sometime!

In 2023, we returned to the Blue Ridge Motel after staying there in 2022. A smaller motel run by a great team headed up by Tammy. Greeted with smiles, the check-in process was super easy. Keyless entry with your own security code worked really well. The room was extremely clean and the toiletries were a nice addition.We stayed twice this year in Adirondack themed (different) rooms in the newer part of the motel. Again, so clean and a homey feel to the rooms.The Continental breakfast was yummy with home baked goods and the coffee was delicious! A nice place to converse with other guests as well.Thank you, Tammy and team and we look forward to staying with you again!Rooms: CLEAN! COMFORTABLE!Safety: Keyless entry. Felt very safe.Food & drinks: Home baked items, cereal. Great coffee. Selection of juice.Noteworthy details: Enjoyed the gift shop located in the lobby.

You definitely have to stay here if you have a chance!!Rooms were spotless. Smelled lovely. New paint and carpet. Loved the wooden rocking chair. The bed was very comfortable!Home made, fresh muffins and scones. (I'd return just for breakfast 😁)Tammy was an amazing host. Very kind and personable. Was lovely to chat with.There are 2 awesome brick fire pits with chairs around them . Many activities for kids and or adults.The blue ridge is a couple minutes off the interstate.Was so quiet, just absolutely loved staying there.Thanks blue ridge for an amazing stay

owner was not friendly or welcoming at all very rude and was not willing to help with any issues we experienced while there. she instantly came out to yell at us for our parking when all we were doing was looking for directions. proceeded to wait till we left while saying this is unbelievable. would not recommend and just unwelcoming in every way…

Exceptional experience at Blue Ridge Motel! Room was comfortable, very clean, as was the whole place. Each morning we had homemade muffins or scones, plus there were so many other options to choose from daily. Tammy and all her staff were super friendly and by the time we left after 5 days we knew we’d definitely come back again! Highly recommend this motel in the beautiful Schroon lake area .

I had my crew stay at the Blue Ridge Motel and they had a great experience. Tammy and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were always clean and well taken care of. The location is amazing of course with so many things to do just a short drive away. And I might add the gist store was top notch. I will be staying there in the near future for some of my time off and would recommend it to my friends and anyone who is looking for a great place to stay while in the Adirondacks!!

We planned an impromptu overnight to take advantage of nice weather to finally paddle nearby Boreas Ponds. This motel was perfectly located nearby for that so we hiked the day we arrived and paddled the next. We choose this motel due to great reviews. We stayed in the Loon room which is lovely, nice new wood smell, clean, comfortable- just what we needed. Breakfast was a bonus with good coffee and REAL maple syrup! The little gift store is super cute! We sat out after dinner and relaxed in the ADK chairs for a bit, surprisingly quiet road. Tammy is a delight and great hostess, fun to talk with and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will return!

A great motel, lots of value for the money. The location is beautiful and just a few miles from the town of Schroon Lake. The rooms were brand new, clean and had the standard amenities (with the exception of an ice machine) so be warned, bring your own ice. The complimentary breakfast was better than many pricier hotels I have stayed at. Very friendly staff.

awesome motel. owner Tammy is very nice and polite. clean updated rooms. very cozy, and peaceful. close to lake placid and Ticonderoga. right off the highway. very convenient reasonable rates. would recommend and would stay there again. Definitely will save this hotel next time we visit the area. free breakfast is very good too. thanks so much.

Quaint little motel with a lovely room and very helpful friendly staff. Rooms very clean and cute. Continentail Breakfast plentiful. Games on the lawn and fire pits. We had a nice stay, a very good find. A few miles down the road and brewery with nice food and views. Plenty of eating places in Shroon. Beautiful countryside and lakes...would definitely visit again if this way.

We were caught in a major snow storm with our dog and we called Blue Ridge for a room, the owner Tammy was incredibly kind and got us settled into her dog friendly room very quickly. The room was warm and comfortable and our dog loved it. So thankful there are still kind people left in the world, highly recommend staying here if you are in the area! Tammy also makes very delicious muffins for breakfast :)

We only stayed one night, but it was so clean, and Tammy was amazing. She packed us little breakfasts, and check-in was as easy as could be. We stayed in the Hoffman room and brought our dog. It is worth supporting smaller businesses instead of staying at a big chain place, especially when the facilities are as clean as Blue Ridge's are. It's also in a great location if you're hiking the high peaks. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for an Adironack getaway.

We Just got back from the Blue Ridge Motel and we absolutely loved it. Tammy, the owner, was wonderful. She gave us many recommendations on things to do in the area and was very accommodating. The motel rooms are nicely decorated and immaculate. The continental breakfast is great especially the freshly made blueberry scones. The location is perfect for visiting attractions like the Adirondack museum, Fort Ticonderoga & fishing. We would also like to give a shout out to Amanda and the rest of the staff. An absolutely wonderful team. We thoroughly enjoyed our little getaway to the Schroon Lake area. We will definitely be coming back next year!

What a transformation! We stayed here back in 2017 and said we would never return. But after learning the motel sold in 2019 and seeing all the new renovation photos on their website, we decided to give it another try. I’m so glad we did.The new owner cares greatly about the quality of your stay. We are avid hikers and she went out of her way, daily, to prepare a morning breakfast bag for us. We had apple juice, orange juice, fresh baked blueberry scones, granola bars, yogurt and bananas.We stayed in the bear room and it was great. It has two double beds and daily house keeping. We had fresh, plush, towels and wash cloths daily. This is huge!!! None of that thin, rough stuff that the other places have. The bathroom had ZERO mold. Nothing in the shower, shower curtain, sink, grout/caulk. No mold anywhere! The shower had great pressure with hot water and zero calcium build up in the shower head. The room had a large flat screen tv that was hung on the wall directly between the two beds. Also a huge plus, as I can’t tell you how many rooms we’ve stayed in and the TV is just shoved to one side of the room.Super fast Wi-Fi which is hard to come by anymore. A mini fridge that actually keeps your stuff cold and a small microwave. The beds are basically brand new. I actually thought mine was a memory foam one. Makes no noise when turning side to side and it’s very comfortable to sleep in.When we checked in, we received a bag of fresh made oatmeal cookies that were really good. There’s not much of anything that Tammy hasn’t thought of. I guess if there was anything at all to suggest… I would say that it would be nice to have boot trays in rooms so that when we get back from hiking, we don’t track mud and dirt all over the floors. We could just store them in the tray.I can honestly say that I understand why this motel is winning awards. It deserves each and every one! Before we left, we booked another stay. So if you’re on the fence about this one… give it a shot. You won’t be disappointed.

I’m giving this hotel a 5 stars since I had a really good experience while staying there and will recommend everyone to pay a visit to this hotel. The owner lady is really very nice and friendly she gave me 20$ off when I checked in. The room was also really decorative having such aesthetic vibes and clean with comfortable beds, the washroom was tiptop and fully cleaned with many towels and that small tiny shampoo love ‘em. In the morning, they served me a really amazing breakfast with the blueberry muffins. They even helped me in grabbing the food from nearby restaurant when I was really hungry and in need . The staff was so helpful and kind to the customers.Wish i can give more than 5 star but this is the limit.This hotel is the best solution for any person looking for an accommodation in that area and they provide all necessary stuff and really comfortable place to stay in.Thank you

We took a paddle trip to the Schroon Lake region. We chose the Blue Ridge Motel as our base. I can't say enough about this place. The renovated rooms are just lovely....beautiful wood walls, Adirondack decor. Clean and plenty of space, and a very good price. Our host Tammy was great, very interesting lady. She provides a nice breakfast and was fun to talk to, she is very knowledgeable about the area. I think the nicest place we have every stayed in in the Adirondacks, and super convenient to the town of Schroon Lake with some good restaurants.

My girlfriend, dog, and I got caught in a blizzard while traveling down I-87 and stayed the night here after a recommendation from another (non-pet friendly) lodging. The room was clean and beds were extremely comfortable, great for some refuge from the storm. The owner was extremely kind and ensured we were comfortable, even offering some snacks and home baked muffins after hearing we hadn't eaten since hitting the road 5 hours earlier. Once the storm had passed, the parking area was plowed and ready for us to get back on the road - an extra perk I cannot overstate after a blizzard in New York.Would absolutely stay here again.

What a diamond in the rough! We made reservations to stay here during Americade and don't regret it! Updated rooms, quiet surroundings, excellent service from the owner Tammy. She was super helpful! The rooms are very clean and updated. I wish the showers were bigger, but don't we all? I will definitely come back again. If you need a nice, quiet, clean place to stay, book a room now! You won't regret it!

This is clearly a 1950's property with reasonable pricing to match. But the rooms are updated, extremely clean, with really comfortable beds. There's a small refrig and microwave in each room. Their continental breakfast includes lots of choices of pastry's, cereal, fruit and various K cup coffees. The owner is very hospitable - ask her about her salt and pepper shakers collection! If the location of this motel works for you, then feel very comfortable making your reservation online, it's a pleasant place to stay!

Tammy, the owner, is really an angel in disguise. Our experience at the Blue Ridge Motel was a gift from God, Who put us in the right place at our time of need during a recent snow storm in December 2022. From the get-go it was obvious to us that Tammy, her husband, and staff put people first. We felt as if we were with a friend that we had known forever. They all went above and beyond helping us and others that came in that day seeking “refuge” from the storm.The place was immaculate and comfortable. Our room was decorated to pay homage to the Frontier Town Theme Park which was in the past located near the motel.We really hope we have an opportunity to return to Blue Ridge Motel someday again and enjoy the surroundings and become acquainted with the beauty of the Adirondack Mountains when not covered in snow😉Thanks, Tammy.

A great stay this past weekend. I was in town for Word of Life Snowcamp and was unable to get lodging at the camp. The Blue Ridge Motel was a perfect option and one I will definitely use in the future when I'm in need of lodging in the area. Great customer service. The owner is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. The breakfast was fine (nothing fancy). The best part of the stay was the community feel to the place. It was cool to talk to families heading out hiking or snowmobiling.

Excellent location between Schroon Lake and North Hudson / Paradox Brewery. Clean rooms, nice beds. Generally great for the price point. Continental breakfast is better than at most "nicer" hotels. The very friendly owner, Tammy, packed up breakfast for us the night before because we would be leaving early. Highly recommended for a cheaper motel.
