3/17/24 Sun.My husband & I checked out their web site before going to their Cafe, the menu given on their web site was not updated to their current menu & what their NEW charges were! They also do their receipts the "Old Fashion" way, written by hand & without itemizing what cost what!?? Its VERY Confusing!! And as much as I tried to figure out the receipt taking me almost a 1/2 hr. doing so! I then still had to have the waitress explain how she figured everything out, as our total for just 2 people was $42.96!! This just seemed WAY TOO MUCH! I understand food prices have gone up a lot since the past 2-3 yrs. but we assumed their web site Menu was the same still & went by their "old" prices apparently! They should have shown the NEW menu prices on their web site! They ALSO decided to tell me after words when I was trying to pay my bill, that they except CASH ONLY!!?? I was shocked! I said what!?? The waitress said its on our front door. I went over to their front door & looked at it & it's just under their scheduled hours written in the same exact coloring & same size lettering!?? That is also the ONLY place they chose to post it! It should be posted on their Menu's & other placed within the Cafe & should certainly be put on their web site too! When we arrived to eat, a gentleman was just in front of us as we were entering & he was nice enough to open the door for us & let us go in first! SO WE NEVER GOT THE CHANCE TO EVEN SEE THE SIGN ON THE FRONT DOOR INFORMING US OF THE CASH ONLY! This is simply NOT a realistic way of running a business anyway! NOT everyone carries cash on them or may not even carry an ATM card with them all the time. The waitress said we have an ATM machine just around the corner. Well using an ATM machine other than your banks usually costs you an extra $5.00 more as an extra fee charge! WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXPECTED TO PAY A PENALTY FEE OF $5.00 SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T HAVE CASH ON YOU!? We were completely new to this place & had never eaten there before, so had NO idea this was how they ran their business! We will NEVER EAT THEIR AGAIN!! What a horrible experience!

We LOVE coming here!!Every time We are here in Schoharie for Breakfast, we are HERE for Breakfast!!My Husband and I love coming to this warm, inviting diner! The way they serve and talk to you feels like Home!The food is Always SOO TASTY!They recently upgraded their drinking Glasses, and now they look so much better and more official!The Server, whom is the Owners Daughter, is always so genuine, kind and warm. She always is super fast and knows how to strike up a good conversation while taking your order. Overall, really nice and sweet atmosphere.The guy who seats you and brings you drinks and silverware works really hard. My Husband and I agree he’s the most Gentlemanly person we have met in a long time… Keep doing what you’re doing dude!Spoke to the owner this time and informed her what a great establishment she has! She too, was extremely friendly and happy.The food is always warm and fresh, and this time they had more options. I decided to get the Pumpkin Cheesecake. (Which is amazing because we went on February 24th, and they still had it)They never let you down on the food, and they’re always around to make sure you are filled up on Coffee and that you’re satisfied.And… it’s Fairly priced for the Value you get!We ALWAYS leave with a Box, and a Smile on our Faces!—————————————————————————My Recommendations:•Try the Pumpkin Cheesecake if you like Pumpkin and they Have it!•THEY DO NOT TAKE CARD, SO MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE CASH!Pros:•They don’t take Cards•Amazing, Tasteful Diner Food with Decent Prices•Generous and Thoughtful Staff•”Homey” Diner Atmosphere- PleasurableCons:•None!Thanks Your Way! I had breakfast. The pancakes were huge, the sausage patties were large and tasty, and my coffee was frequently refilled. The place was filled to capacity when I arrived, but I was able to get a booth after a short wait. The service was friendly and my order was served by the cook himself. The menu is a little limited and (on Sunday, at least) they are only open until 2:00 PM. Schoharie is a cute little town and the Old Stone Fort Museum is well worth a visit.

Very cute little space, seemed polite, food was okay. My eggs were cooked perfectly, but my corn beef hash was half crispy and half mush. My mother's dish was a smaller portion than expected, but the staff took care of it unprompted. Very accommodating.

We were passing through and saw this on Google maps. I’m so glad we stopped in. We both had 2 eggs, hash browns, sausage patties and toast. Everything from the coffee to the last bite of our order was perfectly cooked and delicious. Plus, our server was nice and friendly. She had a great smile and made us feel welcome.

Stopped in before a paranormal investigation right down the road.I was amazed how good the food was.Service was excellent. Old fasion dinerI loved it. If you are in the area and want a bite too eat. Your Way Cafe is the place.

My boyfriend and I love this little place. We are always greeted with smiling and happy staff. The establishment is clean, waiters are attentive, and the food is great and affordable. I highly recommend this cafe over the Cobleskill Diner.

Hey if you like good prices and good food and good down home people this is the place for you. Update: My second visit was totally a shock and eye opener small-town racism. My friend and i stop in for breakfast, the tables were a little less than half full. the lady came and gave us menu's and we order hot tea. about 20 minutes later another lady came by and ask if we wanted more coffee. she didn't know we were drinking tea. ops, lol but we did tell the second lady we were ready to order. she said she would tell our waitress. anyway, at this time 5 others tables filled up. our waitress started to take their orders. then she walk by us and my friend tried to get her attention as she walked by (He raised his hand and said excuse me miss) but she ignored us and started to finish taking the other orders. I am starting to think she did this on purpose because my friend is Pakistani and today being 911. After a good 45-minute wait or more i drop a $5 bill on the table (which left $1.60 tip) and we went to the Country Cafe on main street and got waited on quickly and had a great breakfast. also the Country Cafe prices are lower and the food was awesome. But most importantly the waitress and other employees were very friendly. There was no racism there. I get no pleasure out of giving a bad reviews. 2 waitresses, tried to order twice, 5 other tables getting waited on and still nobody came to take ours.

This is a great little booth and table cafe where the food is served hot in a timely manner. The menu is a nice variety of your typical American style home cooking. They will make your order to your liking holding or adding what you wish. The wait staff are good providing the attentive service you don't often get anymore. And all this at an affordable and fair price.

Know before you go: cash only, atm at banknext door or at the gas station up the streetPrice point: amazing value at a very low costI grew up in Schenevus so know the area since my dad lives here but have been away in Denver for a while. I came back for a family wedding and stopped in to try this place as I was familiar with the former diner that was here. I’m going to be honest but only out of love for the town. The food is great and lives up to what you want in a diner. I got the waffle and it was perfectly crispy, a lot of breakfast spots don’t get that crisp right so I was impressed. The thing for improvement though is the atmosphere. It’s half Christmas decor and half vintage signs (I visited in august). I have nothing against Christmas but there is no cohesive theme here and I think it does make it confusing, especially if you want to attract out of towners (which you should because that’s business too). There is no background music, lack of color, and overall it’s just a depressing vibe. The waitress was superb, kind, and quick but looked overworked/tired. I understand the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” mentality and that does apply here (this place would be fine as is) but I also value consistent improvement and growth. I suggest picking one theme for the place, sticking with it, and adding some background music and color life to give the place some life. It’s not costly and I think could greatly improve the energy of the space and employee morale. Just a friendly suggestion from someone who loves the area and wants local businesses and employees to thrive. It is the only spot in town for traditional diner vibe so why not make it outstanding?

Came for breakfast a few times. Every time we have come in our food is over cooked. Burnt bacon, crispy pancakes, dry eggs. I also wish they carried syrup that wasn’t in packaging. This all being said, the service is great and the price is right. We’ll try back for lunch or dinner.

The waitress was nice and the food came quickly. Overall, the food was decent, but my bacon was inedibly hard. I find it hard to believe that they have no flavored creamers for coffee either. A diner should definitely have more options for coffee. I would still recommend it if you're looking for a local place to get a bite, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Very friendly, warm place for lunch. Our family loved it. Great options for the kids!Vegetarian options: The vegan options that I found were pasta and sauce and French fries. I was happy to find those!

I was planning a trip to the area and looking for a place to eat, I had read the reviews and they were all good, well I have to say that it lived up to those reviews. What a great little place!! Wonderful food, great atmosphere, staff the whole thing!! If you are looking for good food and a good place to eat it this is the place to go.

A nice quiet place we stopped in from out of town. Friendly quick service. Had the fish & chips which was fresh as well as A an omelet that was enough to fill one person for a day. Clean eating area and would go again if in the area.
