To start, describing the pure magic of the Maples Estate is a tough task. But, if you're on the hunt for a weekend wedding venue with top-notch coordination services, and the creativity to do it your way, the Maples Estate should be at the top of your list. Our wedding day was amazing and Katie's support right from the start, along with all those extra coordination services (you should do it), made it all come together seamlessly. The best part was that after all of the planning, we got to sit back and enjoy our wedding day which we would not have been able to do without Katie. Katie's has a wealth of experience that meant she could help us shape creative ideas we hadn't even thought of, turning our dream wedding into reality.On top of that, Katie and Louis maintain a gorgeous farmhouse and property that gives you a wedding weekend like no other. And those little touches and details they sprinkle around? They make the whole weekend feel like a comfy, dreamy backdrop for photos, and you'll feel like the star in your very own story. Our friends and family are still talking about the unforgettable time we had. One of the highlights for us was the day after the wedding, where we just hung out by their pool and had a sleepover (check out the bunkroom on their website!) with a small group of loved ones.Honestly, saying goodbye to our time with Katie and our wedding at the Maples Estate was a bit sad. She and Louis make the Maples Estate what it is helped us put together an event that was so special to us – the best party of our lives. So, in short, picking this venue will leave you absolutely thrilled.

The Maples Estate was the perfect venue to host our non-traditional wedding. In fact, it was the only one we found! Katie and Louis were incredibly gracious and accommodating hosts. They not only agreed to our wedding ideas (which included laser tag among other things) but they were excited about it too. Working with TME was super easy and Katie was incredibly organized, detail oriented, and responsive the whole way. There were many details that we hadn't thought about that Katie had suggestions for, all of which helped to add to our special day. All of our guests were extremely complimentary about the venue, and the property was beautiful. Guests enjoyed staying at the house, and we loved the renovated kitchen complete with 3 full-size ovens and commercial sized sink (my wife adored this). It made it super easy to host for our house guests and provide a great atmosphere to relax and have fun. They were also dog friendly which was hugely important to us, and made the day that much more memorable to be able to include our dogs. We would confidently recommend Katie and Louis to anyone!

If we could leave more than 5 stars, we would. Katie and Louis are absolutely incredible at what they do! From the moment you book, you’ll have plenty of guidance in planning your wedding weekend. Katie helps you think of all the things needed to have the most beautiful and fun wedding. As soon as you arrive on the property, you get a sense of the commitment the team puts in for your wedding. They don’t just feel like vendors/coordinators, they feel like family members looking out for you through the weekend. Katie was on top of everything throughout the weekend and helped us have one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. We can’t be more grateful! Also, of course, the property is absolutely beautiful. We’ve only seen the sneak peak photos so far and they’re stunning!

The Maples Estate was absolutely our dream venue. From our first video call, we knew we had found our place. The fields with the mountain views, the wildflowers, the gorgeous house. All of it was perfection. When our wedding weekend finally came and we saw it in person, it surpassed even our greatest expectations.Katie checked in with us at different points throughout our wedding planning process, and was always super thorough with coordination and details. As wedding photographers ourselves, we’ve worked with many planners, but Katie really blew us away! Speaking of photography, this place is seriously a photographers dream (SO many different gorgeous spots).Katie and Louis were always available throughout our full weekend, often handling things that we didnt even realize (major shoutout for tucking away our card box when we were partied out at the end of the night haha). It was so important for us to work with someone who truly cared about our day, and that’s absolutely what we found.If you want your wedding to feel like a home away from home, but also the best weekend of your life? Have your wedding at The Maples Estate. Seriously. I think we’re going to have to stay again for a weekend some day in the future :)

I had the chance to work at The Maples Estate this past weekend for the most beautiful wedding I ever seen. I was the the DJ/MC for Jason + Jenna's wedding and the entire team of vendors were fantastic to work with. Katie was on top of everything and super easy to work with. She made sure everything was perfect so I could do my best work in providing the soundtrack for the day. From our pre event emails to our last conversation on the property that night, it was truly a wonderful experience and I cant wait to refer our DJ Romantics Wedding + Event Group couples to this AMAZING venue.I can not express enough how fantastic Katie is. I have worked with several dozen, possibly a hundred wedding planners and she is truly way above par in the industry. She could plan the presidents wedding and make it look easy. You would be lucky to have her play such an instrumental role in your special day. If you're looking for a sign to book this venue.... this is your sign. This place goes above and beyond.The fact that its a weekend experience means you truly get SO much more attention than you would at almost any other venue. We cannot recommend this venue enough. The property is beautiful, the house was lovely and cozy, and all our guests had a wonderful time. Katie and Louis were MAGIC, and swooped in to the rescue each and every time we began to get stressed. Katie and Louis were responsive, helpful with their suggestions, and provided seamless day-of coordination so that the entire weekend went off without a hitch. So many of our family members suggested going back to the Maples for a family reunion because they loved the property so much. Do yourself a favor and get married here!

I could write pages about my overwhelmingly wonderful experience at The Maples Estate. My husband and I had a perfect wedding weekend (9/16/2023). Katie and Louis are an outstanding team who took care of every detail with care, enthusiasm and expertise. Katie was always ten steps ahead and knew exactly what I had envisioned for the reception and ceremony spaces. I was able to take a step back and relax knowing with full confidence that my wedding would be beautiful - and it was! Even before the big wedding weekend Katie was behind the scenes keeping everything perfectly organized with detailed excel timelines, blueprints and email communications with vendors. I wouldn't trade our experience at The Maples Estate for anything. If I could go back and live it all again I would! The Maples Estate really is/was a dream come true.

Katie, one of the proprietors of the Maples, is always incredibly organized, considerate, and attentive in all aspects of events from preparation and planning, to day-of operations, to post-event follow-ups. I always feel like a partner in a team in any event that I'm involved in at the Maples Estate. There are beautiful, unique spaces across the entire property that make for incredible photos and video. We will definitely be back.

I wish I could encapsulate everything that I love about the Maples Estate and working with Katie and Louis into one paragraph, but I'll try my best! My husband and I got married here and couldn't have been more pleased and grateful for the experience. We booked additional wedding coordination / design services with Katie and are soooo relieved that we did. She helped us throughout the entire process, had all of the answers, and was a constant source of support. My husband and I loved the idea of getting married somewhere that had an estate on the property so that some of our loved ones can stay with us and turn it into a long weekend of fun. We toured a handful of places that catered to this idea but Maples stood out from everything we saw for several reasons: Katie and Louis are on the property and are always a text away if needed, the house has the most amazing 1850's charm with all of the modern fixes needed to be comfortable, the amount of land to explore is wild, and Katie's background in event planning. It's hard to explain how my husband and I felt so at home and comforted when we had an initial tour, but we felt it in our gut and knew that we made the right call! Thank you to Katie and Louis for the valuable work that you do for your couples, we can't thank you enough!

If you’re even considering, debating, have an inkling, or even the smallest idea of having your wedding at The Maples Estate with Katie and Louis…DO IT.Round up your friends, college roommates, family, up to 15 of your favorite people, and put them in this house for your wedding. Make dinner together. Go sit by the pool. Throw a party on the grand veranda.The extra time you get to spend with those people around one of the biggest days of your life — it will be priceless.The house itself is beautiful and spacious. No one feels like they’re crawling on top of each other. There’s plenty of room for games, cooking, enjoying a meal, reading a book, and also space for organizing flowers, gifts, signs, and other wedding must-haves.Katie was involved in our wedding coordination, and worked with our band, caterer, photographer and glam squad. Every time I had a question for any one of our vendors…it was already answered, thanks to Katie. The level of time, thought and organization put into everything made wedding planning so easy.There’s space to actually get ready: the prep room is beautiful. The main bedroom has a balcony — both made for truly gorgeous photos.The tree grove where we held our ceremony was breathtaking. It was lightly drizzling. We didn’t care. There were backup options, and Katie gave us quite a few ideas, but luckily, the rain mostly held off, and everything went off smoothly. Katie’s flexibility and calm is contagious.We were lucky: we were the first to use the brand-new reception pavilion, and it was stunning. Those views. Our band fit right in, the bar was never crowded, everybody danced until we couldn’t any longer. The space was perfect. Katie’s creative eye for flowers and place settings was unreal.We ended our night with a bonfire that Louis and Katie built for us. Being able to have that time with the guests in the house was so important to us. Relaxing around the fire was so calming after a long day.We also hosted doughnuts/coffee the following morning for outgoing friends and family members. Our guests are continuing to comment about how special of a place The Maples Estate is.The thing is: I don’t know that Katie and Louis understand what they have built. From the second you meet them, you know they have your back, start-to-finish. The minute you and your houseguests arrive, you know how special that place is and can be. The love that existed in that house for our six-day stay was tremendous. I wouldn’t have had it any other way.So in short, TL;DR: 

House: Amazing
Wedding Coordination: ImpeccableCeremony Site + Tree Grove + Event Pavilion: GorgeousKatie and Louis: Two of the kindest people you could ever hope to meet.Would give more than five stars if I could.

Posting on behalf of my event and rental company Love and a Truck Collective. We've worked with The Maples Estate a few times now on styled shoots, and can honestly say its one of our favorite upstate venues for a few reasons! The energy and setting are the perfect combination of relaxed elegance. From the Main House to the grounds, and barn everything feels easy in a way, almost as if you've known the site forever. The blend of old world architecture, vintage touches, and modern amenities is beautiful. Katie, the owner is great to work with, and has a great design eye and is very organized. If you're looking for a wedding venue, event space, retreat, don't sleep on The Maples Estate.

The Maples Estate was my dream wedding venue. Their package comes with an entire weekend on the property which allows for a much more memorable wedding. Our entire wedding party was able to stay with us on the property. The house is beautifully decorated and so spacious. The grounds are a blank canvas for each bride to have their own unique and custom wedding day. The day of my wedding I was able to watch the breathtaking sunrise over the Maples Estate. All that being said, the best part about booking the Maples Estate is Katie. I can't imagine planning my wedding without her. She was always available to answer any questions that we had. She helped keep us on track in terms of our timeline and wedding details. Her calm presence and knowledge of the wedding industry helped take away the stress of planning a wedding. I would recommend the Maples Estate to any bride, but if you are looking to have a wedding that is unique to you and your partner at a beautiful outdoor venue, you need to book the Maples Estate immediately!

The Maple Estate is such a lovely wedding venue in many ways. I'm all about the 3 day full weekend extravaganza. The house on the property is absolutely lovely with antique and vintage trinkets in every corner. The property is even better, complete with a pool, rolling greens, and even a cute little 'beach'. Katie and Louis are genuinely some of the nicest people I have ever met, who truly care about making your special day special to you. I recommend couples constantly to check out this little gem tucked upstate.

Katie and her husband Louis are fantastic hosts and were there for everything we needed. This is a magical wedding destination and their calm efficient approach to everything was just what was needed. To be able to stay there for the weekend was a fantastic opportunity for friends and family to unwind and enjoy each other's company. You gotta get married here! Working with Katie, who owns the venue, made wedding planning so enjoyable. She is calm, knowledgable, and such a joy to work with. We added the wedding coach package which was 100% worth it. Katie kept us track, helped us with the timeline, and took care of the venue coordination leading up to the wedding.The property is gorgeous, tucked behind the Catskills, it is a dreamy updated farmhouse with gorgeous interior details perfect for pictures. There are rooms upstairs so our wedding party stayed in the house which was so fun and made getting ready a breeze.The ability to have an entire wedding weekend at one venue was incredible, it lowered the stress level because everything was happening in one place, and you can really use the 12 acre property to your advantage. We were surrounded by greenery with views of the mountains and everything was smooth thanks to Katie and her amazing team. I wish I could get married here again, thats how great it was!

Dan and I could not have been happier with the maples estate as location and Katie as our event planner for our wedding earlier this summer -- the fact that everything came together so beautifully was really a miracle for us!This was not an easy project for a number of reasons. We have been together for 15 years, but decided in June that we wanted to have our wedding celebration asap as some family members' health was not great. We knew we wanted to have an outdoor wedding and reception so we had about 3 months to get everything set by end of August to make that practical. Finally, while our families are on the east coast, Dan and I live in Seattle so we'd have to coordinate everything remotely.The Maples Estate was exactly what we were looking for in a venue. Katie gave us a complete tour of the house and the property on her phone so we felt confident there were plenty of rooms for our guests to stay on site comfortably for the weekend. The farmhouse is cozy and quirky with great wooden bannisters, hard wood floors and a generous porch where we had our rehearsal dinner. It doesn't feel like a 'venue' -- it feels like a place where a family would live which was perfect for the small intimate wedding we were planning. At the same time the kitchen and bathrooms have fully updated appliances so we had everything we needed to be comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and my niece and nephew (7 and 4yrs) had a great time running through fields with their cousins and swimming in the pool. We chose a grassy spot by the pond with a view of the willow tree for our ceremony and a nearby grove of trees for our outdoor reception.Because our wedding was always intended to be small (25 people) we didn't want a formal sit down dinner for our reception. We wanted it to be more like a romantic bohemian outdoor dinner party where people could eat, mingle and enjoy the summer evening. We love travelling and we wanted our memories of adventures we'd had together to come through in the feel of our reception. Katie helped us create exactly what we wanted, found great vendors for everything and kept everything organized (conference calls almost weekly, lots of email communication, notes and checklists). We rented vintage furniture and had a few lounge areas arranged outside among the trees strung with lights, flowers and flickering candles on coffee tables. We had a mobile bar (like a food truck but for booze) set up to make tropical drinks and delicious Mexican themed grazing table and taco bar. In lieu of a guest book we printed postcards using photos from our travels and had a table arranged with memorabilia from some of our trips, postcards and pens for people to write notes. Best of all, we had a live swing band (Hot Club Saratoga) playing music under the trees and we danced on the grass while the sun went down. Finally, to capture the feeling of the night, we had an artist painting live and photographer roaming and snapping candids while kids climbed in trees and we ate and drank the night away.There are many, many more details that made the whole weekend special I can't possibly list them all and there is simply no way we could have organized anything remotely as wonderful without Katie's expertise. We were extremely happy to be able to host our friends and family in such a beautiful place and to be able to put on a celebration that was uniquely ours!Highly recommend.

The location is superb, a sprawling hillside filled with colors and bordering the Schoharie creek. The facility is a charming Victorian era house that is cozy and comfortable. The owners went well beyond traditional sites, catering to our every request. Katie, the owner, was calm, kind and eager to make your event special. We recommend them highly.

When you step onto the grounds of the Maples Estate, you immediately a comfortable sense of home. Katie and Louis instantly felt like family, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a special day.They were super accommodating and caring when the pandemic arrived. It was clear that their motivations were always out of true concern, rather than business. Staying in touch and aware of the state regulations, as well as our comfort level really eased our minds. We opted to have a micro-ceremony, with ten of our family members present (masked-up & outdoors!). The house (and the expert renovations applied to it) is so charming and beautiful, overflowing with details from the wallpaper to the bannisters and everything in between.We opted to do a first look before the ceremony, and we’re so glad that we did. We were able to calm any nerves and focus on each other. The parlor room provided wonderful backdrops to our photos, and though the rooms are so elegant and beautifully dressed-they still feel likehome.The grounds are sprawling, and offer so much room for couples to customize their wedding. We got married in the “tree grove” area, and the trees provided a picturesque setting and natural altar of sorts. We opted to bring our rugs from home to create an aisle runner.Our guests were adequately spaced out, and they were comfortable on the Estates' vintage school chairs. We walked down the aisle, exchanged our hand-written vows, and were so grateful to be able toshare that intimate moment with our closest family members. We took some portraits together on the picturesque Schoharie Creek, at the pond on the grounds, and all across the property.While we were busy with our nuptuals, Katie and Louis were hard at work to ensure that everything was ready for our micro-reception. They put so much effort and thought into ensuring our day was so special. Their coordination and attentive timeline really enabled us to focus on savoring the moment. Katie and Louis took the lead in setting up our coffee, tea, and champagne (while maintaining Covid safety protocols!) The bar room where we had our mini-reception was so cozy and we can’t wait to spend more time in it! The elegant long table on the porch provided ample opportunity to maintain social distance between households, something that was critical for us. They have such an eye for design, and every detail has been thought of! The porch table setting was stunning, the dried flowers present from a photoshoot were beautiful, as well as the candles.Despite the unprecedented nature of the event, all of our guests reassured us that this was one of the most beautiful weddings they’ve attended. There’s no doubt in our mind that the beautiful setting & attentive hosts are what left them with that impression.After our guests left, Katie and Louis set up a beautiful firepit for the two of us. We were able to connect with each other and reflect on what a spectacular day we had. Katie and Louis handled the breakdown and clean-up of everything, and told us to come by tomorrow to pick up our supplies. We cannot emphasize enough just how special this place is. We’ve booked it for a wedding weekend later this year (for a larger event), and are truly looking forward to making it our home once again.
