Schenectady Trading Company is a must visit place when in Schenectady! The store carries a wide variety of locally made craft and food items that are beautiful and delicious! The store is organized in such a lovely, aesthetic way and the owner is extremely helpful and thoughtful. It's an amazing way to support local crafters and businesses!

I enjoy this little shop with a little bit of everything for everyone. I enjoy getting local products and some organic local produce too. The owner is very hospitable and gets to know her customers. I definitely like the prices are pretty fair and you get quality. I enjoy coming here at least once a month for different things. Last time I was there I got purple peppers which were very nice. Definitely a place to check out if you live or are visiting Schenectady.

Impressed by this store. The owner is extremely helpful and there are a lot quality items. So glad we have this wonderful store on lower Union Street. Its a great place to stop in and shop. Plus they have a great way to order items online. I bought a flag and had it shipped to me in Seattle. It literally arrived in 3-4 days. I was extremely surprised how quick it got to me. Thank you Schenectady Trading Company! Can’t wait to order again!

The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about local attractions and has great recommendations for travelers. My first visit here and I am in love. Some great items and.... A bunch of kitty gifts. Most places only gave dog related items. I also purchased a bunch of greeting cards that are amazingly different!!

If you live nearby, and regularly drive the to suburbs for your groceries, think again and try this place. Do it for yourself! Unlike what you might expect, it's not merely an outlet for well-meaning do-gooders who want to support local business as an act of charity. I discovered this out of necessity under COVID conditions. I hate going into grocery stores with a mask, and (living in the Stockade), I enjoy having a place for basic supplies that I can WALK to. It's super easy to order groceries from here online. They leave it on the porch and you pick it up. It's as sterile as you can get while still shopping. Milk, sour cream, eggs, great sausages of several kinds, ground beef, local vegetables fresh or frozen, pastas, sauces, cheeses, even fresh mushrooms and locally grown greenhouse lettuce. Seriously, check out their grocery lists and buy whatever you can from here instead of the chain grocery stores. The prices are reasonable, and you're supporting a whole network of local producers. The more people discover this place, the better stocked it will be, with a greater variety of foods, so spread the word.
