What a superb place to have a meal! My wife and I are both vegan, and we love finding plant-based cafes to enjoy some tasty food. Take Two Cafe was awesome.Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. It’s a small place, and all the tables were taken. No biggie, the person who warmly greeted us and took our order assured us that a table was opening up soon.We ordered tea and coffee (both tasty), and had some food. Bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, Mac Wrap, and a Curry Chicpea wrap. Waited a few minutes, and sure enough, a table opened up. Sat a few more minutes sipping coffee, and our food was delivered to our table.Remember: all vegan. The bacon egg and cheese bagel was scrumptious. The Mac Wrap was perfect; BBQ seitan, Mac and cheese, slaw, and tastiness was all wrapped up together. Served with chips and a pickle. Soooo good.My wife had the curry chickpea wrap and said it was amazing. It was served with a side of potato salad. She loved it.We sat and chatted over our meal, and the server checked in on us once. Perfect.After our lunch, we picked up some desserts to bring home. It. Was. All. Amazing.All told, lunch was $50.00 for three plates and two hot bevvies. Add another $17 for the desserts at the end. We left super happy, satisfied, and talking about how we can’t wait to come back.EVEN IF YOU ARE AN OMNIVORE, you owe it to yourself to come and try this cafe. It’s awesome with a super chill vibe and delicious food!

My wife is vegan, so it's difficult when traveling to find a place where she can actually have a whole menu to choose from.Found Take Two while traveling back to Connecticut from our long weekend.Easy to get to off the highway, parking wasn't bad, but it is a SundayCould be difficult during the week.Food was very good and the staff was really friendly.They have indoor and outdoor seating.Not a lot of tablesMy only recommendation would be to have a restroom for customers and more outside seating.Seems like a nice downtown area.Vegetarian options: The whole menu is 100% veganDietary restrictions: There are plenty of optionsParking: On the street, we didn't have an issue finding parking but it was a SundayKid-friendliness: We got there 20 minutes before they closed and had no problems getting food orderedWheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp

Delicious vegan food, the first time we came we didn’t realize it was vegan! Everything tastes great, our favorite is the Reuben and kids love the Mac and cheese, vegan versions of course. It’s a bit of a wait but the dining room is cute and sunny, a pleasant place to hang out. The lemonade is also delicious.Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan!Kid-friendliness: Kids enjoy the food here

Absolutely awesome. I'm vegetarian, not vegan, but it was amazing to have a place where every sandwich on the menu was friendly to my diet. My boyfriend who doesn't follow any special diets said the potato salad was better than real potato salad with dairy and eggs. High praise, and I agree.The Oreo bar was absolutely stellar also, I'd eat here every week if I could.Vegetarian options: Vegan friendly

we came in for a late lunch today and it was soooo good. the staff was so friendly, and helped guide me through the different items and ingredients (i’m new to the vegan food scene!). we sat in a little nook next to the kitchen. the atmosphere was so cute, i loved the plants and wall art. the food was delicious! we had the buffalo crane, the mushroom melt burger, mac and cheese, and the cookie dough bar. everything was just SO good. & you would never even know it’s 100% vegan! all in all it was such a great experience, i’m so happy we stopped in today and we will definitely be back! thank you, Take Two for a great lunch. :)p.s. i could eat my weight in those cookie dough bars. yuuuuuum.

I am vegan, and I grew up in Schenectady; so when I am home I try to stop by or order something here.The food is decent. Nothing creative, complicated nor inspired, but decent simple vegan fare done fresh and cleanly.It is a lunch spot that closes at 4.I just came from there, and the woman working the counter told me the kitchen was closed, because they close at 4.I left, went to my car, drive 5 minutes -- then looked at the clock to see if was then 3:48... I ordered a Reuben sandwich... Either your open to serve until 4... Or you're open til 3:30 and your staff works until 4... But if that is the case -- don't say you are open until 4.I am disappointed. I was looking forward to that Reuben on my whole ride from Massachusetts

My experience here was great! The staff was pleasant and kind. This is an all vegan cafe serving small bites. They have bakery items, and they have a light lunch menu if you need to refuel yourself for the afternoon. I tried the jerk chicken wrap, and it was good, only thing I would've wanted more of was dressing or a sauce on my wrap. My favorite part was the matcha lemonade, I'm obsessed! I highly recommend this place, give it a try!

Me and my daughter favorite vegan restaurant since they first open, customer service is excellent. Always treat us like family. I recommend this place to all the vegans and even non-vegan. Best restaurant in Schenectady NY.Vegetarian options: All vegan.

This cafe is my favorite place for vegan food in the entire area, the food can only be described as scrumptious and the desserts are delicious as well as irresistible. The staff is always so welcoming and sweet, I couldn't really ask for more from a place! My meal recommendation is the classic burger, pictured in this review.

Never in my life would I have expected Schenectady of all places to have a 100% vegan spot, but Chelsea took the chance and has created something really special for us all, with Square One and now with Take Two, where she has really come back with a vengeance.The food here is just excellent. Their biscuits are perfect. The chipotle potato salad is my favorite side. Ya gotta love that they’ll put just about anything in a Crunchwrap. And you just feel good supporting them, because you’re always welcomed by pleasant human beings.

Such an amazing menu here, was a tough decision picking what to eat. I went with the Triple decker w/ Chipotle pot salad. My wife go the Reuben w/ Mac & cheese. Everything was just busrting with fresh flavors. Highly recommend checking this spot out if in the area and hungry. Also have top notch sweets as well. Got the maple pecan pie and nutter butter cheesecake 😋 nothing disappointed here.

100% vegan menu and it's all the stuff you wish you could have out in the world. I have a dairy allergy and food is such a stressful thing at times. I don't have to worry here in the slightest and whatever they do back in that kitchen to make everything taste so incredible is one of God's great mysteries because wow. Try everything. Especially the Mac n cheese though.

They mean vegan 🌱!!! I stopped on Sunday at lunchtime. It was pretty busy. Friendly and welcoming staff. My son and I ordered the grilled cheese with bacon and mac & cheese. We got an espresso coffee and an ice tea also. Great choice!

I stopped here during an Amtrak layover and it was such a wonderful experience! I got the Reuben and Mac and cheese and both were incredible and came out super quick. The ambience and walkable neighborhood is also fantastic. The staff was super kind and gave me a recommendation for another cafe I could go work at when they closed. I would move to Schenectady just for this place!

I'm always, and I do mean literally always, happy when I arrive at Take Two Cafe. The atmosphere is so welcoming and warm. The ambiance is subtly cozy, in part due to the small seating arrangement, and mostly because of the intimate friendliness I feel from the wonderful people who work here.The food has amazing vegetarian options, of course, and everything is delicious. However, my real attraction is the gluten free fare. Not everything is gluten free, but there are enough entrees to choose from. My favorite is the avocado smash with gluten free bread. I always follow up with a delicious gluten free ginger cookie (I'm serious, they are amazing)Finally, I love their coffee, and usually get a decaf Americano.I'm always happy to arrive, happy to be there, and happier because I came. Who can ask for more?
