This place is wonderful. It's such a great alternative to cats in tiny cages at a crowded shelter. All of the cats here get to live in a home like setting and lounge out on fun cat furniture. If you are coming to visit, a drink (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, lemonade) is included with your visit. There are plenty of cat toys to get the kitties interested in playing. If you can't have a cat at home, you can definitely get your kitty fix here. If you are looking to bring home a new family member, they have plenty to choose from. There is also a cute shop in the front where you can buy cat themed merchandise.

Went in for an hour and ended up staying for three! Absolutely amazing place. You can tell the team truly cares for the cats. Will definitely be back to adopt one day š§”

Went here for the first time tonight with my boyfriend, didnāt mind spending the $15/person knowing it goes towards helping these kitties with all the supplies they need. This place rescues all their cats from unfortunate situations and have them available for adoption rather than being sent to a shelter/kill shelter. Some cats were very stand offish due to the circumstances that they came from. Totally expected. But some were also so friendly and just wanted to play and cuddle up. These are cats that were neglected and donāt understand how to accept human affection, YET. so you should expect that when you visit. 10/10 recommend. What these people do is amazing and I wish there were more places like this to help animals find there FURever homes <3

Ryan (the owner) truly has a heart of gold. Each kitty is so loved and well taken care of here and it is clear that she puts everything she has into this business. The atmosphere is clean, comfortable, and the cats seem so at ease, despite coming from heartbreaking situations. There are so many fun events to go to that directly benefit the kitties. Yoga is a favorite for myself, my sister, and mom. Everyone who works here treats customers with so much kindness (even customers who are being rude/careless).There is nothing bad to say about this business. I wish I could give 10 stars as they truly deserve it. Thank you for all that you do.

The experience is unique with interaction with several cats that are up for adoption. The cost is $15 per person (get a free coffee), a clean, kid friendly environment. There is info avail on all the cats that are up for adoption. If you are bringing children.....please supervise their interaction with the cats.

Very cute and clean place. Really donāt understand the bad reviews regarding the cats not being friendly or sleeping. Cats sleep itās normal they are there in order to be potentially adopted not for your entertainment. Anyone that knows about cats knows they take time to warm up to anyone so even though some will be friendly others might not be and thatās okay. They charge $15 per person which included a drink, for the people who complain about that as well need to understand that they have overhead and need to provide food, medical care amongst so many other things. Either way me and my boyfriend had a great time despite him not liking cats he enjoyed himself and we will definitely be back š

I Came in and immediately Iām greeted with a tabby cat and room I can see through a window which I can see has a lot of cats. I payed the entrance fee and got a free drink with it. When I entered it smelt very clean and not like what some people referred to. After I got assorted they brought my drink and I started to look at all the cute cats! some were skittish some loved attention and some were sleeping. A very sweet experience and I will definitely be coming back.

Before visiting I wasn't sure if $15 was going to be worth it. The answer is yes! We made a reservation, which was easy to do and filled out the waivers on-line. When we entered, we were offered a beverage, and then let into the cat area. It's a bit overwhelming at first. Lots of people, lots of cats, and some cat smell (not overwhelming, but my friend commented on it). I immediately sat on the bench next to the tortie. Before I realized it, she crawled into my lap and didn't leave for 30 minutes.I was visiting LI and away from my fur babies, the Cat Cafe was the boost I needed. I will visit again in the future.Update October 2022I came back to LI to say goodbye to a loved one.The Shabby Tabby had been a soothing balm for my sisters and me. Little secret-if you go at 11am on weekdays (avoid holidays and school days off), you will have the place almost entirely to yourself. The other day, the kitties were getting breakfast when we got there.

My favorite place! I love the atmosphere and the kitties!! Unlimited drinks and an hour with the kitties for $15 is a great deal. I adopted my baby girl from here and she has made the best addition to my family! Couldnāt say a single bad thing about this place and love and support their mission!!

What a wonderful place to visit whether you're looking to adopt or just love hanging with the kitties. Ryan and Melanie are angels who literally create a safe, warm and comforting home to cats who would otherwise wither away in a shelter, forgotten and unloved. They have a special affinity for senior cats and work tirelessly to find forever homes so they can spend their last chapter with a loving family. No cat is left uncared for here, even the "challenging" cases wind up learning to love and be loved, thanks to the staff's dedication, time and patience. Your admission price includes a lovely hot or cold beverage and the hour you spend interacting with the felines will fly by because you will have such a great experience. We travel from Queens every few months to visit and never leave without stopping at the fun displays of cat-themed items available for purchase. You can even sponsor a cat with a modest donation to help defray cost of their care. Exciting recent news is that the owners will be launching their very own cat rescue in 2024 so this is a HUGE bonus for homeless cats in the community. Wish there were more of these caring, wonderful places in every town!

Such a unique and special place where your visit fee goes directly to saving sweet little lives. How many places can say that? Ryan and her team have done an amazing job saving over a thousand cats and she takes in ones with medical issues and that are seniors. Thereās a great area in the front with cat themed merchandise also. If youāre a cat lover, this place is for you!

We love ShabbyTabby. We have been here a few times and this past February adopted our sweet girl Pepper from here. All the staff was incredibly kind, and the cats were super friendly. Considering what some of these cats have been through - itās truly amazing to see their resilience when given the opportunity for another chance. My family and I are very grateful to the cafe for giving us the chance to fall in love with another kitty after losing our 13 year old boy to Cancer last year. It took us a year to be ready for another furry friend - but when we were ready - we were determined to pick the ābestā one from ShabbyTabby. It turned out that our pretty girl ended up picking us! My 6 year old fell in love with her and that was that! A few days later she was making herself Queen of the house. After a few weeks of her getting used to her new home she really became one of the family. We love our little Pepper š¶ and cannot thank you guys enough for all you do!

What a wonderful place full of sweet kitties, good iced tea, and friendly, caring staff. These kitties are so well cared for and looking for fur-ever homes. You can easily book time online to spend an hour playing, petting, and snuggling the cats. And when you're done, they have a cute shop in front. I highly recommend going!

I wouldn't recommend bringing kids here. Some of the cats here are very aggressive! If your cats donāt want to be touched by children or anyone, you shouldnāt have it in an open cafe where you as the owner invited the stranger attention with the cafe.If your cats canāt be touched, be responsible and put a NO PETTING SIGN. Donāt deny responsibility when incidents happened.

The Shabby Tabby, holds a special place in my heart. After adopting 3 cats from the cafe, I still come back to love the other cats still looking for their forever homes. Each and everyone one of these cats at the cafe are special and unique. Their personalities leave unforgettable toe bean prints on your heart. Even if youāre not able to adopt, or not looking to adopt at all, come and show these angels all the love, they more than anyone, deserve it.

Place is very professional and friendly. They aren't going to judge you or yell at you if a cat happens to scratch or nibble, that's just how animals are (as long as you didn't provoke!) They even have bandaids and ointment available for the inevitable! The cats are all chosen for their ability to be comfortable or social, and they do wonderful work taking care of cats who may be missing eyes or otherwise. Drinks are actually pretty good, there's a ton of toys to use you do *not* have to pay for, and you can use the tables for games or work. You can buy treats if you would like to for the cats. There are young and old cats and the place is clearly friendly towards minorities and believes in equality and kindness. Keep it up!

I can't say enough how great this place was! Ryan, the owner, has a big heart and it really showed in every inch of the space. The cats that are there right now (9/29/18) are super friendly and love gentle petting. Ryan also brought along her 5 week old foster kittens which were adorable!! Please be careful with kittens that small as they are delicate and sanitize before and after! There are two Keurig coffee machines to self serve your own cup while you're there and prepackaged goodies to munch on for purchase. Tea available as well. Also, there is a bunch of Shabby Tabby and other merchandise for sale like collars, accessories, mugs, and cat wine!I will be back monthly for sure š»

went in with my two friends as walk-ins, were greeted with a nice employee and it was such a cute place. my friend and i are mildly allergic to cats so we took a benadryl before going, and since the place was clean it was of no trouble to us! no strong scents, was tidy and the cats used a separate room to do their business, so nothing was overwhelming, contrary to shelters and what you'd expect smell-wise! the cats were super cute and a couple just hopped onto my lap as soon as i sat down. lovely way to spend an hour, 15$ was somewhat reasonable considering the unlimited drinks. a few of the cats tussled with each other a couple times but other than that they were angels. it was pure serotonin tbh, definitely recommend at least once!

The Shabby Tabby is such a wonderful place! The staff are so friendly and kind and care so much for every cat! We love the instagram posts that they make about the cats. They tell stories of how they found their rescues and what their personalities are like. I love spending time with the cats. I paid for 1 hour and ended up extending it to 2 hours and loving every minute petting so many cats and having one named Meatball sit on my lap for about an hour. We found a cat that I loved and we filled out an adoption form and we were able to adopt him after some time passed. We are so happy with our new kitty! He is the best boy and his personality is exactly as they described it! Heās made our lives so much better! These 3 pics are only a fraction of what weāve taken so far! He is sooo adorable!!

My son loves to come here we've been here multiple times. I feel it's the best value cat cafe you can find because you pay for an hour and you get unlimited drinks. They also have a bunch of various souvenir options. They have so many cats and are always getting new ones and adopting out current cats that have lived in the cafe. The cat area is very spacious and the cats seem happy!
