Amazing spot for birding all year round. Very remote location that takes you to a very quiet and magical area. Nice shaded and accessible walk for all ages with a nice view on the wetland. Canoes available for use and a nice exhibit in the center.

Had a great time with our Cub Scout den today! Great hike, earned our Wolf Call if the Wild from a great instructor from the Audubon society.Amazing building with great wildlife on display. Fantastic trails, great stories! We love it! Will definitely back during other times of the year to see what they have to offer. Also will try and see if we can try out the camping events there down the road!Visit! A great state park only a short drive away! First thing we saw heading in was an eagle soaring majestically!

A lovely place for a walk. I personally wish they'd mow the field trails consistently because you will find weeds up to your knees often. Otherwise it's a wonderful place.

The Montezuma Audubon Center is an amazing place to study birds, reptiles and other wildlife native to the State of NY. The center is really big with many rooms full of displays and artwork and maps of the region. They host events year round, the most recent event being their annual Earth Day celebration. There are numerous outdoor trails to hike on with posted signs for self guided tours. During events there are guides with lots of knowledge. There are also trails to drive on as well but you must proceed with caution and respect all creatures in their environment. I'm bringing my family back multiple times this year to enjoy each season because nature grows in different stages and each scene is a different experience. You can being your dogs and cats or whatever as long as they are on leash and you clean up after it. I give this place 5* and recommend for anyone any age. Another reason why #iloveny

Beautiful landscape - enjoyed hiking the trails from forest to marsh. Saw Red Tail Hawk, Canada Goose, a squeaky frog 🐸- not my area of expertise and heard a few other creatures that remained hidden.

This is an excellent place to visit while in the Finger Lakes region. Chris was helpful and informative when we entered the Visitor's Center and gave great advice about what birds we would probably see on each of the trails. We had not read anything about it, but just happened upon the center and so glad we did! Great collaborative venture between the state of NY and Audubon.

Awesome place for kids and adults. They have telescopes trained on an eagle's nest where parents are nuturing recently hatched chick. Coloring pages, touch 'n feel activities for kids, other displays, puppet theater; outdoor activities, classes to take and trails to walk. Good any time of year.

This is a great place for kids. When I visited, everything was set as if it is only for locals. I came from an hour away and had to ask several people for help. No ATM machines, at least it was not there when I visited. Lots of food, however, I could it eat what I ordered. Not sure if it was the seasoning or what, but it was not for me. I liked the kayaking idea, just was not able to do it.

It is mainly a bird sanctuary but also has some other wetland creatures such as turtles and frogs. Great field trip for interactive learning but probably not good for young kids. One of the places you can see a bald eagle! Very knowledgeable guides.

Very knowledgeable staff. Sincerely grateful for recommendations provided by Chris about exploring the area next to the center and a little further away. These recommendations made my husband/bird photographer very happy.

I Parked in the pull off to make a call, there is a great information board, showing illustrations & photos of many of the birds that nest, or rest during migration. I photographed all of them. I'll be back to spend some time here.

A gem of a place. The lady working was beyond knowledgeable of things. Showed the kids a hummingbird (taxidermy) from the display case. Told us where to go kayaking including giving us a map that she marked points on and talked about the different nature preserves in the area. Had a bald eagle nest display set up with eggs to get an understanding of what it looks like. Plenty of bird models well labeled to learn them. Brochures and a small gift shop as well. Also grabbed my Audubon Journal here to get stamped at various participating Audubon centers in different states.

They had a great bird tour. This is not my normal activity so for me to rate it highly says something about the quality of it.The chocolate tasting at the end was a great touch and very well done.

The wetlands behind the center are being worked on currently (5-5-19) so not much waterfowl activity. Greatly enjoyed the feeders on the side though :)
