We were regulars at the Smokehouse for some years but moved out of the area a while back. Made a return visit and was happy to see that the quality, cleanliness, and service have not slipped. This is the place to go for basic German fare. We always stock up on leberkase and assorted wursts as well as pretzel buns and the odd hunk of cheese. They also have a wide variety of german cookies, candies, condiments, and spices (you get the picture). I highly recommend this butcher shop for anyone who is a meat enthusiast.

I've been passing this place for years but never went in. I finally did this time and I'm mad at myself that I hadn't come in sooner. They have a great selection of meats. The person who helped us was fast and friendly. I can't wait to come back to try some more of their products.

This place is a gem!!! Packed with all sorts of great quality meat options, pricing is a little high but you get what you pay for, service is on spot and friendly, they get packed but move it along with ease.... Came here while visiting, please build one in central Kentucky!!

Awesome butcher and the selection is top notch. There is always something new you can try. Our favorite three items are: baked beans, landjaeger sticks and beef jerky. You have to try them!

Years and years I’ve been blessed with the freshest meat you can buy. The Smokehouse staff is very friendly, efficient and proud of their product. Generally, I purchase pork, which is delicious and tender no matter the cut. Chicken is superb as well. I assume their beef is on par with everything else although I’ve not had it. One big downfall for me are the pretzels! Plural as I cannot leave with just one. Also, there is an assortment of sweets as well. Sorry, I can’t say what. I never make eye contact with that area of this sensational store! ❤️

This is THE place to buy meats, cold cuts, bacon and smoked meat, sausage, chicken and many special treats, bread, cookies and....on & on. There isn't a less than wonderful thing in the store or about the experience as far as I can tell. It's family owned and operated, local and friendly. Since our population has grown during the pandemic, there's sometimes a wait, but there's plenty to look at and the relaxed atmosphere and service is always worth it.Still great!My favorite things: sausage stuffed (hot or sweet ) pork loin; Vienna chocolate wafers, cold cuts and cheeses, and homemade BBQ pulled pork and Gram's BBQ baked beans which I eat weekly.Always wonderful especially when I get there early enough to score some pretzels sticks and rolls and, in the fall apple cider donuts.I'm going to have to stop updating this! The Smokehouse has been discovered. There were 20 people ahead of me when I went in today. I'm told that it is always like this before the holidays and not just because of the city people who moved up here during the pandemic! Anyway, it's definitely worth the wait.

Amazing cold cut and fresh meat. We stop by every time we are in the area. You can grab everything to make a good meal or a perfect sandwich.

This place was amazing. Alot of different meats, breads, spreads, pickles, marenaids and deserts. The top sirloin we got cooked up great with alot of flavor. Can't wait to cook up the pork loin.

I love this place. They have fantastic meat. I highly recommend their capocollo, bacon, sausages. But everything we got here was just excellent. They are fast and cordial.

Place was spotless clean! Staff was superFriendly! Everything We bought was just outstanding. Kielbasa, smoked beef, bacon, smoked cheese all amazing. But it gets better.... the amount of Authentic German/ European mustards, potato pancake mix, Pickles, etc. was great! I stocked up since I have trouble finding those quality foods! Any time I am up that way I am stopping there. Danke schon Everyone!

Meats galore: fresh cuts and cold cuts; mustards; salt sticks & pretzels. The store smells wonderful; the staff are efficient & skilled; the meats an amazing taste treat. Hard to stop adding items to the order.Store has a roadside sign, but the store is below the road and can be overlooked.

This is always the best place to buy meats in the area! Staff is super friendly and helpful. The butchers always have great ideas for preparing the meats that you would not have thought of. Their homemade cold cuts are sausages are beyond compare. Just the best!

First time here today. Spent $50.- will likely come back to buy more! Family run German butchers with a wide array of home made and imported German products. It All looks Good! Clean, staff is Friendly and there are Good things to both eat and make at home!

Stopped in today and I was instantly impressed as well as overwhelmed. Just the aroma alone was enough to know the ride was well worth it. Behind the long glass case were so yummy smoked meats cheeses sausages fresh local chickens beautiful cuts of beef and pork. Fresh breads pretzel rolls and pretzel bagels. Ahhhhh and that’s just the start. The store is loaded with wonderful imported products. Jellys jams soups sauces condiments. And plenty of desserts. I felt the prices were very reasonable and the staff was super friendly. I for one can’t wait to get back there cause I know I missed a few things. Highly recommend I noticed people excited to go in and smiling when leaving with there yummies. Five ⭐️

You will NEVER buy kielbasa or sausage of any kind from anywhere else again. THE BEST. Don't forget to grab yourself a fresh pretzel or bread! You will not be disappointed. The employees are all so nice as well.

We always get our meat from the Smokehouse especially for our large holiday gatherings. I have always been beyond satisfied with the quality. Recently when I did not have food for a party, I called the smoke house and they put together a whole bag of groceries for us. My husband went right to the cashier and didn’t have to shop the store. (Thank you Christina) On top of having yummy products, good quality their customer service is always above and beyond. I am so thankful to have them in my backyard.

This place has the highest quality meat I have ever seen. Also they so their own smoking and make their own sausages. The staff there - who m.jay all be related - are super nice. Now with the virus and precautions we waited outside about 40 minutes this morning. All clean and safe inside. This place is a gem.

Never been there. But, a friend of mine, who lives in the area, shipped me a box of typical products, including such wonders as venison pepperoni, venison salami, extra hot horseradish, etc. Needless to say, one of the best "un-birthday" presents I've ever received! I'm thinking about trying to order some stuff myself (if they deliver to North Carolina!).

Always great quality and kind staff! Definitely my favorite place to get meats and some German food and condiments. If you like spicy try the smoked ghost pepper cheese! Also assorted oyster mushrooms and sometimes lions mane!

Excellent store, very clean, very friendly AND great assortment of fresh and smoked Foods! Being of German heritage it reminded me of going food shopping with my mom! PS..got smoked pigs ears for my dogs...they devoured them in lest than 10 minutes! The best!

This place happened to be near the KOA Campground that we were staying at which was also a good place. The selection was really amazing for a store of their size. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I ended up buying sausage, pork ribs, chicken and bacon. ALl of is was really good. The chicken in particular was moist and flavorful. Really a great place and I will now stop whenever I am in the area.

Super high quality and reasonable prices. They get all their meat from local farmers who treat their animals well, but you don't have to pay those outrageous prices you find at organic/whole foods type markets. I really enjoy the garlic bologna, smoked mozzarella, the munich grills, the chicken sausages, the homemade pretzels, and anything and everyone they make with liver. They really know their stuff, you can't go wrong here.

Bought sirloin steak and rack of lamb. The best lamb ever! It did not have that strong smell!!! So far all the meat i’ve bought were fresh! But they had me at the lamb! Highly recommend.

As always....Clean, heavenly, prices similar if not better then the chain stores, BUT the quality of meats (of all kind) cannot be compared. Excellent quality and the staff are the nicest group of people you can meet. A BIG thank you to the Smoke House. 👍👍👍👍👍
