Very poor selection of most things tbh. I was searching for somewhere to buy pork belly and it made me laugh when PC showed up on Google. Only once in 6 months did they have any. Also what’s with the fascination of smoked bacon everywhere? Can I have nitrate free bacon please? A choice of unsmoked and smoked would be decent. I’ll stick to Adams or Shoprite even tho I have to travel further.Did I mention their moody staff ? They never ever ever ever seem happy

There is really not anything negative I can say about this place. It is always spotless inside, outside, and even behind the scenes, like in their meat cutting area (I looked in there...seriously).This is the supermarket chain in Upstate NY. They will cut your meats any way you want them - as well as season them (free of charge) from a variety of rubs to choose from. Even if you go with the pre-cut choices already in their butcher case, the variety is vast and the prices can't be beat. The same can be said for their full-service fresh fish station and deli department. And their produce section (with lots of organic) is equally impressive.The overall prices here are very reasonable, with weekly specials and coupon savings that make it even better. They are also open 24hrs, which may not impress you if you're a NYC dweller like me, but in this town, they roll the sidewalks in at 5 pm so an all-night grocery store is practically a mirage.

Routinely out of stock of items. Selection of items is subpar. One of the worst grocery stores / chains in the Hudson Valley. The only thing they have going for them is thelat there's most likely no closer alternative.

I was excited to go to Price Chopper for my first time. This was quickly quelled when I had to hover for several minutes near the large blond self-checkout lady who was chatting with a friend. Then she didn’t respond to the assistance button-so I left. Very rude. Will not return and don’t understand how she is employed.

It is a bit pricier than other local (within 7 miles) supermarkets, but in the Village of Saugerties and very convenient - walking distance for many.

One of my favorite grocery stores of all time, with the Lark Street P. Chop a very close second.Their bakery is good as well as having a nice produce section. Many P. Chops have been rebranded as Market 32 and I think this one did the updates without the facelift.

The store itself is ok except for this horrible woman in the bakery named Ashley. Every other word that came out her mouth was vulgar as she was saying racist and deratory comments about other employees. Ashley should be fired! She needs a good dose of self esteem!

The cashier was absolutely amazing, but you are getting one store because you are focused more about bags than you are customer service and cleanliness and sucking your shelves. The guy doing self-checkout was like the bag police carefully issuing them to people as they paid for them with their self-checkout order and then my cashier had her bags hidden under the counter and I come to find out that the cashiers are penalized for any bags not run up, this is why Price chopper is the worst grocery store chain in the Hudson valley, why don't you focus on the right things, I understand you have to charge 5 cents for a bag but my god do you really have to have a bag security person issuing them to the cashiers

Very clean tidy place well thought out you can find anything you need the folks that work there are very friendly inviting and knowledgeable of products they have in the store just moved into the area and I am there very often and the prices are definitely worth it instead of running all the way into town

Excellent bakery and overall great pre-made dinner options. Very reliable and consistent in quality and customer service overall. Just had a pre-made mini-cake and was delicious!

While the cashiers are absolutely lovely I can't say so much for the remaining balance of the associates throughout the the store the manager Scott is very helpful. This seems very concerned when a customer brings an issue to his attention. On this particular day I was in the store doing an instacart order because that's what I do for work and I came encountered with the deli associate or Deli manager it was a female I'm not sure her name but what a huge attitude this lady had. She told me she was too busy to cut my customer's Swiss cheese because she had a lot of paperwork and scanning to do. Never had anybody tell me no they will not cut deli meat for me because they are too busy in any store that I've ever shopped in that is why I am giving this A 3 star rating. Cause I can't rate the entire store bad the cashiers are lovely the CO manager is absolutely heartwarming and warming and appreciative of customer feedback but the remaining balance of the associates need to check their attitudes and actually be more willing to help customers throughout the store.

Just went on a Sunday afternoon. There was 1 open register and a bunch of self checkout registers. I hate using self check out. I've never seen a supermarket with 1 checkout lane. That's crazy. Of course I used the self checkout and had issues (I bought beer so had to have someone OK it, had to type in the codes for vegetables and had to have the employee override another error). It's a pain. This place has a pretty decent selection of food, but it depresses me.

The customer service is usually excellent at Price Chopper in Saugerties. I think it’s important people should be acknowledged when they go that extra mile. I just purchased a meal cooked in the store and the person who waited on me(not sure if his name is Joseph)provided STELLAR customer care. I hope he has a nice evening.My children and I are enjoying the shrimp and fries. 😋

Great customer service, especially by a person whom, on two occasions, I asked for help, in the first one he helped me understand how the vegetables were arranged and in this way I did not waste a lot of time trying to find something. The second time, he wasn't sure if they had the product he was looking for and he went to look for it himself and since he couldn't find it, he went to the customer service office and returned with the product I needed. Few people do that, they tell you to look in such a corridor and that's where the help ends.

Visiting from the South, forgot NY doesn't provide plastic bags for groceries. They will charge you for brown paper bags, and .05 cents for plastic soda bottles!

I just rediscovered Price Chopper in SaugertiesIt had been years since I was there.What a Great Store with some awesome salesIt as always was clean and well organized!!Can't wait to go back there and shop again 🙂

Most of the staff is friendly. Always an exception though. The bakery has great stuff and great staff! The sales are usually decent as well.Lately the evenings have very few cashiers and takes longer to check out.

Always rotten produce, but this has gone too far! Wanted to make my wife fresh French onion soup on a snowy night and when I got home I realized the cheese was moldy. Not the first time, but this time they ruined my dinner!! Horrible monopoly of a town grocery store with toxic waste they sell as food!

I see a lot of decent reviews, but I'm not sure if the locals have any comparison!!! One day made an ice cream purchase and the cashier accidentally dropped it. Melted ice cream splattered everywhere and she simply shrugged her shoulders saying "that cooler is down again". I don't know about you, but I'm thinking a dairy cooler is an important health and safety requirement?!? Another purchase of diet shakes to find the contents coagulated and way beyond expiration. I advised the front desk employee that they might want to check the dates of the product on the shelf. He rolled his eyes and sarcastically responded "yeah, that might happen". I don't know if it is ineffective management or employee work ethic, but they all seem to have the "it's not my job" attitude when asked for assistance. I've heard people compare it to a giant convenient store!!! Out of convenience I will shop there for basic items, but I'll travel to Kingston for major items, meats, deli, etc....

I've shopped here for years. The problem is basically that there are always little problems. Today the cashier forgot to use my points for the second time in a week. They expire tomorrow. Last week, they had no half and half, and were out of several sale items that I went there specifically to get. The week before, I was charged full price for two items that were supposed be on sale. I like the people who work there, but I'm losing patience with this place.

Not an overly large store but not too small either. They've got a great prepared foods section. Prices are pretty good for their sale items. They've got a great variety of items and have everything you need.

I hear a lot of complaints about PC, but I find it extremely convenient and they’ve really increased their organic produce & products and also they have an excellent selection of GF breads in the frozen Dept.I personally don’t like their fish Dept but hey you can’t have everything! It’s good to have a big supermarket nearby!

I live in Catskill but go to the Saugerties PC because the Catskill one is so poorly run. At least when I order a sub (highly recommended) from Saugerties they don't tell me that they're out of bread like Catskill. Out of bread???? Don't you have a 30 yard long isle filled with 100 different kinds of bread?? Anyway, the saugerties Price Chopper is my go to PC in the area. Quick in and out....generally, fully stocked and also generally, very helpful and friendly employees.

The girl at register was so very sweet.. I wish I could have tipped her. I am going to have to look at my receipt and come back and edit this. She must receive recognition for her her good work. It was the very first aisle closest to the flowers and deli/pizza etc.

Good all around grocery store. The person who bagged my groceries did a great job. The store does not have a coffee shop but there’s a Dunkin’ in the same parking lot. (The parking lot is a bit hairy so be careful.)

It's a grocery store. You go in..buy food..leave. It's a small building, so the variety is slightly lacking, but what they do carry is good. My biggest complaint is the lack of cashiers...every....single.....day.

Who closes their meat and seafood departments at 5:30 PM? Some people work untill 5 and have a commute. You even advertise your fried seafood dinners quite often. Guess I'll have to start going back to the grocery stores in Kingston.
