We adopted Suzie (formally Lily) from HOPE. They did vet references and everything. You can tell they truly care about where the animals are going. My only complaint would be you picked a cat and they told us to go take a little walk to make sure he was the one we wanted. We were gone five minutes and someone else was already adopting him. However, I feel like it was meant to be because Suzie fit right into our little family. A few months after we got her, we were given a six week old husky pit mix and now even with a 50 pound weight difference they are best friends and cuddle on the couch together. Their adoption center at the mall was clean. They tried to match the potential adopters to the animal and were super friendly. I love that you have to sign a contract That the cat must be an indoor cat only. If anything ever happened they are always a HOPE cat and will take them back if anything happened (we have no plan to EVER get rid of Suzie. Once a family member, always a family member. I just love the policy.) It just proves their love for the animals in their care.

I can't understand why these loving amazing people don't have a five star rating always. My last two cats are from HOPE and they did everything possible to make my adoptions fast and easy. They gave me helpful hints, feeding preferences, ideas about what cat needed to be alone, etc. My life has been enriched by all my interactions with each and every one of them. Thank you isn't enough. Twenty ✨ is a start.

Got my girl Nessie from them, they were the only place willing to work with me on finding a good companion for my dog.The other shelter literally told me to take a cat home and "try it out", said I would be able to return it if I didn't like.I couldn't believe how callous they were, like we were talking about a pair of jeans rather then a member of the family!Finding the right fit has made all the difference and while there's still work to be done, I'm proud of how well they're doing.I highly recommend checking them out of you're looking for a new friend.Thank you Hope!

Do NOT do business with these people.Only giving one star because I have to put a rating. I’d give zero stars if I could.A friend had adopted a pair of cats Dolly, and Peep. Well she made a mistake of leaving the window cracked before bed and they managed to escape. Eventually. They trapped dolly and found her. But REFUSED to return her to her owner. The owner then went and purchased her own traps after this agency had moved the traps they had set in place and wouldn’t tell the owner where the traps were (so the owner wouldn’t know if peep was caught) hence the owner buying her own traps. Well the owner ended up with peep. And told hope that she had peep and would like to pick up dolly. They ignored her/ denied calls/ withheld information! Until the police called the owner of dolly and peep and said that hope was claiming they had “their” cat. She explained her situation and the officer told her that peep is in fact hers and dolly as well. But it’s a matter to be handled in civil court. Until she had talked to the police they told her they would not refund her but that they needed peep.They ended up refunding her 150$ (for both cats that’s what she paid) because she refused to give them peep without a refund. As she truly just wanted dolly and peep reunited.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE

This adoption center cares about their animals more than the feelings of negligent owners that lose their animals only a few weeks into owning them, and rightfully so. They're putting animals first so they don't go to poor, abusive, neglectful homes. It's not H.O.P.E's fault some people are bad pet owners. Be responsible, and this adoption center is the right place for you.
