The staff was amazing today! I went into the store about 10 days ago to buy a snail to clean our betta fish tank. Sadly, the snail didn't make it. We discovered that today when I brought my 8 year old into the store. She loves every living being, she named it. It was a loss for her and the staff did everything they could to console her. We left with 2 new snails and some food. I'm 100% about supporting local businesses and we are happy with the choice to shop at Benson's!

Was very disappointed in buying a very expensive fish. Day after buying him. He showed signs of being very sick. I went back to bensons to only be told it was my tank he got sick from. Which I know isn’t true since none of my other fish were sick or got sick. They didn’t want to offer any sort of money back for buying a sick fish. And after doing treatment exactly like they said ( which now I realize I shouldn’t have listened to anything they said ) my $50 fish died. I don’t recommend buying fish from them.

I have bought fish from here multiple times and yet every single time I buy a fish with in 2-3 days this fish dies. I go back with the 30 day policy and then that fish dies with in a couple of days. I am very disappointed and annoyed with this it’s not just one type of fish either, we have gotten beta, goldfish, coy, shrimp, guppies, pleco, and more. I have 4 goldfish and a beta from Petsmart that I have had for over a year now. so no it’s not the type of fish or my tanks it is there fish. We always use Bensons for all our fish and dog products. The people there are always pleasant and willing to help even if we don't ask for help they are always there❣I can't say anything bad about Bensons❣LOVE❣ My huge Bamboo shrimp and still molting!

The staff @ Bensons was incredibly helpful and very friendly!They were able to answer any and all questions we may have asked and were always willing to help.They treated our pup like he was a celebrity..My husband commented as we left that Benson will be our pet store from now onIt's not easy to impress him but they managed it!

This store and the Johnstown location are the only places I but my Chinchilla food from. They have very knowledgeable staff and options. I highly recommend going to a Benson's Pet Center to get information about a pet you intend on buying....the staff will definitely get you information and the correct equipment needed. They also have a fantastic frequent buyer club :)

The staff was friendly and helpful, although they didn't carry the furbliss grooming pad I needed. I needed water to drink and a bathroom which they don't have for the public. The parking area and entrance gives the impression that the place is maybe closed, as it is all uncared for.

Whether I have been trying to find the right food for a puppy with an upset tummy, or trying to find a way to keep the same puppy busy so he stops nibbling on my hands, they're always helpful and full of information. Benson's is always my go to place for pet needs.

Always love Benson's. The store is kind of cram packed full and very 'busy' in their placement. But it's good products and reasonably knowledgeable staff. I always have a good time when I go in and find some new thingy for one of my number of animals. One of the only places you can buy carnecare, and insectivore diets

Went in to see if someone could help me with food issues my dog was having. The gentleman that helped was very nice and smart. He told me that my dog was allergic to chicken (Which my vet never told me, kept saying it was fleas) he recommended I give him food that has duck in it. Ever since then my dog eats zignature duck, and he has had no issues. Will continue going here for as long as I can.

Great staff! The only place for me to get my dog's brand of food ever since my online supplier no longer carries it. Their frequent buyer program is great too - I'm always surprised it is time for my FREE bag of dog or cat food!

I love Benson's! They have a great selection on dog toys from your standard tennis ball to interactive/mental stimulation toys and at a great price too! I have found all their prices to be fair and below all the bigger brand name stores like petco or petsmart.They have a huge selection on dog food and treats that won't disappoint! You will not regret going to Benson's! Chances are if you can't find it at Benson's then you won't find it anywhere in the area.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. Once you have a dog, you get it. Any place that genuinely loves your dog, like Benson's, you appreciate so much more. I really do.Truly lovely people. I always have a great time going in here. I get the best food for my dog from this place and I really appreciate this business. They are the best at what they do!

I really enjoy the Benson's shops, some more than others. The employees are friendly here but not always the most helpful in a few ways. In general, it is a favorite of mine to shop, even though I've used the Johnstown location for so long. It'll take getting used to.

We just found out about this store in Saratoga Springs, have only been to the one in Glenn's Falls. My son uses it for fish and was so excited to find a fish here he hasn't found anywhere else we looked. Also, the young man who helped us was friendly.
