My two pups loved their time at Adirondog Vacations. They spent a lot of time outdoors taking in the fresh ADK mountain air. The resident pup, Cedar, was a welcoming host and I’m glad my dogs had more time to socialize. I received photos of my pups while I was away which made me feel good to see them so happy. Would definitely recommend booking with them!

Our dog, Rascal, had never been away from us overnight until we left him several days to attend a family funeral on the west coast. Glenn did an incredible job making Rascal feel comfortable. He sent us several photos to ease our minds about how things were going. Additionally, he was flexible with ever changing airline flight information. Definitely a great place for a dog to stay when his humans are out of town!

Our puppy Maisy had a wonderful experience with Glen and his dog, Cedar. Glen sent us lots of pictures of Maisy enjoying herself with his many dog toys and walking on the nearby trail. We will most definitely make another reservation with Glen.

Update: June 2023 - Rocket enjoyed his 3rd stay with Adirondog Vacations. Glenn continues to have great communication and flexibility with drop-off/pick-up times. I truly feel at ease leaving Rocket there for several days and know that he is getting excellent care. Rocket is already planning his next Adirondog Vacation!Update: June 2022 - We had another wonderful experience with Adirondog Vacations this summer. Glenn and Cedar are gracious hosts and Rocket had a great stay!June 2021 - Glenn was super responsive and very flexible when I was scheduling Rocket's drop off and pick up dates/times. He answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease about leaving Rocket for several days. It was so nice to receive pictures of Rocket during his stay! I would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone and will definitely be scheduling another Adirondog Vacation for Rocket when we visit next summer!

We love sending our dogs to stay with Glenn any time we go away. Always sending pictures and daily updates to let us know they are doing well. We recently sent our 6 month old puppy for a couple days and she had so much fun playing with his dog cedar! Highly recommend Adirondog vacations if you are going out of town or coming to visit!

Glenn was great to work with from the beginning. He was so communicative and responsive as we were making plans, and flexible and helpful as things changed. We were nervous to leave our 7 month old, 50 lb, energetic pup. Glenn was great from start to finish. Great communication, professional, and our pup's stay went well! So thankful to have her stay in a home where she can be comfortable, play with other dogs, and get outside for walks. We will definitely use Adirondog Vacations again.

We are so relieved to have found someone who really cares about “Bailey” and her needs. We will definitely call Adirondog Vacations again as needed! As dog owners, we felt listened to. It seemed to us that Bailey felt she was on vacation too! Glenn is patient, understanding and flexible.

We had a great experience letting Glenn look after our dog for a long weekend. He only takes a few dogs at a time and we arranged a meet and greet with our dog Pico and his host dog cedar before dropping Pico off for his first few days away from us since we adopted him 5 months prior. Glenn’s home is on a quiet dead end street with lots of woods(state land) across the driveway. The setting is great for dogs, and Glenn seems to be careful and attentive when welcoming visiting dogs into his home. We would feel comfortable having Pico stay there again.

With our rescue pup being new to our family we were hesitant to board him, especially given his energy level and all of his 65 pounds. I read Adirondog reviews and noticed several of my dog-loving friends used this service. We could not have been more pleased 😁. Glenn was awesome with Archie. Loved everything about Glenn and his business! My dog had a better time than we did! It’s an amazing option, so comfortable for the dogs to have a home for their time away from the family, and Glenn takes very good care of them and is super responsive, stays in touch, sends pics daily...just awesome! So grateful, and I’ve told everyone I know that goes to this part of the adk about Adirondog!

Glenn watched Campy for 2 weeks. I was very nervous about it because previously he has stayed with friends with dog that he knows. He has a tendency to be high strung or gets anxiety with giving himself a hot spot on his hind leg or paw by nervous licking. Glenn put me at ease ( a little) with a dog walk a few days before we left. While away, Glenn texted a few photos and words. When we got home, Campy was happy to see us but also totally good. It has been 24 hours (normally critical time for the nervous licking) and he has shown no signs😀 Glenn was very easy to communicate with and Campy looks and seems in great shape. I am super happy w Glenn’s care and will definitely be using Adirondack Vacations again.

If you’re trying to decide if you should leave your pup with Glenn, do it. I spent a lot of time researching options in the area, but if you’re already here reading this, you’re probably most interested in home-based care.I am admittedly neurotic when it comes to my dog. I can’t help it, but at least I’m aware of it....? I get nervous leaving him with anyone, even in our own home. That said, Glenn was very communicative and a calm, quiet presence throughout the process. Communication is everything when it comes to this type of care. He was generous with his time and he has a smooth, clear process to collect the information you want him to have and know about your pet. I really appreciated this.Glenn was flexible in accommodating our request so we could come and spend time with our dog during the day since we were staying nearby, but in a non-pet friendly accommodation. Also, he walked our dog more than we expected (which was a pleasant surprise) and also sent picture updates.I couldn’t really ask for more. His rates are reasonable. I would recommend him to anyone. And, he was very thoughtful in sending a follow up after our stay. 10/10

JJ has been amazing for us through and through. Our dog looks forward to spending time with him and his dog Cedar. We can’t think of anyone else we feel more comfortable leaving our dog with for a day, weekend, or week for that matter. He’s always sure to take Akimbo on walks or adventures and also shares some lovely pictures with us. You can’t go wrong with Adirondog Vacation! Top notch!!

Glen is very very accommodating. I feel so relieved when I leave Remy with him, and Remy goes berserk w/joy when I mention Glen and Cedar (Glen’s dog), as we travel to their place for the drop off. Great asset in the Adirondacks.
