Dr. Steven's, Jenda and the other vet techs are amazing! They have truly gone above and beyond to help me with my cat who had bladder stones. Dr. Steven's has done everything possible to help me care for my cat and has even met with me after hours to go over x-rays. They always make it a point to call me and keep me informed of everything going on too. Jenda has even made it a point to come in on her day off to help me pick up my cat after surgery and help me bring her to my car, since I am 8 months pregnant! Dr. Steven's is incredibly intelligent and it pays off to listen to his advice. I can't thank the staff enough and will forever be blown away by their wonderful services and care.

We are in the area for vacation and called with concerns about our beloved Stella. (We had already seen Dr Stevens for a prior issue.) The office was ready to close up for the day, but stayed open until we got there. They were all so nice and after a quick exam Dr Stevens assured us it was fine to wait until we got home in a couple of days for more evaluation and intervention by our regular vet. To top it off, they didn't even change us. We so appreciate the attentiveness and care! Many thanks to Dr. Stevens and his staff!

We have always had pets. Over the decades, we have also had a variety of pet issues that required the aid of a veterinarian. Of all those whom we have worked with over the years, Dr. Stuart Stevens is, by far, the best.Dr. Stevens is an excellent surgeon. He has helped our Maine Coon and Black Lab during a few emergencies during the past few years. He is compassionate, knowledgeable and passionate. He also goes the extra mile when helping us understand the issue and what procedure(s) he will be implementing. He has also called us at home during his off-time to check-in on the recovery of our pet. He is one who truly cares about his patients!

I have been taking my dogs Dr.Stevens for 9 years. Dr.Stevens and all of his staff always been friendly and helpful. Recently we found bumps on one of our dogs. Dr. Stevens found one of the spots was cancerous. He nicely explained what was expected and quoted what it would cost to remove it and the other costs that go with it. It was actually less than I thought it would. He could see we were worried and they were able to get him in could as they could. On the day of the surgery he explained what what we were able to expect. After we got home I received a call that they found a few othe spots on him when they did his exam and asked what I would like to do. Later on they called to let me they were done with the surgery and when we could pick him up. Upon the arrival to pick up our dog Dr. Stevens secretary explained everything to could happen with the stitches along with a print out with directions.I’m very happy that Dr. Stevens is vet for my fur babies. I wouldn’t trust any one but him with them.

My Border Collie "Roadie" is feeling so much better after visiting Dr. Stu Steven's in Saranac Lake. The staff was very courteous and Doc was a pleasure to deal with.Turns out allergies can be resolved with some medications we dispensed at his office.My family had almost convinced me to bath her daily with a special shampoo! Not!! Go see a real Doctor like Dr Stu Steven's! You'll be glad you did!!!

Dr. Stevens is very knowledgeable and helped me with getting my sick pup healthy. After spending to me what was a lot of money because my puppy seemed to have one issue after the other it finally got better and got to a time where she needed to be spayed and a baby tooth possibly pulled that had not fell out ( it did fall out on its own a week later). I called to see how much that would be and one of the receptionist kept badgering me on that payment was expected before surgery, how I was going to pay over and over ... Mind you I always payed after appointment no issue cash or card. So needless to say I will take my monopoly money else where if he allows is workers to talk to his patients like that. I understand to let someone know that payment is required that day but to go on and on like she did was uncalled for.

Our kitten was not feeling very well and Dr Stevens got us in right away. The staff was amazing and loved on our cat as if she were their own. They fixed her right up and she was better in no time.

Dr Stevens saved mey dogs life. He gave him 5 more years which I enjoyed immensely. I have recommended him to a few if my friends and he wonders with them also. He is so caring to the pets that he helps. We love him

I would not recommend the veterinary services of Dr. Stu Stevens to any person that feels affection for their pet. We were forced to make an appointment with the only vet with any availability the morning we made the difficult decision to put our beloved dog to rest. This just so happened to be with Dr. Stevens at the Adirondack Park Pet Hospital. We arrived to a small, dingy looking office and were told to bring Milo into a back room and put him on the exam table. My boyfriend requested that Milo be able to stay on the ground because he was having trouble laying comfortably in the table, and Dr. Stevens quickly cut him off and said that he would stay on the table or "there would be problems". Dr. Stevens then took this time as an opportunity to offer us a sales pitch, telling us that we were welcome to bring our other dog to him in the future (mind you, this is as he is shaving Milo's arm for the injection and we are getting ready to say goodbye to a member of our family). As Stevens briefly explains the process, my boyfriend asks the assistant who is holding Milo's head in her arms if he can be the one to hold him. Without allowing this woman to answer for herself, Stevens quickly cut in saying that she would continue to hold him or again, "there could be problems". After the procedure is over and Stevens hastily collected our payment, my boyfriend was left to carry Milo out to the car by himself.Since all of this happened we have spoken to two other people who immediately responded with disgust and horror at the mention of Dr. Stevens name. These adjectives may sound intense, but after hearing a story about one of these people bringing their seizing dog to Stevens and him refusing to perform any sort of action without cash in hand first, reaffirms my agreement with this person's use of the term "criminal" to describe the man. "No bedside manners" was the more polite term I heard to describe this man's work.I am typically not one to speak so harshly about another person, but I honestly do not think that any person should have to go through what we went through during such an amazingly difficult time as putting a pet down. If you recognize your pet as a member of your family and want compassionate veterinary services, do not go to Dr. Stevens.(We love the crew over at High Peaks Animal Hospital! They were kind and caring enough to call us after they heard about Milo just to say sorry and to tell us how much they all loved him. A few days later we got a card signed with personal messages from the staff. This is what compassionate care looks like)

Dr Steven's and the staff were wonderful! We were vacationing in the area and they were able to get us in to see Jacq the dog.Did a thorough exam, blood and Giardia tests in-house. Prescribed meds and furnished them so we didn't need to try to fill a prescription.Spent 45 minutes with us. Answered all our questions and gave us all the information we needed.Best of all was the great attitude by everyone.If we were local, he'd be our vet.

My poor dog hurt his back and Dr. Stevens got us in immediately even though he had never seen my dog before. He was thorough and very informative. My dog is recovering nicely and now we will be going here exclusively.

Dr. Stevens was very rude and brusk. When I got there he was snapping at his assistants, and eventually snapping at me. I was told to bring stool samples. When I did, he told me the cat's was unusable because it was hard. I said I'm sorry you didn't specify when you told me to bring a stool sample that it needed to be mushy. I asked if there was another way to do the test while we were there. He said I could just bring him another one (who watches their cat use the litter box?) Then he went through everything so fast and didn't explain anything about cost. Then at the end he presented me with a bill for $549 for my dog and Cat. They had gotten a couple shots and the cat was going to have blood work because she has been vomiting. I said, "well we will have to take the blood work off because I can't afford it." Then he turned to me and said, "well then don't cal me tomorrow asking what's wrong with your cat." I have never felt so angry and gipped in my entire life. Also this bill is over twice what I have ever paid for my animal's yearly check ups and shots.

Got a quote for 387$ to get one of my girls fixed dr stevens decided the day of the surgery to bump it up to about 500$ and told me It is what it is. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies
