The staff is friendly, efficient, and very caring. Our guinea pig, Pancake, has not been drinking water since the death of her mother. Last week, we took her in for a visit with Dr. Pisciotta, who discovered she had just developed ovarian cysts. He explained everything, did the initial treatment, and scheduled a follow-up. We are very pleased with his discovery and quick response to her new condition.

RHVH is a great place that truly cares about your pet. Our dog has been with RHVH since 8 weeks and 4 pounds. She turned 16yo on 11/25/2023. All my thanks to Dr Pisciotta and his wonderful staff for taking excellent care of our baby Stella.

Everyone greets you like family when you enter. The Doctors and Vet techs share in the joy, cry when there is bad news and try every way to treat you and your pet with love, compassion and quality of life. One time the Dr. came in the office on a Sunday JUST to check my cats blood work results. I get hugs, birthday wishes (for my cats) and Holiday greetings. This practice really loves animals, all animals!

We have been to a number of different vets at Rye Harrison and have never been unhappy with any of them (although the extraordinary Dr. Yarnell treated our animals for many years). -- Recently we took our dog the Rye Harrison Vet and saw Dr. Bardari who we thought was excellent. She took ample time, was thorough in her exam and fortunately the analysis of the lump was not what was feared. She couldn't have been nicer!-- Also, the office was great about calling me when there was a cancellation so our dog could be sooner. -- We have only good things to say about Rye Harrison Vet and that comes from decades of going there!

Really good experience. The vet took the time to explain me how to prep food for my dog, and gave me tips. The vet also gave my dog her injection, quick and nice. I recommend.

We got our cockatiels “Windy” and “Dusty” 15 years ago; and we were looking for an avian Vet. We asked an employee at Bird Jungle for recommendations, and highly recommended Dr. Pisciotta. From the time we met Dr. Pisciotta, we felt at ease and calm. He is compassionate, he genuinely cares about the well being of our birds. We recently got another cockatiel “Rocky”, he had an eye infection when we got him; but after seen Dr. Pisciotta, “Rocky” is doing well, the infection is gone. We are really happy to have found Dr. Pisciotta and his team!

Rye Vet is an outstanding extremely well run veterinary service on all levelsTheir follow up is terrific, even on occasions when I haven’t requested itTheir Vets are all well trained and caring individuals. Also very important (to me) are the front desk and phone answering staff. It’s so important to be greeted in a friendly and professional manner either on the phone or in person and they all do thisI would not take any of my treasured pets anywhere else. 5 stars for sure!!!Julie H

I recently took my puppy to Ryan Harrison Veterinary Hospital, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Doctor Sperling and every staff member were not only friendly, professional, and knowledgeable but also incredibly caring towards my puppy. The facility is clean, and well-organized. Highly recommended.

Dr. Green was really wonderful in helping our guinea pig with bladder crystals. All the vet techs and staff were great too. They took us same day so we didn’t have to do an ER trip. Thank you RHVH!

When I was a teen, I had a pet Rabbit, Chavelo, who was brought in sick. They kept him overnight, I believe maybe a night or two. When we got him back, he had a HUGE wound on his stomach, not sure if it was from another animal at their facility or staff. No one took accountability for it and they actually tried blaming us!! Saying he must've fallen outside or got knicked by a gate at home, etc. I am telling you this wound was his entire underbelly. He has never been an outdoor bunny, ever. If he was ever let out of his cage at home, people were always present, he was limited to the living room and hallway. Since that was years ago, I was considering maybe different staff/outcomes with them for my current cat who needed a primary doctor and physical. My sister is happy with their service for her cat. But when I offered to help drop off my brothers very sick cat, it was supposed to just be a quick drop off as he was scheduled for imaging. The lady at the front desk did not acknowledge me when I entered. I sat down close to the reception desk hoping someone would inquire my reason for the visit. Nope. I went up to them and she looked super annoyed, told me to sit down and that she'll get to me later. Didn't even let me speak one sentence. Others were arriving after me and she attended to them with no problem. They were going in and out dropping off for grooming or getting seen by the vet meanwhile I had to sit 30minutes for what should have been a couple minutes for drop off. Then she finally apologized for forgetting about me, asked for the pets name etc. I informed her I am not the owner and that I was dropping off for my brother who works overnights in the city. She told me some forms were never completed which they had been the previous day and emailed. Took forever before she "found" the completed forms but in actuality ended up pulling a different pet's information, had my brothers cat handed to a vet tech and thankfully they realized her mistake and brought him back to me. Then again with the whole waiting of her trying to fix her incompetence. After they took him, because it was a drop off, to be picked up later, I assumed I could leave. I had to go to work and nothing else was said to me by them. But after I got out the door, the same receptionist lady came running after me saying I have to wait for a tech to come out and speak to me. I'm guessing she didn't mention to the tech that I was not the owner. I waited again for the tech to come speak to me, she came and gave the wrong pet name. Went to the back again and then came out to speak to me again, this time with the correct pet info. She asked me questions a pet owner would be asked and I had to tell her, I'm sorry but as I told the receptionist, I am not the owner. I am simply dropping off. My brother was told prior it was just a drop off, nothing else. Gave her my brothers number which is already on file. I guess I will not be taking my own cat here for anything other than an emergency God forbid. Maybe the vets are great but the receptionist women and some staff are unorganized, unwelcoming, and incompetent. Found Dr. Tarasov in White Plains for my fur baby and so far so good. Also read really good things about Saw Mill Veterinary.

My dog and I went to see Dr. Sperling due to some recent behavior problems with fear aggression. Dr. Sperling was very thorough from pre-consultation paperwork to post-consultation follow-up. She answered all my questions and then emailed me a detailed list of things we discussed with all the instructions clearly laid out. She also came to the consultation with a sheet already written out about thing she wanted to cover. I also really liked that she wasn't pushy about things and worked with my dog and I on what would be best for us. She's very thorough and very caring, really listened my concerns! I highly recommend her.

Front desk staff are always so pleasant and sweet. There's one female receptionist, can't remember her name, but she always cracks me up. She's really like a ray of sunshine coming through my phone.Dr. Sperling is so attentive and calming. She was very matter of fact about some lumps on my dog's chest and side, but it was conveyed in such a compassionate way. I trust her with my dog's life.Pricing is a little steep. Cytopoint shots were 25 bucks a pop down in Richmond VA. My bank account is hurting from the uptick in cost up here. Only complaint.

Always appreciate the kind and professional office staff, and theexcellent care and responsiveness of the clinical staff. They've cared for our pets -- from a "starter pet" guinea pig through cats and dogs, from routine care to serious illness --for almost 25 years. They are the best!

Best animal hospital experience that I ever had. Dr. Moyer is a lifesaver! My cat got sick several weeks ago, she was vomitting nonstop and having diarrhea.Having just moved to this area for school, finding any open vet's appointment in the next two weeks was basically impossible. As a student, I cannot afford the high fee of emergency animal hospitals either. When hearing about my situation, the front desk at Rye Harrison acted extremely empathetically and professionally. She was able to help me get an apointment in time from their cancellations. She also worked very efficiently transferring all my cat's past medical documents manually into their system. My cat was seen by Dr. Moyer, who showed tremendous ethics and professionalism. He was extremely attentive and detail-oriented during examination, asking about the symptoms carefully and working extensively to pin down the cause of the disease. He was also very understanding of my situation, discussing the logistics behind every treatment options trying to find the most effective and cost friendly way to address the problem. The entire visit was really smooth and organized with streamlined team cooperation from all the workers. I was given clear instructions and advise. After the initial and a follow up visit, my cat returned to perfect health under Dr. Moyer's care!

I LOVE Dr. Moyer. He is smart and seriously compassionate. He did say he would call me the next day with the results of my dog's blood work but has not yet called, but that doesn't even detract from the conscientious care my dog was given.

My African Grey bird is sick but not sickly 😂 thank GOD for the veterinary hospital in Rye. The staff was very friendly and the Doctor who she was seen by really helped me through this episode cause I thought my wander was on her way out sort of speaking.... Still waiting on the results praying for a healthy bird Thank You very much to All of the staff may God Bless your hands. I mean all except for Keisha the one who sold my bird when I ask her if there was someone in the office who can afford to take care of her and give Wander a loving home .Keisha Mahone picked up Wander Saturday night and told me to donate wander's cage to the her place of work because she didn't need the cage which is what I did that following Monday two of her coworkers and Keisha came and got the cage out of my vehicle. Once she got the bird she Stopped messaging me and would not answer her cell phone or take my call at the job when I called her to see how was wander adjusting to her new environment she wouldn't give me any information about who had the bird or her whereabout, if the bird was eating. All that I ask is that wherever Wander is that she's being well taken care of because IF I wanted the money I could've sold her myself But I ended up handling her to the wrong person by MISTAKE that had no good intentions I should of caught the red flags when I called her at work and she whispered on the phone telling me she's picking her up which was the last Saturday of April I've asked her more than once to give whoever's has Wander my phone number if they'd have any questions about her or give me their number till this day still no information about that person. Today is Saturday makes one week since she had taken wander without me not knowing anything, I can't sleep because I worried about her not knowing how she's doing if she's eating , talking or playing with her toys. And if she's even got a cage. Keisha called me on Friday 5:30 ish pm. after office hours only because I had called her job and spoke to her Manager earlier Friday morning and let them know what kind of person they have working at the front desk fake smiling with the clients. Keisha told me she's going to give my numbers to whoever has Wander. But or course she only lied because her Manager was standing there with the call on speaker..... Karma's got its day One bad person can ruin things for something that was good at one time .......

This place restored my faith in vets. I was having a really hard time finding a reputable vet that didn’t charge an arm and a leg for my senior dog, Jack. My previous vet was having me run senior blood panels monthly for nearly $400 just to check kidney and liver function and pushing all kinds of medication, but Rye was able to do a more specific test for him at a third of the price and took the time to help me figure out what medication is right for my best bud. The vets here are practical, friendly, and realistic. You can tell that the staff really cares, and they are very communicative. Seriously so glad I found them! Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Everyone is so wonderful! Starting from the receptionists, they greet you with so much kindness. And then the rest of the staff that I’ve met and had a 1 to 1 conversations with, are just very friendly and helpful. Dr. Moyer has helped me with my puppy and he’s been so helpful, explains information very clearly, keeps you updated on your pet and let’s you know when and at what time is best to reach him. Honestly, everyone at this veterinary hospital are super helpful overall and I couldn’t ask for a better place for my pet.

I took my 14 year old cat (Sasha) here for an examination after she abruptly stopped eating food the night before and was vomiting a white/yellow substance. I voiced my concern that something serious was going on as I had never seen my cat lose her appetite completely and voiced my fear for her life being in danger. During my time there, they recommended conducting a medical examination, blood work and urine analysis/collection and what felt like the rest of the kitchen sink to obtain as much information as possible. Here is a full breakdown of what I was charged:BIO Biohazard Waste Disposal - $ 4.00102 Office Visit /Exam - Medical Problem - $ 95.00INJ48 Injection - Cerenia 0.40ml - $ 64.00230 Fluid Therapy - SQ - $ 83.00439 Complete Blood Count (CBC) - $ 67.75420 Superchem (SMA) - $ 86.90546 T4 - $ 63.001067 Urinalysis - $ 41.50590 Bacterial Culture & Sensitivity (urine) - $ 181.00Total Charge: $ 686.15After I picked up Sasha she looked in a worse condition than the morning even after receiving the IV fluids treatment and appeared traumatized not wanting to move much at all and seemed more fragile. I brought her home and let her rest through the evening until I woke up to Sasha gasping in the middle of the night. While on my way out the door to an emergency vet facility I witnessed her final breath of air and now know what it looks like to watch a beloved animal die in front of you while you feel completely helpless. I will never bring another animal here regardless of the many positive reviews this establishment has. I've lost any faith that they will provide the necessary care for any animal and feel that I (and Sasha) were taken advantage of given her situation. After returning to them the following morning and informing them that Sasha had passed away in the night I inquired about a refund for analysis services (blood work/urine, etc.) I was told the work was already completed and nothing could be done. After offering their condolences they didn't hesitate to offer me cremation services for additional money -- I had already spent the early morning burying Sasha. I hope everyone that uses this establishment never experiences what I've experienced.

We've used RHVH for over 20 years & wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgable. The doctors are excellent. They keep your pets healthy and work tirelessly to discover what is wrong when your pet is unwell. For example, when a very old but happy cat of ours developed kidney problems, they taught us how to inject her with extra fluids daily. We could have brought her in daily or they would have come to the house if we were having trouble. Our cat's life was extended by 2 rich years because of this. They helped us with recognizing when it was time for her to go and were so compassionate throughout the whole process. We just came back from an annual check up of our 4 year old cat who is in 'perfect health.' They even commented on the quality of her coat (she's just a tortie, not longhaired or anything 'special'). But they noticed how clean she was. We explained that not only does she wash regularly but she asks for multiple brushings a day from my husband and me. The people at RHVH notice *everything* (which one of our cats developed). You will have such peace of mind putting RHVH in charge of your pet's health. They also board pets, and our cats over the years have always been very happy staying with them. And you don't just pick your pets up when you come back; you get a full report on their eating, playing, etc.

I have been bringing my cats to RHVH for their care for many years. We have always been treated with compassion and as far as I can tell, my cats have always received excellent medical treatment, from regular check-ups and bloodwork to dental cleanings and surgery, to end-of-life care. The staff is patient, warm, and welcoming, and everybody always answers my questions and explains things well. I appreciate what you all do so very, very much.

We have been taking out pup here since the day after we brought him home in September 2022 and everyone we have met and interacted with has been lovely. As a household with 2 working adults I love the extended and Saturday hours. Every vet has spent time answering my questions and I feel like I have a say in my pups care. After his neuter I felt strongly that I wanted to bring him home and everyone I spoke with worked with me to help ensure that could happen even if it wasn’t their standard practice.
