I was very pleased with my first and only (so far) experience at this vet. They were nice, knowledgeable, and did a great job with my dog. I especially appreciated Melissa the vet tech and just how sweet and bubbly she was. Suggesting certain things but not at all pressuring or looking down if I wasn't interested.

The staff here is the best. They are the most knowledgeable, compassionate, caring Vets I've ever had for my animals. I highly recommend them for all your animals large and small. They've seen my horse, mini horses, goats, llamas, alpacas, bulldog, Newfoundland, pomeranians, cats, kittens and whether visiting my home for a house call or being seen on the office they are so kind and caring.

I was absolutely terrified my normally aggressive cat Lucifer was dying he was so nice and sluggish and these were the only people who would take him! It turns out he just has a flea allergy but thanks to Lakewood veterinary my spicy boy is spicy and snuggly again❤️ when warned my cat can bit and nip and likes to play hard the vet wasn't scared at all! Actually complimented me on how Lucifer was such a sweet cat! I'm so glad they saw him, his appointment was affordable and we were treated so kindly and the vet was also very reassuring about my cat and my concerns! Thank you again!

This is the only vet that would get my dog in to have a checkup and shots . My dog is still a puppy but somewhat aggressive with new people and dr Jeff handled him very well and didn't even want me to muzzle him. I'm so happy to have a vet to give me great advice on what to work on with my pup and to be very gentle and understanding with him 😊

BREEDERS BEWARE!!!!This vet HATES breeders. Jeff the owner will lie to you about your dog saying it has problems then make up stories about how your dog shouldn't be bred wasting thousands of dollars of your hard earned money.My friends and I have never bred our dogs before and only plan to breed every year once for four years depending on dogs health which is all perfectly fine for a dog.We all were scammed by this vet clinic given bad info....this has happened to three of us now.Don't waste your money on bad advice. We will be reposting this on our local ny dog pages and our Facebook pages that way if the owner deletes everyone sees it!!!

Very professional, kind staff who have an extensive lab and surgical offerings. They are equally comfortable with cats and dogs, as well as farm animals. My elderly cat knew she was in good hands on our first visit: There was *no* fussing. Fees are reasonable.

Recently moving from Buffalo six months ago we hadn’t found a vet in the area for our Persian cat , Noelle, yet. She woke up sick I called every vet within 25 miles and they were the only out of 10 to have space for her at all as a new patient and I’m so glad they did. The staff was so kind to Noelle & I. She hasn’t had great vet visits in the past as she’s a house cat and mamas girl but this time was different as everyone there was so patient with her. We were in and out in half an hour with medicine, all of my questions throughly answered and a new vet for life. 10/10 recommend Lakewood Veterinary Service

They have been great with my Lola! She is a Jack Russell who is super sweet except at the vet. They are still so sweet with her and are very understanding! I'm so glad we decided to take our puppy there!!

Our 9 1/2 year old lab, hound, and who knows what yelped when she bit down in a treat. Made an appointment and was told she probably would need a tooth pulled. Scheduled for the following week. Had teeth cleaned, one tooth removed and nails trimmed. Dog is doing great and it was very affordable. Thank you!!

They're always so friendly here, my dog is very skiddish and gets a little aggressive with strangers, but they didn't even bat an eye at it! Just gave him his check up and vaccines and we're so kind and friendly with us! A very nice facility with great staff!

We have been using this vet for a few years and for the most part have been happy with the services. We recently had a 1400 pound momma cow who was very sick with a 104.5 temp so we called to get someone out to work on her. The male vet who came out has always been touchy to work with but we were willing to give him another chance. So he came out looked her over and advised us to give her aspirin. Did not administer any antibiotics, or fluids. No care or treatment of any sort. Could have given her the aspirin himself to make it seem like he cared even a little. Needless to say we ended up losing her the next day. Now I'm bottle feeding her calf and am out the money of the vet visit and value of the animal. Most of the staff is really nice to work with but this male vet ( who is also a owner) is a joke to deal with. I will never have this clinic treat any of my animals again and if you care about yours, I would advise going elsewhere. Perry vet is now going to be caring for our animals.

I have an 8 year old pit bull and we’ve struggled for 8 years to find a vet who is patient with her AND myself. Macie doesn’t often see new people and has always been very anxious going to new places. Lakewood was so amazing to both of us this morning and I’m emotionally and eternally grateful for our experience. They all used gentle voices and took their time caring for her and I’m so relieved to have a place where I can be so comfortable too! We will be back again!

I cannot say enough about this veterinary business and it’s associates. They are caringand very thorough. On my first visit, Dr. Reynolds diagnosed my chocolate lab with diabetes.I was taking her to Dr. Lopez in Wellsville NY for about a year. He never tested her, in fact, when Imentioned that she drinks a lot of water. His response was “she’s a big dog she will drink a lot ofwater”. Anyone living in Wellsville DO NOT take your pet to Dr. Lopez. If people want a great, reliable,thorough veterinary clinic, go to Rushford Veterinary in Rushford NY.

Staff was friendly, but had a lab puppy there 3 times in one week, claimed they couldn’t find anything wrong with her. Ran all sorts of tests. They just kept saying that she was a picky eater, but she wouldn’t eat anything at all. Cost over $500 just the one week. We took her there on a emergency call Saturday and when we got home not even 10 minutes later she had passed....not very pleased and will be finding a new vet in the future.

I can't express my appreciation enough to Lakewood Veterinary Services. I am not a regular client but I called this morning requesting an appointment to have my old Border Collie euthanized, basically on an emergency basis. They fit me into the schedule within a couple of hours. My old guy and I were treated with kindness,,compassion, and professionalism even though the clinic was working short staffed. The technicians were compassionate as well as skilled and they helped to ensure that my dog's passing was peaceful. Thank you all! You will definitely have my business in the future.

The farm that I work for uses Lakewood and all the vets that have come out to work on our cows are great. Never an issue. So when I was ready to take my dog back to the vet he told me to wait he would have his vet look at her. I've been dealing with Marilyn at lakewood over my dog. She's done everything to help me and my dog from bringing drugs for her to me. Delivering them herself and making time for my dog on her own time off when she aint working.I've never had an issue with this place ever

The receptionist are nice. And that is where the good part ends. The vet that is the owner told me to shut up when I asked what test were administered to determine what was wrong with a group of cattle. The same vet has repeatedly not written down federal identification numbers on health charts to go for interstate health papers and has left blood tests sitting in the refrigerator bc he didn't feel like doing the tests that we had already paid for. I would not recommend him to even treat a worm with a dirt blockage.
