Attention to detail is unsurpassed. We stayed at the Dracula's Fangs cottage. Rooms are amazing! Blown away. The staff we interacted with, which was 2, were friendly. The tub and shower are beautiful and now I need a rain head shower at home. Linen is important to me and boy, this stuff was nice. Lots of pillows and high quality sheets. Towels were soft and plush. We had food and wine we had ordered all set up for us and beautifully presented. Excell time!Nearby activities: Restaurants in town are very nice. Liquor store was never open...

Our anticipation for a unique and cozy stay, fueled by the online presentation of the hotel, was met with disappointment. The first impression at night was enchanting, with the property beautifully lit up, hinting at the magical experience we hoped for. However, this allure faded quickly upon entry.The check-in process was purely transactional, lacking the warmth and personalized touch we sought, reminiscent of a standard experience at chain hotels like Hilton or Hampton Inn, which we usually avoid. There was a notable absence of a welcoming introduction to the property and its facilities. Although the room matched its online depiction in terms of cleanliness and comfort, this did not compensate for the overall experience.Breakfast was a particular letdown. Given the rich local offerings of the Catskills, including bakeries and small businesses, the bagged breakfast was a missed opportunity to showcase local produce. Instead, we received a generic continental breakfast, with honestly terrible croissants and bagels, all wrapped in plastic, contributing to unnecessary waste.The spa services were disappointingly inaccessible, with restrictive booking times that did not accommodate a relaxing experience. Reservation slots are for 45 minutes with the latest slot at 7pm.When we booked the mansion, we were excited about being able to use its common spaces. This is something we typically enjoy when staying at unique hotels/bnbs. However, the lobby was roped off at 8pm, and the furniture and space itself was sterile and uninviting.In summary, it’s clear that significant time and effort were invested by the owners to create something special at the Roxbury. The property truly is unique, but for us, the experience left us with a feeling of unfulfilled potential and an overall letdown.Food & drinks: The bagged lunch was really awful. A missed opportunity to include locally made items from all the wonderful bakeries and farms in the area. Everything is wrapped in plastic generic items from the grocery store.

We stayed the last week of January. The entire property covered in snow looked so beautiful. The mansion was perfect. We stayed in The Beautiful Blacksmith room, and it was gorgeous. The fireplace and soaking tub with views of the property covered on snow were very romantic. We will absolutely be back. The Perfect Romantic getaway. The Roxbury at Stratton Falls literally has it all! You can choose from a plethora of room choices, each a unique master piece in design. Greenery is abundant, and it is a lovely location overlooking the falls. The staff here are extremely helpful as well! Definitely deserves a 6/5.Rooms: We stayed in the faerie forest room, and it was beyond our imagination. It had ample space with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living and dining area, and balconies with a sitting area and beautiful views. Each room had a unique theme relating to fairies and nature,

AMAZING !!! I've never stayed in any hotels/airbnbs like this one. This is now my favorite place to stay when upstate. This is such a unique place. Owners really paid attention to the detail, amazing colors in the lobby/hallways . I love the blue chandeliers !!! Spa was super relaxing, robes/slippers included . Friendly hostess/staff, always smiling. Includes a light breakfast , which I'm totally fine with since I don't eat much in the AM. Coffee/tea/hot chocolate/fruits/cookies/water , all complementary whole day! We stayed in mansion room, next time will for sure rent out a cottage , they ALL look great , not sure which one to even pick!! Can't wait till pool opens up in the summer and everything is green! The only thing is that our room was super dusty, dust on lamps , windows :( once we turned the heater on, dust bunnies just flew out and it wasn't pleasant at that moment, maybe air purifier ? Highly recommend Roxbury ! Will book now for summer before it sells out !

You cannot find a place that will treat you better, or have a better experience than here. Every moment from driving to the property, to walking to your room, to the downstairs that offers fresh fruit and organic teas, candies, views, hiking, pool, a lawn filled with games and places to sit- this place is the Taj Mahal ofHotels. Your rooms are sanitized to a level that makes you feel and know that the owners truly care about you. Closets have the most amazing robes and slippers, bathrooms equipped with everything you could need plus more. I love it here. It’s safe, it’s energizing and inspiring to the soul. We’ve stayed in the cottage mansions and in the rooms at Stratton falls and every time I come- I’m inspired. Thank you so much for this experience!

I absolutely loved every minute of my experience at The Roxbury at Stratton Falls! I stayed at the faerie forest tower cottage and the decoration was breathtaking. The design, attention to detail and cleanliness of the cottage was mind blowing! I truly felt like I transported to a magical fairy forest! Every member of staff I encountered was super kind and helpful and I really appreciate how this establishment ensures that they have cleaned and sanitized everything for their guests. I also purchased a spa pass which can also be used at both hotel locations and it was amazing! They also offer breakfast bags and a nice hiking trail with a waterfall! Be sure to check out their website because it has as lot of helpful information on what the Roxbury has to offer.Just a side note, the reception in the area is not the best so I couldn't really make calls but I was able to text no problem. Also most of the restaurants are not open everyday, so you are a bit limited. However, I had a good dinner at Chappie's 4 min drive away which is open everyday! I can't wait to come back to the Roxbury!!

My fiancé and I stayed in the ethereal Ghost and Mrs. Hicks room for Halloween as a one night treat for ourselves! We were totally enchanted by all the style and decor, it is obvious that so much love and attention to detail was put into this place. Absolutely loved seeing all the seasonal Halloween decorations as well. We really appreciated the vast array of complimentary necessities and conveniences in the room and bathroom. As two introverts who just wanted an entertaining night in to ourselves, it was perfect. All the staff members are so helpful and friendly! And the grounds are beautiful. Be sure to go for a little nature walk by the waterfall before you settle in for the day. We'll definitely be back to experience other rooms! :)

This place is just magical and fun. All the rooms are different themes. We stayed in the Haberdashery room. Every detail is done to the max. Wonderfully quirky and unique.The pool is heated (although a bit cold for October still) but there is a hot tub you can book. They also have a waterfall wall on the property which is quick and lovely. There are a couple restaurants nearby in Roxbury.I can't wait to go back and try out a different room next time.

This is how we #relax at one of the most fun resorts 80 minutes from home in the Catskills! Wow owners, you put so much care & love into every detail at your resort & it truly shows!The Roxbury resort has several buildings, rooms, cabins on the grounds and 2 main locations which are two miles apart. We stayed in the Horizons cabin at Stratton Falls which is Hollywood themed and it’s spectacular.The cabin is set up to look and feel like more of a little 3 stories mansion, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, plus a pullout couch so it sleeps 6 total. 2 back patios on which to sit and enjoy the sound of the falls right outside your bedroom. There’s a kitchen area with table, sink, full fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Delivery of baked goods and/or light breakfast sundries to your door in the morning make this a perfect stay experience!Grounds are spotless and beautiful! Fire pits and fireplaces everywhere with stunning seating areas demonstrate a ton of care owners put in and are both on site daily maintaining all.Crooked Cabana pool, hot tub, sauna is worth the $20 reservation per person per time slot. Bartender and property maintainer at that location is so friendly and professional. The pool was 91° when we visited in May 2022 & was the perfect treat to warm into spring.Thank you for an amazing experience 🧡💚🧡💚🧡💚🧡💚🧡💚🧡

Went for a girls overnight trip from NJ . We were 10 of us and rented the fairies cottage and the Cinderella cottage . We were 5 in each cottage. Cottages are spacious and can easily host 6 each and be comfortable. The details and attention to design is awesome . It’s expensive but so so worth it. I want to come back and see all different rooms as I love to experience different architecture and design details . The falls in the property is another plus .

I was gifted a stay here at the Faerie cottage and it was beyond amazing, really magical! The Faerie cottage was an actual piece of art, so much attention to detail down to even the tiniest touches. We also used the pool and spa, and everything was really well run and sanitary. Everyone who worked there was also really nice and helpful, and the little town it's in is super cute with friendly people. I really hope I'm able to go back someday!

This is a lengthy review but please do stay and read. I booked and stayed with my wife from May 18-20; first night at the Fairy Forest cottage then the second at the Mill of Frozen Falls room at the mansion. We were only able to book one night at the cottage. Where to begin: the cottage was immaculate in every sense of the word. Not a single spec of dirt. They also thought of every detail to really immerse you in the experience of living in a fairy glen. The lighting and faux vegetation felt so cozy and beautiful especially at nightfall when you can really see the beauty of the art they built. The interior architecture from the arches to the room balcony is just lovely. The high ceilings make for great ventilation but also well insulated so it’s not too echo-y. It was rather chilly during the night and so I was so happy with the ease of controlling the temperature and how quickly it adjusted. I love the design details of the bathrooms and access from multiple points for convenience. We didn’t even bother turning off the ambiance music stations they had preselected on the tvs in the den and bedrooms because it was so calming and helped melt away any of your worldly concerns.Naturally, the cottage spoiled me and the Mill of Frozen Falls was not less impressive. The bright clean theme and icicle detail was well designed and beautiful. All accommodations generously provided and immaculate as well.There are numerous quality dining options within a 4 mile radius and they also prepare breakfast to your preference. I would love to return with my family at some point and book at least two nights in the Fairy Forest again but perhaps it’s worth exploring their other beautiful cottage themes as well. It will take you time to decide as they are all phenomenal. Thank you staff for everything!

It is everything you could hope for. Rooms are clean and amazingly designed. Everything is well kept. Rooms come with old fashioned amenities: soap, shampoo, sewing kit, robes, slippers.Really, it was awesome. Breakfast was delicious and easy while being COVID safe. You choose what you want and it is ready at a time you select in a bag in the lobby. Frankly, I'd rather have it served that way all the time.The kitchen has snacks at a reasonable price on an honor system. (We sell the items for more money at our booster club food truck.)Grounds were amazing and what the have done with the falls makes them assessable to all and honors the history of the area.My only hope is that the town picks up. There is a nice liquor store, a general store, and a few good restaurants. I hope some other cool shops come in. We were there in between seasons to be fair.I can't wait to go back.

WOW !! What can I say but WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! This place is a must go . We stayed in the Cinderella suite and it was AMAZING. Not only is this place AMAZING. But the staff !!!! Makes this place amazing as well. Can't say enough good things , all friendly , helpful, caring, knowledgeable of the Roxbury and its surroundings. AND THE CLEANING STAFF , SHOULD BE PROUD OF WHAT THAT DO !!! Spotless . We will be coming back on a regular basis.

We stayed in the Noir Boudoir (a.k.a. the Wendy Addams Room) - AMAZING!! Every where we turned there was something to look at, surprise or scare us, or just bedazzle us! From the buffalo head to the mummy to "Thing" and "Cousins It"...even the counter top in the bathroom and the floor was sparkling! My son loved the mirrors in the upstairs bathroom reflecting each other like a "portal to the unknown". DEFINITELY planning a trip next year, maybe twice; we have 26 more rooms to check out!!

My husband and I stayed at the Roxbury Motel for the first time in September and it was truly an amazing couple of days. With Covid still a concern we didn't want to take a plane and wanted to stay close to home. Greg and Joe and their amazing staff went above and beyond following protocols and sanitizing everything..our room was so clean and so were all the common areas..definitely felt very comfortable..you even had to schedule pool time which we totally embraced..the experience was so incredible that we returned last week and stayed at the Mansion which was an absolute awesome experience...the rooms in the Mansion are absolutely beautiful..you actually don't want to leave!! It was truly the getaway we both needed and moving forward will return to this absolute treasure.. so happy the Roxbury belongs to the wonderful state of New York..and so glad Greg and Joe had such an unbelievable vision ❤️

Beautiful place. First time here and stayed in the Lost Horizon cottage which was fantastic. Whole family loved hanging out in the crows nest watching the first snow of the year fall. Everything about the place is well thought out. The entire property is immaculate and the attention to detail is super impressive. Management went out of their way to assure the guests a clean environment during Covid, which was comforting. We will definitely be back to try out some of the cottages.

Honestly one of the best places I have ever stayed! We enjoyed 2 nights at The Roxbury😊 and wish we could have stayed longer. The attention to detail in the Cinderella's Gown cottage is out of this world. Even the protocols for cleaning and sanitizing during covid is very impressive. The Staff were so friendly and helpful. The walking trail was short but full of adventure and several sitting areas to enjoy the peacefulness of the water.

This is the ultimate spa and relaxation place. The themes of each room or cottage transport you to a different place. It really helps you leave any stress or worries you might have behind.Hearing the natural ambient noise of the waterfall at right behind the Cottages put you at ease for a good night sleep. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and go out their way to make sure that you're comfortable and happy during your visit.You will also be greeted by the owners because they actively work on the grounds. One of them was planting a new bush and stopped to give us directions to help us on our journey.I highly recommend you try the Hot Tub & Sauna and drink after you cool down by the pool side. I could go on and on and on about this place. The level of care put into this place is apparently and you feel the love.But no words I can say will do this place justice You have to experience it for yourself... Do yourself a favor when you have a chance and stop by.... You won't regret it.

The Roxbury Experience was just that over the top !! What a wonderful adventure this was from making my reservation to checking out. I had a few questions planning my trip because it was a mystery trip for my family and everyone was so pleasant and accommodating. I wanted everything to be perfect and it was. From approaching the property, I could see we have entered something special and it was going to memorable. My family and I were like in an adult Disneyland looking all around the grounds which are so well kept and inviting to enjoy. Don't forget about the falls and trails. Our accommodations in The Lost Horizon made us feel like we were in Hollywood. The details to decorate with the Art Deco design from top to bottom was mesmerizing . I ordered a cheese platter and Prosecco for our arrival and it was beautifully put together and ready for consumption. Living in our COVID times they were spot on with being sure you knew everything was sanitized. The beds were very comfortable and having the slider open with the sound of the falls was perfect for lulling off to sleep. The pool wasn't opened when we went but will be back to enjoy that. Don't miss out on an evening stroll to the details in lighting everywhere...look up and look down. We lucked out with beautiful weather so that was a bonus. The staff was friendly and welcoming and you can tell they love working there and having fun as they say. Greg, Joe, staff and contractor.. "Bravo" for keeping with your vision and thank you for sharing. We look forward to coming back for another visit but longer! Soon I hope !!!

My husband and I stayed here for the first time over the weekend. We were so impressed with the whole experience! It is a beautiful, completely unique place with friendly staff. The entire property is a work of art with no details spared. It was by far the cleanest place we ever stayed ! If you told me that we were the first guests to ever stay in our room, we would have believed you...it was that clean and immaculate. We definitely will return again soon and I can not wait !
