My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay here over a family wedding weekend this summer. Casey and the rest of the Main House staff were super friendly and took amazing care of us. The grounds were beautiful with no shortage of activities -- we hiked, swam, and played games to our heart's content. Breakfast each morning was excellent. Evening entertainment was great, with the Tavern boasting an incredible sound system. Finally, the room was nice and we appreciated no TV -- we went on the front porch and read our books listening to the birds instead. We're excited to return on our own and enjoy a weekend away again soon!

Entirely lacked hot water and reliable running water. Towels provided in room were dirty and looked to have been previously used (had hair and toothpaste on them). No soap provided. For the price of this place these details should easily be gotten right.Rooms: Dirty

Beautiful old houses in the fall! They have 3 building, I stayed at the hill top building facing the forest (but there is street across). The place is beautiful with garden in the back, sauna room in the middle of woods and many short hikings, right next to a small fall. You can spend a day exploring this place, there is a local market across the street on the weekends. They also have a delicious restaurant in the house serving dinner and brunch. There is a self served mini store for coffee tea and snack.Note: no wifi in the room (hill top), there is wifi in the restaurant and receptionist area.No tivi in the room, drinking water is outside, there is literally nothing, you just gotta go out and enjoy the nature :).

Loved the barn, hip vibe at this Catskill getaway where you feel like you're an old friend. From the moment I walked in, I loved the music that was playing in the bar, the beautiful scenery, and the private accommodations. This was my birthday getaway; we live by the Jersey Shore. We stayed in the cottages where you get simple, yet clean accommodations, but we loved the deck and the sound of the creek and waterfalls nearby. The guy at the front desk recommended great hiking close by; we went to rips rock which is 5 minutes up the road and surprisingly right on the property there is beautiful hiking and waterfalls too. We especially liked the horseshoe pit and fire pit at night. Becca at the bar was very friendly. Thank you for my birthday drink and finding me a hair dryer 😊. She also talked about the music scene in the summer months on the property and the poolside bar sounds awesome. There was one minor complaint about the cottages where the electrical outlets were not working at first; however Becca very quickly fixed the breaker. I liked the provisions room, but I would recommend having fresh coffee throughout the day. Overall I would highly recommend the Glen Falls House, where you'll find a friendly, hip vibe for a Catskills escape. I can't wait to return.

Would highly recommend you book a stay at The Glen Falls house. It’s an excellent retreat upstate with comfortable and stylish accommodations. My only complaint would be that the door to our room in the main house was quite thin and the footsteps from the hallway are quite loud. You will need earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Dishonest and devoid of any integrity. When angry customers call about their shady business practices they just keep handing you off to different employees, none of which know what’s going on. Stay somewhere else. There are plenty of other places with more personality. I would still love an explanation about your Gofundme scam. I would like a reply

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here a few weeks ago! Cozy atmosphere, warm hospitality, and excellent food at Trotwood! Loved all the details and little touches throughout, like the games in the sunroom, all the plants and cozy couches and fireplaces. Room was simple and comfortable.Wandering along the trails on the property and seeing waterfalls was a peaceful and serene way to connect with nature. In a great location as easy to get to Windham and Hunter. Everyone working there was kind and accommodating. Next time we have to check out the sauna in the woods or come back in the summer to use hang by the pool with some music!

This is an edit - This review by Google was posted for the wrong resort! Please advise this review is for Winter Clove Inn in Round Top at the address of 557 Winter Clove Road. - Anyway here's the review. I hope Google corrects this! - My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. Beautiful, quiet and a spiritual place where we connected with nature. Nice people and a beautiful cat named Clover :) Quaint cozy romantic room, good food and Beth was very accomodating. Very helpful and brought back many memories of my childhood in Round Top and also taking my children. I would like to see the beauty of it in the winter. Thank you!

Make sure you ask if it’s a music weekend… I imagine on non-music weekends this place is a dream. The facilities are beautiful (although the restaurant definitely leaves something to the imagination by way of service) and I imagine we really would have enjoyed ourselves had music not been blasting until 5:30am every morning. While we got an email shortly before our stay stating that there would be a DJ and the hours of music, it would have been the polite thing to do to share that information with us at the time of booking since it wasn’t listed on their site. We also couldn’t have known that when they said there would be live DJs at the pool that it meant the sound would carry straight into every single room as though they were playing a show in our beds… If I were in my 20s and looking to have a raging pool party weekend this would have been great. But this was our anniversary weekend and we were looking for a quiet Catskills getaway to hike, relax and enjoy nature. Instead it was a music festival complete with people camping in tents outside our room. Either way, hospitality wasn’t their strong suit and more times than not we were left to figure things out on our own while the owners and GM hung out by the pool (which like, good for them, but make sure you’re well staffed otherwise?) The woman who answers the phone doesn’t even appear to be on site. When I called to ask about an early check in she said since she’s not on site she doesn’t really know what’s happening there but to just go to the front desk when we arrived. She also quite literally laughed at me when I asked if there was a quiet hour at some point.

Exquisite atmosphere! First time there and I absolutely loved every minute of it. Started out with dinner and had THEEEE MOST delicious vegetable pot pie that I will NEVER forget! Everything was amazing and it was seasoned to perfection!! Cheers to the chef! The staff were amazing! Ended the night by the fire and a dance. Magical it was. Can't wait to go back and explore more!!

This is a beautiful place to disconnect from the world. There are no TVs here. Nor are there any mini-bars or kitchenettes. So, you are dependent on the on-premises restaurant and tavern. There is a swimming pool, but it really isn't open unless you call ahead of time and insist on swimming. This is because they need to call for a lifeguard. There are lots of trails--make sure you check for ticks if you go off trail. It takes a good while (2 hours) to get here from the Newark airport. But, it is worth it if you need to take a break from everything.

Pros! Beautiful place, fun property, nice indoor space. Easy spot to hop to other fun upstate towns. We came on a Sunday/Monday, so didn’t get to really see a lot of the amenities. I would l love to come back here in the summer, def fun summer camp for adults vibes.Cons! Wouldn’t recommend coming on a not very busy day. We stayed in a pretty expensive and kind of dirty room with no heat on a 38 degree night. Also didn’t speak with anyone upon checking in, and didn’t see much of anyone except a really unhelpful kind of dickish dude who when we asked about officially checking in said he was busy counting money. Having someone be so rude after sleeping in a freezing room that made my socks dirty walking around in it for like 200 a night is RUFF. I wanted to talk to someone about it but there was nary a body in sight.

We spent the night here and wow we LOVED it! So relaxing, so perfect for what we were looking for. The people there are SUPER nice and accommodating and the food is amazing! We had dinner at Trotwood which was conveniently right downstairs from our room.Family friendly, pet friendly yet still amazingly relaxing and peaceful! Room was beautiful and very clean. Mattress was great. Just a really cool vibe all around!! We will be back!

Glen Falls House has been a very special place to my now-husband and I since we first visited 5 years ago. The property is beautiful, the staff are wonderful and it quickly began to feel like a home away from home. This all played a big role in choosing GFH as our wedding venue. The process was perfect from start to finish. Almost all vendors/contracts (catering, florals, etc) were offered by GFH, making it a one stop shop and taking so much of the stress that comes along with planning a wedding off of our plate. It was very special to have all of our guests stay at the hotel on-site. Everyone was floored by the hiking trails and waterfalls on property. It felt like adult weekend camp. The most popular advice I received prior to the wedding was to “try to enjoy the moment - things will inevitably go wrong but those things don’t matter”. The funny thing is, literally nothing went wrong, which we owe entirely to GFH. I did not have a wedding planner, as I chose to handle everything myself in tandem with GFH. They went above and beyond: coordinated vendor arrivals, reviewed / edited rental agreements, helped with decor, set all tables, etc. The food was incredible, which you don’t typically hear of weddings. Every single guest commented on how amazing it was. It was truly the perfect weekend and I cannot believe how seamlessly it was all pulled off. Many of our guests (coming from Canada, UK, etc) will be visiting GFH again in the near future. Big love to the GFH team. Will start planning our vow renewal…

I have been going there since I was three. I am in my 50s now and would love to come back. It was wonderful many years ago, just the way they describe it. I loved going there every year. The atmosphere always made you feel like you were at home in the comfort if friends. Will never forget. I post the pictures all the time simply for lovely memories

I loved this place!! we stayed here last weekend. my friend and I were upgraded to a room with two beds for no cost since there was availability and they called to check in on us when we hadn't arrived at the original time we stated. Everyone was so friendly and there was something magical about the whole place. They work with the local produce, plants, and ambiance. We were able to get some local ice cream from the kitchen after it closed too. The beds were so comfortable and soft and the laundry detergent they use for the bedding smells amazing!!!!! I saw previous reviews about the rooms and while yes, they were pretty bare, it was clean and comfortable. They are relatively new from a reboot (i'm pretty sure) so i'm sure those small details will be improved upon. i would come back in the summer 100%!!

Found this place on google map with good rating, beautiful website, nice decoration in the restaurant and the main house, but had a weird feeling that there are no photos of the room that we wanted to book. When we checked in, I realized why there are not photos... the room is small (motel style), there are just two beds, a closet with no door, a bedside table and a smelly old dresser, a super tiny bathroom, and the sink is outside the room???? We are not very happy with the room, but everything else outside the room was fine. The restaurant is decent, the sunroom, the bar room, and the swimming pool are nice. Hope they would improve the rooms to match the price soon 😌

My family and I used to vacation here every summer the last week of July to the first week of August starting in the 1970s, but never again. The new owner completely ruined the home away from home feel we once shared here by doing away with family style dinners and hiking up the prices. The new modern look to the main house and cottages completely changed the atmosphere. We made friendships that became family and we so much looked forward to our "reunions" each year. As a young kid I always imagined my friends and I venturing back to Glen Falls House as I grew older but once the sale went through and the business completely changed I will never have that chance for my friends and family to experience all the joys of the rustic and homey place I once loved. It says something when a child would be more excited to spend a week here, than at Disney World, which was the case for my family and friends. Totally heartbroken and disappointed that the new owner decided to throw away life long customers to make a buck, so sad that 50 years of memories were made, but will no longer continue.

My fiance's family had been going to Glen Falls House for 30 years before the new owners took over. They've done an amazing job rehabbing and breathing new life into the place, but with that said there have been some major oversights in my opinion. The rooms are thoroughly bare and down right uncomfortable!! No TV, speaker to connect your phone, dresser, ice bucket, water cups, rugs or any other basic amenities that you look for in a $200+ a night room. I would absolutely love to come back but for the cost i'd rather rent a house in the area and stop in to enjoy the environment and save myself the discomfort of staying on site. However, they are super human and pet friendly and we loved the food and bar.

Stayed for two nights and was so impressed by the breathtaking rivers and waterfalls that surrounded the property. The place is decorated with cool vintage Nick nacks and they even have an awesome dog named Beau. Really cool that they also have a small general store within the building which has a lot of their home grown or baked goods. I got the pickled carrots.

The staff is soo helpful. We accidentally scheduled incorrect days and the desk person John corrected our days no questions asked. The food at the restaurant attached was great and the space was extremely chill. We had some wonderful tea before bed and had a relaxing stay. There is a constant sound of a waterfall in the property which is insanely relaxing.

Beautiful location in the Catskills. Super friendly staff. Great attached restaurant, and a fun bar across the street. Amazing swimming hole just minutes away. Perfect spot for a quintessential Catskills escape. I can't wait to come this winter for a ski trip.

This is a truly special place, I have been enjoying Round Top at Glen Falls house since 2017. It is aone stop shop for total relazxation or activity, whichever you care to indulge.Just finished up my wedding weekend here where I was able to share its splendor with friends and loved ones all on preoperty. We were able to host all our guests in the hotel and make use of all the manities making it a destination for years to come for our families in Canada and New England. The resources available at Glen Falls House make it very amenable to whatever the situation dicates. The food was specacular at the wedding, as well as the brunch menu. When we left sunday we were unable to indulge on the taqueria they had just started up byt he pool fo rall day fun. But the propreitors have dones a wodnerful job offering a piece of solace for hikers, bikers, and vacationers alike. It has. and will continue to be, a part of my life
