I wish I could leave 0 stars… I’ve had bad experience after bad experience at My Market. Their cashiers are extremely unhelpful, inconvenienced, and overall not happy to do their jobs. During my last two trips to the store, both cashiers couldn’t even muster a hello. Even upon asking a question I was ignored or received a scowl. I fully understand dealing with the public can be difficult. However, an attitude will warrant an attitude. I at least expect some basic politeness. I will not be shopping here in the future.

Great little grocery store. Not a huge variety but if you're not too choosy they have one of everything you need. Some organic produce. All with that funky Rosendale vibe.

I'm giving two stars only because they carry a few local products I really like...but you will pay top dollar for these, and most everything else in the place. Beware of their pre-made deli items, especially the wraps. Got a really disgusting one the other day. It was obvious upon unwrapping it the night I bought it that the roast beef was half rotten 🤢....To be fair, the more expensive sandwich I also purchased was decent...but still. I'm turned off. Also, check out the "sell by" date on the packaging 👀👀👀. Who keeps roast beef on a roll around for that long??? I'm gagging

Emanuels was a great grocery store; My Town Marketplace is not. The previous managers/owners made the store easy to navigate, had quality products, took requests, had a friendly staff and always made me feel respected as a loyal customer. I actually looked forward to shopping every Thursday, which I did for over a decade. The new management is impersonal and won’t even talk to me if I have an issue. I have started to drive the extra miles to go to Adams in Kingston since they are kind to their customers and generous with the community. Wednesday nights are 10% off the entire purchase. Maybe my new nickname will be Wednesday instead of Thursday.

I wish I could like this place Because it's so close and convenient but I only go here in a pinch. I have gotten food poisoning from eating the produce from here twice. I find that you pay a lot of money for moldy products that are not fresh compared to other markets.

Lots of upgrades, frequent sales that provide great value. Some of the weekly advertised sale items are only available at the Stone Ridge location. Always get and check your receipt as there are frequent check out errors that over charge or miss sale pricing.April 2024. Quick stop for emergency cat litter. 🙀💩Store continuesly upgrades to include more vegan, organic and higher end groceries. Noticed today when I got home that the on sale green onions (scallions) had the roots cut off. This practice decreases the shelf life and they will spoil much faster. It is definitely worth while to check their weekly ad for sale pricing. I save an average of @ $32.00 each trip. As a veteran I get a 5% discount on Tuesdays. The best deal is family Thursday where you can get 10% off on larger orders.I would point out that Adam's in Kingston provides a 10% discount every day for veterans and their produce is both a higher quality and more diverse.

This little gem of a market always has a good selection of food and produce. It's not a super-duper size but it's clean and well-stocked. Their deli department is great. Their subs and sandwiches are a good deal and always well made and delicious. Friendly. Highly recommend.

Very upset right now. Wish I could give 0 stars. We loved that we have a market in town now, but the employees couldn’t be more rude. My son and husband went down to the Rosendale Market to grab cold cuts. They are standing in line behind some people who are being helped at the deli. After their turn is up, my husband goes up and the guys rudely says “Closed”. My husband says what do you mean I’ve been standing here for 7 minutes waiting behind people that were actively being helped? The guy says “Oh well, tough luck”. My son then asks if he could just get us a few things so we can have dinner. He raises his voice at my 10 year old son, and my husband almost loses his cool. I’m appalled that people still act like this. Mind you, I will never buy anything from here ever again. This store needs to let the deli guy go before they lose more good customers. Disgusting.

Mytown market places are a serious wonderful blast from the past! They they’re best to give us good prices good service and keep the shelves stocked-so you can find almost anything there. And it’s a family run business and you can feel the warmth. It’s a welcoming place to shop not to mention their deli Food is amazing!

The manager (fat guy with beard) is consistently rude every time I go, and everything here is overpriced. All the other workers are incredibly nice, always ask if I need help finding stuff, etc. They’re the only reason this got a second star.

Used to be a good grocery store when it was part of the community as Emmanuel’s. I’ve been shopping there for 17 years, and returned an item maybe once and without receipt and unquestioned. Today, 3/1, I tried to return cottage cheese that I bought on 2/19 that should not have expired before 3/16. My husband found it soured and instinctually threw it out. I brought the container to the store and Lisa, one of the new owners, said, I can’t, we don’t do that, it’s empty. Understandable response when you don’t know your shoppers or community. Not the first time I have purchased an early expy item from them, just the first time I brought an item back. Unbelievable. Did she reallly think I went to the trouble to bring to an empty container back because I ate it and thought I could pass it off? NOT MyTown Marketplace. A downgrade to an upscale area for sure.

The deli dept. Has a wonderful cook named John, I have eaten his food many times and I have always loved every bit, Today I had his absolutely delicious Easter pie and several Authentic and delicious rice balls , absolutely fantastic. Try some for yourself you will not be disappointed. 👍👍👍

First visit and was pleasantly surprised. Very clean and organized store. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Side note - this store provided residents at a local senior housing complex gift cards for the holidays - that alone is enough to get my business.

I've been shopping here for a while now and it's a good place to shop. They are somewhat pricey but they always hire nice employees. Never had any issue with their meats or produce either. When my father and I went through rough times, this place was where we shopped. They have family meal plans where you get a TON of meat or chicken for a great price. We survived because of this spot.

Had 2 go get a few items needed 4 a meal I was making & found them; however, the price was un4tunately outrageous, yet I really didn't have a choice. I don't particularly go 2 this store often unless I'm in a desperate crunch 4 time bcuz 99% of the time the prices r extremely high.

So much better than the store it replaced. Store always feels clean, fully stocked, and good variety. Prices on most things are only a tiny bit over big market stores. But prices on meat are constantly cheaper. Usually $1-2 less per lb compared to hannafords.

Nice local grocery store. The deli is great and the deli staff are awesome. Very nice people. They have a Meat deal that you can get different meat for cheap but you buy a bunch. I like it because it's local and they have pretty much everything on my grocery

It’s really a little gem with competitive pricing to the big stores. It’s a combination of Hannaford and mother earths and it’s quickly becoming my go to.I am coming back on here 9/7/2020 to edit my review. I still go here. I still love it. Ive never had a problem with anyone here not complying with masks, etc. The workers are nice. I have had them go out of their way to make sure I could find what I needed. Its a great store.

Such a disappointing experience! I try to support my community market, but after this experience with a novice manager, I definitely will shop elsewhere. The manager has a lot to learn about politeness with a customer! He was rude, and even raised his voice to me in front of his staff and other customers!! WOW!!I bought organic milk that spoiled a WHOLE month before it's due date, I used 3/4 of it and because of that the manager refused to even try to make it up to me, he said the problem was with my refrigerator! I told him the whole milk I bought the same day was still good and that I had paid for 4/4 of organic milk, he sarcastically offered to pour the bad milk in a container to take with me! He said I should take it up with the manufacturer, not his problem. Not even an explanation of probable store policy on returned items, some explanation in a professional way, but instead he was rude, unprofessional and aggressive!

Times are hard for everyone now adaysMoney is tight gas 5.00 a gallon. My town market Will NOT take. Any penny's as currency. With name ,address and phone number on rolled coins becouse they have no way to weight them ??? .How ever doller genral will take pennys for food. Just not a lot .

My Town Marketplace is a small grocery store with big potential. The store is wonderfully put together with a country feel. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. This store carries items bigger stores don't. Come and see for yourself this diamond in the rough in beautiful Rosendale, NY

Small grocery store. Was on my way home and needed a few items. Place was well stocked and prices were okay but even after all these years the building is still dingy. The business is kept reasonably clean, but that's not the impression you get because of the buildings condition. Staff was friendly.

My experience was awful. I got to the market and went straight to the deli. Didnt even get my cart. Got to the deli at 5: 32. I tried to place an order and the man behind the counter said NO. I said" its 2 minutes past, everything is still out. " he laughed and said "half hour before closing". This wouldn't be so bad if he hadn't done the same thing last week. This is when I can get there with my schedule, and I try to shop locally. Because of this person, I wont any more. And knowing you now own Emmanuels, I'll think twice before shopping there.

As a long-term visitor to Rosendale, I appreciate this store's convenient location and friendly staff. It is clean, organized, and has a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, frozen and canned goods, and even paper items, and there's a deli that offers specialty subs. They also offer organic soaps, hand-painted coasters, and other gift-y items. This has become my go-to grocery store during my stay in Rosendale!!

Kudo's to the new butcher, meats are extremely well done and there are some great deals to be found. This is now my go to place when I am anywhere close to Rosendale. Definitely not the largest selection, but what they have is top notch at reasonable or better prices. Keep up the great work!

A bit of background- I have over a decade of various grocery store experience.I was recently shopping at My Town Marketplace in Rosendale, NY located in the old Fann's plaza. I was near the deli section shopping when I observed a stern middle aged man with dark thinning hair berating a middle aged female deli employee with brown hair in a most unprofessional manner.Apparently she had gotten a minor detail of a sandwich she had made wrong, which I know from personal experience to be an easy error to correct. It seemed that this man yelling viciously at her was just yelling for the sake of yelling. The whole situation was appalling and made myself, and it would appear the other customers present very uncomfortable.After this episode ended I tried to get some context for what I had just observed. It turns out that the man yelling is the stores owner, a man named Albert (try as I might I couldn't get a last name). The woman he was screaming at (on the SALES FLOOR I can't stress that enough) was the deli manager. So the store owner, Albert Something, berated this poor woman publicly on the sales floor of his own store for a really minor mistake that she was apparently in the middle of fixing before he even opened his mouth. I'm glad to report that this woman walked out after this horrendous display lacking in all professionalism from Albert the stores owner.I'm glad to report that an acquaintance of mine has seen this woman working again so at least she didn't get fired. However the sight of the stores owner tearing into one of his department managers ON THE SALES FLOOR to the point where this poor woman walked out was all I needed to decide to never return to this store as long as it is under it's same management. I've seen good grocery store managers, and bad grocery store managers, but nothing like this. I genuinely feel pity for the poor souls that work for this total jerk.And remember that this disgraceful display was all over a minor and easily corrected error in the making of a single sandwich. I strongly encourage anyone who cares about the employees at My Town Marketplace in Rosendale, NY to avoid the place like the plague if they can. I have already switched to a different grocery store and even though it's annoying to commute to go food shopping it's worth it to not support the jerk who owns My Town and his despicable behavior.
