I came one a Sunday with four friends and had one of the best experiences ever. The woman who helped us was so accommodating and helpful. Every request we had was met with such generosity and kindness. There is a small lake with chairs by it that’s beautiful to sip by along with a larger lake that events are held by once the weather gets warmer. The tasting was $15 which included bread and cheese and an extensive list of wines. I promise that I will be back. An incredible experience and I cannot recommend it enough!!

Stumbled upon this delightful spot while visiting the finger lakes region. The setting was idyllic, with charming lake views. For $15, we enjoyed a wine tasting that included bread, cheese, and a wide variety of wines to choose from. The service was exceptional, thanks to Tony, who took the time to learn about our preferences and provided tailored recommendations, enhancing our experience. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

Wine club pick up which we are wine club members. Enjoyed some great wine, cheese and crackers as well as some bacon chili. Everything was perfect. They had a very busy weekend but were on their a game with service and a smile and laughs. Stephanie is always there with a smile and glad to see everyone. Well worth the visit. Also the summer visits are great. They have bands and a food truck and a great view of cayuga lake besides.

This place, WOWW!!!! The service for tastings and accommodations were perfect! The waiter(Tony) knew his wines and gave the best recommendations for food pairings. The wine is great and definitely something for everybody!The cabins are absolutely gorgeous and we had everything we needed! The staff(Debbie) went above and beyond to make sure all night and throughout the morning we were taken care of! Highly recommend staying here and getting to know the staff! A very welcoming winery.

Five Stars For StephanieBeen coming to buttonwood for a while now and usually when we visit it’s to pick up our quarterly boxes, and the last two times we’ve have Stephanie as our sommelier and each time she has been phenomenal! Some of our best recommendations has come from her to the point where we end up walking away with an extra half dozen bottles due to her recommendations. We absolute love this Long Island girlie and we look forward to many more tasting and recommendations from her.

We stayed in the Riesling cabin and it was awesome. The grounds are beautiful, the cabin was super cute, and the wine was great. Their location was very centralized and good for exploring the area. Highly recommend! And the ladybugs were friendly! 😉Rooms: The cabin was clean and super cute!Nearby activities: We drove to Seneca Falls and Auburn. Short drive and well worth the adventure. Recommend visiting the Harriet Tubman house and walking around Seneca Falls.Safety: Not even a thought about not feeling safe!

Came out to celebrate my 50th birthday on a whim at the end of this season. We have never had more fun or have been treated better. Special kudos to Tony & Debbie. Will definitely come back. A one stop shop for sure, you don't even have to leave the property, they have everything! Best wine and service ever! Hands down. Our favorite! Thank you for a memorable birthday!

My Wife and I were stopping as part of The Cayuga Lake Wine Trail Sweet Treat for your Sweetheart Event. We were on our second stop of ten and looking forward to sampling more wines of the area. The way we were received when we arrived was nothing less than shocking. We walked in the front door and waited next to the entry counter only to be yelled at by a lady from across the room telling us to go outside and walk around the building and downstairs past numerous caldrons to get to where the wine tastings were happening. Mind you the room we were waiting in when she yelled was full of customers being served and we were treated like we were asking for a free meal instead of like the paying customers we are. We finally got to where the tasting was supposed to happen and found it to be a room that was not large enough to get into let alone stand comfortably and taste wines. With a line stretching out the door and we left immediately. We patronised many establishments today and were treated exceptionally well and will return to those places in the future. To say it was appalling is an understatement.

I can’t say enough good things. Beyond the stunning location and excellent wines, June took our experience over the top - we are still talking the next day about how much fun she was and how she just truly made our day. The Skaneateles Riesling and Gewürztraminer (styles I’m not usually drawn to as a bold red drinker) were outstanding. A trip to the Finger Lakes without a stop here is a wasted trip. Thanks for such a great time!

Probably the best winery that we visited in Finger Lakes Valley. Great view, great patio, live music, quite ambience, great service! They are fully taking care of you following your picky choices. And the wines are great, with many interesting experimental types. Also you get complimentary cheese and bread. Felt like I’m half and half in a winery/brewery;)

My friends and I booked the Fireside Tasting Experience and luckily the rain held off so we could enjoy some fire and wine.The location has a beautiful porch facing the lake that was enjoyable even in the wet, cool weather.The wines were delicious but what really highlighted the experience was our host Diana. She was delightful and made us feel like queens for the tasting. Thank you, Diana!My favorite wine was the Pinot Gris. I can’t wait for some warmer weather to enjoy my bottles I brought home!

Absolutely wonderful wine tasting experience. The weather was perfect so sitting outside looking at the views of the lake and the green pasture was great.The wines themselves were delicious and surprisingly good! The rieslings and the cab franc were standouts.Tony was our server and his table side manner was impeccable. He was funny, engaging and really took his time to establish rapport, talk about the wine, talk about the winery and it’s grapes. I liked the experience so much I signed up for the wine club almost immediately. Most of my experience with wine tasting has been on the west coast and this was definitely an outstanding experience.

I don’t often give reviews on google maps but this winery was so good that it deserved it. My fiancée and I came here after tastings at two other wineries and this one stands fat above the others. The wines are delicious and intentional, the knowledge is impressive, and the service is phenomenal. We cannot suggest this winery any more to someone who visits Ithaca or the finger lakes region.

A very nice winery with a large selection of wines. Sweet-dry, sparkling. Even an ice wine. They were pretty busy on a Monday afternoon, so service was a little slow. Received some bread and cheese to go with the tasting, which was 5 wines, 1 chosen for you. Atmosphere was great. Outdoor seating for those nice days.

We have been coming to this winery for 8 years. My daughter and her husband are members (No more) of their wine club. Today I brought 16 of my friends to taste their wines. There was no one sitting at any of the inside tables & only a few people sitting outside. 5 people wanted to taste and were asked if we had a reservation. We did not know we needed one otherwise I would have called. The girl at the hostess station was so rude. She said that she didn’t want to seat us. I am sure people do this all the time and show up without a reservation. She should have offered for us to buy a bottle of wine and sit on their deck. Instead she lost a sale and any potential new ones. I was so embraced in front of my friends. We have been to several wineries this weekend and none of them have made us feel like our business was not wanted. We’ll spend our money elsewhere

Worked with Jenna to plan the most amazing proposal for my girlfriend from states away. She was thoughtful and worked hard to help me bring my vision to life especially since I wasn’t local. We rented the outdoor private space which was perfect for a time apart with our family to celebrate after the engagement. They provided affordable rates including drinks and catering packages. Amazing views of the vineyards as well as the lake. Would 100% recommend the Buttonwood team for planning an event or just coming through for wine tasting! Just cruising the lake and taking in the view, the signs for wineries where so impactful, that I had no choice but to conclude we were destined to get into one and this was the one. It was a great choice. We were attended to by the manager who was happy and a delight to learn from. The wines presented to me were very likable and my companion was content with her recommendations. It was a cool overcast day so we did not spend much time outside. A deck with empty tables looked out over the vineyard to the lake. Fall was reflected all over but still some roses in bloom on the property. I did not explore the cabins but if I have reason to return to the area I think I will.

This was our first time at buttonwood, and after a day of visiting other winery’s in the area hands down buttonwood was the winner! Tony was absolutely wonderful and so knowledgeable he made our entire experience. He took his time and really explained the wines, and the history of the winery and suggested some great options for our tasting. We will 100% be back!

The value you get from the $12 tasting for five wines is phenomenal. They have a large selection of reds and whites, and they provide a generous portion of complimentary cheese and fresh baked bread. The seating area is wonderful, it's covered with tables and chairs and has plenty of shade while having a great view of the vineyard and Cayuga Lake. This was my favorite vineyard on our short trip just because of the atmosphere and excellent service. They really let you take your time with your tasting and make you feel welcome.

My mom organized a couple’s shower wine tasting for my finance and I last weekend at Buttonwood to celebrate our upcoming wedding. The staff at Buttonwood went above and beyond in making us feel special and helping my mom’s vision come to life. Beyond having a beautiful new outdoor space for tasting and some of the best wine in the region, it’s the people at Buttonwood that really make it stand apart for an event like this. We worked with Stephanie and Bonnie throughout the day. They were both incredibly thoughtful, sweet and fun. They felt like our own family there celebrating! Leading up to the day Jenna was so helpful working with my mom as she scheduled and coordinated with the winery. She set up flowers and a beautiful setting for the day. In all, I cannot recommend this winery enough if you’re looking to host any type of celebration. They really create a space that makes you feel celebrated.
