My boyfriend went to take our dog to get prescription for his monthly heartworm, flea and tick preventative and he told me how this old white man receptionist was being rude towards him when he was asking simple questions regarding my dogs preventatives. And that the receptionist also seemed like he didn’t want to interact with my bf who is a CUSTOMER because he is a person of color?… like is this the 1950s?? And they also had a set up in the corner of the store when it should be inside a room like any other vet facilities. 0/10 smh. I do not tolerate disrespectful or racist behavior. Petco do something.

⚡Lisa - Their the spot to get all your pet supplies from. Their staff is fast, efficient and helpful. They're also very knowledgeable about animals. All kinds. They have a large selection of products for your pets. They even let your pets inside the building. And the pets like it, their very well behaved in the store. Nice!- Lisa Lichelle 🤠

I ordered a Fluval 307 online to be picked up in the store. When I got to the store, the young lady had a hard time finding my order. She finally sees a garbage bag with my name and hands it to me. I said to her, "this can't be it". It was a Fuval 307 loose inside a garbage bag. I asked her where the box was and why I was getting one that looked to be a return. A manager came over and said their policy was to take stuff out of the box because of people stealing. I told him that does not make sense to give a customer merchandise taken out of the box and put into a garbage bag especially it was a Christmas present. Buyer beware.

The employees weren't super helpful. They had a good variety of items and my dog enjoyed the trip very much so! We bought matching sweaters and they are simply adorable. Got lots of compliments!

Had our dog groomed here. The staff was friendly and took great care of our dog. They had him ready when expected and there were no surprises in cost or anything else. Our boy came back looking very fresh and smelling nice and clean. Bently was fully wiped out after his pampering though and needed a nap on the couch as you can see. He such a good boy. Great job by the groomers there. Thanks a bunch! We will be back.

Roseann has been grooming our pug Max since he was a puppy. He is always excited to visit her, tail wagging. She does a great job and his coat glows. She also grooms our older Boston terrier Indy, clipping and grinding his nails. Both dogs look great after a visit with Roseann.*Update, although both the dogs mentioned in this review have crossed the rainbow bridge we continue to bring our dogs to Roseann. She does a great job.

I was sold a salt water shrimp. A cleaner fish. When I purchased I was told if it didn’t live I could receive a refund. It does in a day. When I came back I was told by the cashier that, yes, I would receive a refund. As my refund was being processed the manager came over and “qualified” their refund policy as not including saltwater fish.For the first time after being told twice there was no qualification and as my refund is being processed I was told not applicable. Before writing this review, I reached out to Petco’s customer service and received generic responses. I understand corporate policy regarding saltwater. But the lack of complete training of your employees so as multiple employees don’t understand the qualification and leads to misleading customers is not cool.I recently learned that Petco has a habit of obtaining saltwater fish from vendors that does not properly acclimate them. Resulting in a short life cycle.Petco lost a customer that spent approximately $500 to set up the saltwater system and otherwise had nice experiences with the customer service. All for the sake of a corporate policy that only the manager knew about and a $45 shrimp. Nice work.

They refused to sell me a 29¢ goldfish because I wouldn’t buy a 20 gallon tank. For one single solitary goldfish as a pet for my daughter (they “care about the animals” lmao yea right. a feeder goldfish that costs a quarter? UPSELLING.) Talk about holier-than-thou 🙄 I went to Petsmart and they sold me a goldfish in a bag like normal people.

The bettas and employees here are great! The fish are well-kept and clean. If you see a betta in a dirty container, they'll be cleaned soon without worry!

Had a great experience in the Rocky Point location today. Anderson came right over asking if I needed assistance. 30 years having pets never been asked if I needed help in any box store . I needed to find a specific vet reccomended food for my sick kitty. He was extremely helpful and kind, also reccomended some other choices of cat food as well. Great employee Petco, don't lose him!

Alexa was super kinda and did a fantastic job. Everyone else working was also super nice and helpful like Johnny. Whoever was working the counter 9/14 around 3:15-3:30 was super sweet she helped me a lot as I was being dragged out by my 2 dogs

This Petco in particular is a joke. Over the summer I went in to get my kids a goldfish. I have tanks at home from all my past fish and management wouldn’t sell me a 5.00 fish unless I bought at least a 65.00 take from them at the time so they can assure the fish is ok… I walked out given I have two 25’gallon tanks already. Fast forward to today I go in to get a gerbil , who is already in a super tiny cage with no wheel or toys and I pick out a cage thatcomes with everything included. When I go ask for help with the gerbil the manager tells me he won’t sellMe the gerbil unless I buy one of the more equipped cages… the cage I had was already equipped and large and way bigger then what they had the poor thing in. This place is a joke.They don’t have the fish or animals in mind they just want you to purchase the expensive stuff meanwhile they still sell the “poor quality” cages anyways. Makes no sense. Done shopping there

I bring my girls here often because it's across the street to get some sensory exhaustion. This location is probably the better Petcos in the area however it could be cleaner. A lot of the end caps and lower metal shelving are filthy and my girls are obsessed with the smells of dogs urination. This store can be a lot cleaner. Always have U boats of food and merchandise, no matter the time or day. The old cat adoption area which hasn't been used in some time needs to be removed. Depending on what your buying, you need to compare to Amazon or Chewy or Petsmart to save.

After grooming my dog by myself for the last 6 years I needed eye surgery and lost my vision. It became more difficult to groom my dog especially his nails. My Max has very difficult nails to cut and always comes out bleeding no matter where I take him, even the vet! We saw Alexis on our first visit, Max and I were both very nervous. Alexa was absolutely wonderful, very sweet and patient and really did her best to try to help us make our appointment during a lot of back and forth with the vet and getting immunizations. I finally got them it was a great experience. Thank you Alexis!!

I came into the store looking for a very specific type of product for one of my dogs (eye wash). My confidence in finding what I sought was rewarded by the ease in which I found the product and the options that were available so that I could get the right one. The checkout experience was top-notch as always.
