Amazing place full of birds you feel like you are in the Amazon in Brasil. There are so many types of parrots and small birds and they also have fish, snakes, ferrets, mice, bunnies. We enjoyed being here.

Highly recommend! I purchased an Amazon parrot from Marc, after finding his store online. I am located in South Mississippi and i couldn’t be happier with the entire process from purchasing the parrot, Marc answering all of my questions and shipping him to me. I reached out to him on Monday and by Thursday I had a parrot! Rodger the parrot; is healthy, beautiful and we love him already. Marc answered all of my messages via email very quickly, and provided shipping/flight details as soon as he received them- this was a huge plus for me! He definitely made a lifelong customer.

I have been a visitor and a customer of Parrots of the World for 40 years. Yesterday, I bought my 4th bird from Marc and would never consider buying from anyone else. Marc is one of the most knowledgeable, helpful, caring and honest people in the industry. Not only did he spend an incredible amount of time answering all of my questions about transitioning my new bird to living with an older bird, he kept the birds with him for the day to watch their interaction to make sure it was an appropriate pairing. Two years ago, Marc went above and beyond when my Green Cheek Conure was gravely ill, keeping his store open late so I could borrow a heat lamp and reaching out regularly, on his own accord, to both myself and my avian vet about the bird's condition and prognosis. I have learned so much from speaking with Marc over the years and from listening to him interact with his other customers. You will not find his depth of knowledge and love of animals any place else. Parrots of the World is an amazing store and Marc Marrone is a wonderful human being!**Make that my 5th bird! Just purchased an amazing Caique!

We found out this store from Google and it was amazing to see such an awesome collection of exotic birds, fish and small mammal. Store was clean and organized. Pets are in great healthy conditions. We got a beautiful and healthy young parrot and the owner Mac helped us set up the nursery cage exactly as the baby bird needs to learn climbing, perching, foraging, and weaning was fast and easy with Marc’s expertise. You get what you paid in here. Not the cheapest on products, but they do offer quality pets, services and vast amount of care knowledge. You can always come and check out new birds toys, accessories and glooming etc. it’s a clean and huge pet store, not an easy job! Such a happy place to be for kids and adults.

Bought a blue male parrotlet from this store, The man was very happy to inform me and gf that it was 4 weeks old us not knowing any better purchased it for 400 dollars about what our other parrotlet costed. Took him the vet a week after purchasing paid about another 400 dollars forthe vet to take tests and tell us the bird was malnurished and shouldnt be eating the food the man gave to us, Not only that but he put the id band so far on his leg that the vet said it could kill in the future, that cost us another 45 dollars to have removed. Came home today to find him dead in the cage. Quick google search shows that parrolets shouldnt be sold unless they are 20 weeks old 12 to 14 at min. He took advantage of us not knowing anybetter and if we didnt take him to the vet we would have thought it was our own fault. Would never buy another bird or any animal from this store ever again.

Very good store. Has everything you need for your bird. The owner is super nice and will give you all of the answers you need when caring for your bird including if your bird is breeding. Also I recently bought a beautiful little red factor canary from here. He is sweet, healthy, and sings beautifully. The owner will always make sure to sell you a healthy bird. Worth every penny.

I came to this store last April to purchase a hedgehog. Within a couple of months she was severely ill. Thousands in vet bills, 2 cat scans, 6 months of antibiotics and she never recovered. Vet informed me that last three hedgehogs they treated all had respiratory diseases and all three died. All three were purchased here. I also suspect she had WHS as she began to have symptoms of that as well. In the end after all that I still lost her. I went to Mark because I really thought he cared for the animals seeing him on TV. He sent me home with ferret food for her. Even that was wrong. They shouldn't have the same diet at all.

We had an amazing experience there last December. My son had been wanting a bird for a long time but I wasn't sure I wanted to commit. Marc was amazing, he introduced us to all these different birds and made us comfortable holding them. Long story short, he worked with us for several weeks until we found the right bird for our home. He was so patient, understanding, and accommodating. Four months later we are very happy with our cockatiel!

I wish I could rate it lower but unfortunately Google doesn’t allow no-star reviews. Essentially every animal is kept in a cage too small. The worst part is the axolotl’s that are missing limbs and invested with fungal infections. If you have any heart, don’t give this business anymore money. They’ll only use it to put more animals in deadly conditions. They’re just another exotic store doing less than the bare minimum to make the maximum profit while having no concern over animal welfare.

They sold me a sick kitten. I should’ve brought him back…he was having stomach issues within three weeks of having him but I grew attached to him. Long story short the amount of vet bills, and time to take care of his diabetes was overwhelming.

Mark, the owner, clipped my birds wings and claws and sanded down his beak so he could eat better, he did a wonderful job for an excellent price! All the birds that were in cages in the store welcome you and if you take that time to talk to them they really listen and it’s so sweet!

Absolutely horrendous conditions. For almost every species of animal kept in this hellscape. This place needs to be shut down. If you don't have enough people or capital to keep your animals in enclosures that provide the bare-minimum, you need to lower your inventory or hire more help. I have kept $20 insects in living conditions that are a million X better than where this man keeps $1000+ birds. And have seen conditions at least 10x better at PetCo. Not to mention that the prices are ridiculous, especially considering most of the animals have clearly come from mill-like conditions. Illness looks to be rampant. Don't be surprised if your animal is dead a month or sooner after purchasing from here. Talked to some reputable keepers in the community & apparently the owner has a history of racist outbursts toward customers, theft via overcharging/scanning the same product multiple times, & animal neglect & abuse. Anyone who has purchased a bird here would be sick to know how much this guy paid for the ill, mite & feces covered, bird he sold them. Do yourself a favour and buy from a reputable breeder that has an interest in selling you a healthy, thriving animal. This man is taking advantage of novice keepers limited knowledge. He will say anything to get your money & then get you out the door.

I want to say thank you so much for our parrot. My kids and I bought a small hand trained green-cheeked conure at the end of September. This is a beautiful healthy bird. He is now 15 weeks old and has learned to say “Hi Richie!” We love him very much❤

I bought my ferret from here In February of 2020. He’s been perfectly healthy, hilarious and an absolute bundle of JOY!!! I received top notch service when there, before picking out my baby Thor- the staff member handed my siblings and I all different ferrets and told us to have fun/feel free to pick up which ever ones we were interested in. The process was super easy and the price could not be beat! (Ferret, cage, food, + a bunch of extra necessities) for $375 is a STEAL!! 10/10 would recommend this place!

Bought 2 sprays of millet $1.5 each and 2 bags of seeds for $5.99 each. The owner charged me for 3 of each.It would make sense to charge 3 of the millet sprays by accident if he was blind, but two large bags of seeds should’ve been obvious. There was no one in the store either, so he was not distracted.The store is so scummy and the owner is a penny pinching con artist. Never going here to buy again.

It's an amazing and great place to come see, buy things at, or to ask any questions. Mark and his staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They have a great and huge variety of birds and a beautiful selection of fish. They have a very nice mini petting zoo area which is nice to go and also check out as well as see the other types of animals that he has.

i got a sun conure 4 years ago. his name was cosmo and he was so cute and tame, even though we didnt train him. he unfortunately passed away a few days ago. but if you’re reading this trust me GO THERE. it was a few miles away but worth it. you have variety and all of the birds are healthy. i hope you find the pet of your dreams there :)

This store is fantastic! Back in the early 80`s I bought two conures there. One maroon bellied conure lived a ripe old age, her son lived to 27. The owner is great, the staff knowledgeable, and the birds and other animals are healthy and well socialized. Years ago we used to make the 3 plus hour one way, trip every few years just for the experience to visit and handle all the beautiful and friendly birds.
