They closed the store 10 minutes earlier than advertised. I really had to make this emergency run. If I would've known I would have went to the other store which closes at 9pm.Why would u close at 850pm.Guess this store doesn't need customers to survive.

They got a nice selection of products in this location, especially the beverages and the paper goods [paper towels, napkins, toilet paper] plus various snacks and ice cream. The store staff are fairly helpful too; I never had any problems/issues with them and they never gave me any hard time or attitude too. I've been in this location 4 times in the past 3 years.

Says closed at 10pm on Google but doors was locked at 9:45pm. Also store hours should be located on the door of the establishment so that people can officially know the hours of operation. I could see through the glass on the door and see Staff was counting down the register and they just stared at me even when I was making hand gestures to ask if they were closed.

Should be 4 1/2 stars. Only drawback was returns and other items were all over the store. Not a lot but enough to block what you are really looking for. Staff is great and friendly. One that helped me was especially helpful. This (86th St) store has a much wider selection than the Family Dollar further up (approximately 112th Street) Rockaway Beach Blvd.

I can’t say enough about this location in rockaway... fantastic. The female that was there on Christmas Eve should be given a raise! Very helpful and was concerned about organizing and making sure the customers were satisfied! On Christmas Eve where most people Would be angry they had to work all alone! Thank u for being open! Take care of that employee!! She is a gem

This place is very badly managed the manager has no foresight of what to do it's a shame. You stand in line for at least 20 minutes only one register is open. It's a shame poor management. The manager walks around with a phone in her hand hoping her boyfriend will call her. It's a shame because the other Family Dollars are usually will run.

I love Family Dollar for its deals but the service is horrible. Everytime I go into this store and the one, Rockaway Beach blvd their is always a long line and the people that work at these two locations have horrible customer service skills. All the employees in each store need to be retrained in customer service or thet just need to hire new people. So the 5 stars is just for the good deals that I get when I go to Family Dollar not the servie.

The manager is a wonderful woman, so helpful. She will go far out of her way to make sure customers are served well. I probably wouldn’t go in there so much except I know she’s there. :-)

This location is a big mess, it is giving family dollar a very very bad reputation.Expired foods, damaged goods on the shelves for sale regardless.Arrogant manager, staff with attitudes, no organization.Same item displayed in two different sections of the store with two different prices, same item.

The staff is rude and very disrespectful the manager told my friend the next time she is coming in this store only come in with her wallet in hand no pocket book are backpacks allowed in the store not only is that ridiculous she was so rude and disgusting. We just turned around and walked out cause I will never spend my $ in a store like that. 1st and last time going in there I wish I could give -1 star

Friendly staff. Adequate merchandise selection (some sections are better than others). Check out lines can be lengthy, particularly on the weekend, but it doesnt deter me from shopping at this location.

Walked out because the store manager was too slow and come to hear that the guy in the register thought I was stealing... it's 2:32 pm and this store and it was a male cashier. Spanish or Indian. Im not sure. Won't come back again

I love this place for its deals and quality. Just one suggestion: please please please have bigger bags available. It's not pleasant to buy several items and have to carry 13 little bags.

This store is a mess then you have only one cashier well I'm down the aisle and nobody helps that's the same thing that was happening back then when the other manager was there and the same thing is happening now the same exact thing one register open even when you have a lot of people walking in the shop and turn around and don't shop you need to improve the store and improves the workers
