Dr Sarah & Amanda were kind , compassionate.Sadly I had the pet owners toughest job, of putting our sweet Daisy Mae to sleep do to her being almost 15 with hip issues. I couldn't watch her suffer. I laid with my Daisy on the floor till she fell asleep nose to nose. She kissed me. Dr Sarah & Amanda were very patient & understanding. Dr Joe has always taken great care of our animals.Thankyou.The Only thing is the payment seemed to be a little bit of a must do before hand. Where as in the past Dr Joe would always say will take care of it later ...

I have been visiting them for approximately a year. Their high-quality care is something I truly appreciate. Getting an appointment is always smooth, unlike some veterinary offices that may turn patients away. Expect an $80 fee just to walk through the door. They call it the exam fee. so it's important to be ready to invest a good amount of money for there top-notch care.

Catskill Veterinary staff is top notch. I have a large Akita who’s not the friendliest. I use their mobile option for his annual exam. The doctor and the technician are great, we work together to make the exam move along.

We can not say enough wonderful things about this vet office. We thankfully found them last year when our senior bunny was very ill. they were able to get him on the schedule immediately and provided wonderful care to him. Thanks to Dr. Janis, the vet techs and vet assistants, and of course the wonderful ladies at the front desk, we were able to have a few more months with our sweet frappe.When we rescued our two new bunnies, we had no hesitation on where to bring them for their vet care. We have not met one person in this practice who is not friendly and helpful, and you can tell they all love what they do here.Many thanks again for everything you have all done and continue to do for us and our fur babies. It means more than you all can ever know.

My dog, Ginger, has Cushing's and has been going to this vet for care and management for over a year now. Dr. Carbone has been very sensitive to Ginger's age (14 years!) and ensures she is not over vaccinated or medicated, which I really appreciate. They understand when I decline treatments due to cost and have been so great with Ginger's ever increasing needs. Ginger has been getting laser treatments every week for her hip issues and the technician staff treats her like a celebrity. She is so spoiled every visit, she sits in their laps as they do the treatment and feed her treats, we joke it's like a spa day for her. Even though this vet is 40+ minutes from our house we continue to go because of this extra attention and care - it's not something you can find at every vet.

Was blown away by the level of service and attention that was provided to us. We brought our 10 year old dog in due to laborious breathing, as soon as we walked in we were greeted with open arms. They took her immediately to get the oxygen she needed. I felt like my pet was the only pet being treated. Phone calls, updates, photos, wonderful communication. Speaking to Dr. Daniela is like talking to a friend. Every single person we encountered was so caring. They saved our Chichi’s life and for that, we are forever grateful.

Beyond grateful to Catskill Vet for the amazing care my senior kitty has received over the last three years. He was not doing well when we first brought him in, and after some testing, they came up with a diagnosis and treatment plan. If he had not received this specialized care, we would not have had this many years with him. His favorite holiday is Christmas, and three years ago, we were hoping to get him through one more Christmas. We have now had three more Christmases with him and maybe more, and we could not be more grateful for this time with him.

I have 3 dogs that are seen here,I can personally say that DR CARBONE,is compassionate,and gets right to the problem. I see some negative reviews (3exactly right in a row,which I find hard to believe)possibly by the same mad person?she is always booked up and that is because she is in high demand ,she is always professional and saved my dogs life.If your looking for fair prices and excellent service, from the front desk to tech aides please try this place out!

I loved taking my dog here!!!! My Rotti is very protective and don’t tolerate strangers (exspecially men). I had an emergency situation that another vet in new Windsor told me it would be 2,500$…… so I called Catskill (because the local Tara clinic recommended them). I thought it would be a horrible experience with her being muzzled and all….. but after 5 mins the staff un muzzled her and to my surprise she only growled when they tried to come between me and her. After 5 more mins everything was fine. They were even able to take her to the back room without me. 2-3 hrs later we carried my 125lb girl to the car because she didn’t want to leave!! Oh yeah and it was only 800$……1700 less than the other place. I will definitely use them again (& again & again)

I am writing to share what I witness. I saw Dr. Danielle be rude and was not professional. All my brother wanted was for her to fix a error on his pet's medical records that her staff member did. My brother was polite but factual throughout this incident. Dr. Daniele was very rude and made me and my brother uncomfortable with her hostile attitude. Don't use this place. It's a shame because the rest of the staff there is great. Beware of this place.

A huge thank you to all vet techs here i could not ask for more compassion and professionalism. Dr janis is by the far the best veterinarian I have ever had the pleasure of working with in regards to my concerns. Not to mention the woman in charge of billing is extremely due diligent and consistent with trupanion and any billing questions making the process that much more appreciated.Thanks a million for your hard work and taking such great care of my girls. ❤️

Be careful bringing your pets here. They like to charge you for extra services. Just to get money out of you. My husband got tired of every time. We came, the prices would constantly change. Or they would try to add-on other things that we couldn't pay for.It seems all they care about is money.

I came here looking for a second opinion after taking my cat to my local vet and having my concerns glossed over. Dr. Green and the tech showed SO much compassion, and I could tell right away that I would have the answers I was looking for. They were so kind to my Leo, and were so comforting. I'm so happy I decided to come here, I felt heard and I'm so happy knowing my baby is being taken care of.

OMG. I can't believe what I am reading. This vet clinic responded with lies to my husband review. I herd conversation my husband had with either on the phone or while he was in person. Even though i wasnt present,while my brother in law and husband was at this vet clinic I was on the phone hearing every word.NUMBER ONE: My husband tried to reach a team member to help but no one helped. multiple team members reached out to my husband. This is a lie.My husband spoke to one person name Jenna. She was polite but was not helpful. She would not correct the mistake or help to try.NUMBER two: The review response states my husband wanted medical records changed for our pets insurance. My husband just wanted the records to be corrected since one of their staff members made a mistake on the medical records and yes thier mistake reflected our pets insurance.three: Appointment was made, but Dr. Carbone asked my husband to come in the same evening because she will be in middletown the next day which is further away from where we lived.Four: My husband was completely baffled that he had to pay for what He thought He was coming to Your clinic, for You to assist in correcting Your staff members mistake.Five: Yes We did receive The letter in the mail. But let it be known that my husband made it clear that he is only paying for the vet bill, just to have a record He was their. Otherwise more lies would be told by You.Six: You stated My husband was hostile. Fasle again. Dr. Carbone was the only one hostile. She said she doesn't care about our concerns. I actually could not believe when I herd that.Dr. carbone was rude and belligerent because my husband wrote a negative review.Avoid going to this veterinary clinic.

I live in Bergen County, NJ, and travel almost an hour to Catskills Veterinary Hospital to provide care for my Savannah cats.I recently had a terrible experience with dental surgery on one of my cats in NJ, causing significant, life-changing damage for my cat. I had to bring her to a specialist to try and correct the mistakes made.I brought another cat, Siri, to this vet, since the NJ vet stated she needed dental care and there is no way I was having that same vet touch any of my cats ever again for dental work. Fortunately for me, Dr Joe does CT scans prior to any type of dental surgery. When I picked Siri up from her dental procedure, he showed me the cat scan (I'm an RN) and said he didn't like the look of the right jaw...he had taken a biopsy of the area and sent it out.That biopsy came back inconclusive, although indicative of osteosarcoma. I brought her back for a second biopsy, which included part of the bone. This time the biopsy was conclusive for osteosarcoma/chondroblastic osteosarcoma, which meant my baby of nine years has bone cancer in her jaw.Siri will be having radiation treatment in Tinton Falls, NJ and although her cancer is not curable, it can shrink 75%, allowing her to live 1-2 years, if not longer. This is because the cancer was caught early.It was caught early because Dr Joe does CT scans prior to surgery. Had that CT scan not been done, we would not have known because Siri's symptoms were not obvious - no outward or inward tumor, etc.I cannot thank Dr Joe enough for his knowledge, practices, kindness and willingness to listen.I rarely write reviews and never this detailed, but Dr Joe pretty much saved Siri's life by early detection because of his expertise - I would not hesitate to recommend this practice.

My girlfriend had an emergency with her dog last night and called to get him in to be seen. They scheduled her, but as she arrived, they called her back to let her know she was "fired" and refused to see her dog. After a 30-minute drive to this place and being refused, she had to drive to Brewster, 1.5 hrs further away. They 'fired' her over a Facebook post that called out this clinics shortfalls years ago.Denial of service over free speech?, looks like a civil suit to me...SEE YOU IN COURT.

I brought my dog in to their Urgent Care, as he was very sick and having seizures. Dr Sara was the best!! She took great care of my dog and he absolutely loves her. I never have an issue with anything I call for, and Dr Sara returns phone calls within a short time. All our questions are answered and we don't feel rushed when we go there. The entire staff there is fantastic!

After over 20 years with our previous vet, I didn't know a vet office could be this accommodating, informative, and kind. Their prices are fair, love that there are 2 location options and extensive open hours. Their doctors and vet techs are professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

HERES A UPDATE ON MY REVIEW. I JUST RECIEVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL SAYING THAT I WAS HOSTLE. WOW. HERES THE TRUTH. DR. DANILLE CARBONE WAS DEFINITELY THE HOSTILE ONE. SHE COULD NOT FACE THE FACTS AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY OF HER AND HER STAFFS ERROR. I BELIEVE IN PRAYER AND MEDITATION. I PRAY THAT DR. CARBONE DOES NOT DO THIS TO ANOTHER PERSON. HER HOSTLE MANNER IS DUE TO ME HAVING MY FREEDOM OF SPEECH. REMEMBER IN THE FIRST WRITING In MY REVIEW, SHE SAID I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS. ALSO SHE CONTACTED MY PAST VETS. SHE CANT ACCEPT THE FACTS. SHE IS VERY resentful and unprofessional. I PRAY THAT DR. CARBONE SEES SOMEDAY THAT HER ATTITUDE IS NOT THE WAY TO HANDLE HER CUSTOMERS. After noticing a error on my pets medical records, I contacted this Vets office. Their error has caused a problem with my pets insurance. They would not help me. They were very dismissive to my concern. Then they asked me to come to their office to clear their error. But instead they charged me for a vet visit. I am very baffled on why they couldn't just correct their error. Unbelievable, they actually charged me for their mistake. I paid it. I told Dr. Danielle that I will not be coming back to her vet office. She then started to pressure me, saying she will never forget this.she actually called my pets previous vet to discuss why I left their vet practice,. . Is this professional. , I think not. She started to make me feel very uncomfortable. I will never use this vet. Not only did they cost me money but they also made me end my relationship with my pets insurance due to their errror.After my meeting with Dr. Danielle she made it perfectly clear that she did not care about my concerns. I tried to make things right. I tried because i really like the staff at this vet office. It really saddens me that I have to end my relationship with this vet office. I am so disappointed. I really pray that Dr. Danielle sees how wrong she really was and calls me and apologizes. May God Bless You All.

One less star because the waiting time is super long; we waited over an hour to be seen, however, this is out of their control. Another reason for 4 stars is due to their record keeping ability not reflecting my fur baby’s updated medical records correctly. We had an appointment today and during the examination I’ve been told multiple times by different vet assistants that Oreo was due for his rabies shot even though the updated medical record was sent to them months prior with Oreo’s vaccination records including his rabies shot that was administered in July of this year. I also happened to see that my baby’s date of birth was incorrect in their file, it was supposed to be the same exact date as my birthday, (sharing a birthday with your pet is a big deal to me) . Sorry not sorry.On the other hand…The reason for their 4 stars is because Dr. Carbone and her staff treated Oreo with care and was very gentle with him. THANK YOU!Please…train your assistants to read through charts, to save documents, and update information accordingly to make sure no tests/ procedures are being done that is not necessary, also, maybe a survey at the end of the visit would help your clinic function a little better.Thanks Dr. Carbone for handling my best friend, and baby , Oreo with care.

I brought my kitten last Monday because he was starting to get sick. They told us that he had parvo and there’s nothing they could do. The vet called me a day later and told me to just put him down by the end of the week. So I did my own research and got help elsewhere. He was treated only with a lot of fluids and he was perfectly fine by the end of the week. While parvo can result in death it is not always the case. If I were to listen to the vet, he would of had no chance. They charged me over $600 for this. I only went here because I’ve heard good things. But I totally regret it because all they care about is the money. I called and left a message for the vet to update them that my kitten is healthy and still have not heard back. Hopefully the vet will learn from this even though she told me she has a lot of experience with parvo. (She obviously does not)Here are two pictures of my kitten. Im so happy I did not listen to them and did my own research.

So far, it's not the greatest experience and I haven't even set foot into the establishment. Made an appointment at 11/15 but had to cancel due to an emergency. Rescheduled for 11/17 but was never called to confirm appointment so I figured someone may have gotten the slot before me. Billing is trying to say I confirmed the appointment. I'm a new client to this vet practice and when you book an appointment it does NOT tell you which branch or even let you select a branch at all. Theres no way I would've confirmed an appointment without even knowing where I'm bringing my dog first. It literally makes zero sense! So I'm being billed as a no show for an unconfirmed appointment or for a canceled appointment. Either way, Make it make sense!I get theres no call no show policies in place but honestly, if I have to pay this bill that will be the end of my patronage for this place... because this is so wrong no matter how you look at it. A very bad first impression i must say. To whoever confirmed my appointment without acknowledgment, big shame on you!

This is my local veterinary hospital as I am fairly new to Sullivan County and I will gladly travel for all of my future veterinary needs. I’ve tried this place with 2 of my pets and will never go back. My cat has a chronic condition that sometimes requires urgent care and they were very difficult to work with in treating/ managing his needs during Covid. I now travel 45 minutes to a better vet for him. Now today, poor service again for my 13 week old puppy in for 2 shots.In my opinion, the hospital is poorly designed— crowded from the waiting room to the small patient rooms, which only have 1 door. It also seems very poorly managed— after waiting a good while, my dog was taken in the back for vitals by 2 triage techs and then returned to me to wait even longer. Once a patient room was available, we were seen not only by the doctor, but 2 additional techs, one who seemed to be in training. That’s 5 people for a vaccine visit. Some of the staff is friendly, but some are just downright cold. My scared puppy was not greeted by the Dr. at all and I was greeted with a couple snide comments because I needed a rabies vaccine on short notice for a trip we’re going on. (I called for an appointment and they booked me btw as I was willing to pay the cost of an urgent care visit.) I was not given verbal advice or information on how my puppy may respond to the vaccine by any of those 5 “vet professionals” but they were sure to let me know I need to be back in a few weeks for more vaccines! It was like I was an inconvenient/incompetent client in a vet hospital that is too busy to take the time to actually care. And it’s not the first time I’ve left feeling this way. Veterinary care is expensive and I expect top notch care and customer service as a paying customer and pet owner. What a shame is all I have to say. Do yourself a favor and choose a different vet.

I called this place over a concern of a possible hernia for my little baby expecting to be given an appointment in a couple weeks. The lady i spoke to i wish I remembered her name she fit me in the same day. I was only waiting less than 30 minutes once i got there. From beginning to end everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is very inviting. Dr. Joe D’Abbraccio was great and answered all questions I had as well as put my mind to ease. Sara Onesty was so sweet and made me feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place and bring both of my dogs back here again.

By far the best Veterinary Hospital! Amazing, friendly, knowledgeable staff. I can not put into words how professional and compassionate they all are. I would highly recommend them!! They have been the only vet to actually take the time to appropriately assess, diagnose and treat my dog. Dr. Lindsey and Shawna were amazing. They take time to answer all of your questions and concerns. They are easily reachable via phone. I could go on and on about the pros of this place. Highly recommend.

Don't let the good reviews fool you. This place is terrible. I've gone in for URGENT care and had to wait hours while my poor baby suffered. Did I get to go back with my cat? NO. They make you wait while they do "testing." I was never given proof of any tests run either. Just told they'd email it to me. Never did. Not once.. none of the blood work.. nothing.. Carbone is absolutely snotty and careless at least when it comes to cats. Makes me sick. Only a month after going to "urgent care" my baby passed away. Suddenly. It was extremely strange since it was only a simple infection. At least according to them. No other explanation. "Doc" stays with you for all of 5 seconds and doesn't answer any questions at all. All the x-rays, tests, work. Never saw any of it. They just want money. They also cover the real expiration date of meds with their own labels. DO NOT GO HERE! Your pets will get better care from a rock then this "vet clinic." Anywhere else but here! Seriously. For the safety of you furry babies, AVOID!

Brought my 2 cats in for an annual as new patients. Dr. was pleasant, very easy to talk to. Treated my cats very nicely. Took care when taking cats blood and giving them their vaccines.
