Sheila was very polite and patient. I had turned in bottles and for gotten my wallet 🙃 I went and hot 2 bought and realized 😳 I didn't have my money. Sheila's register was ets asked her if I could put my flowers by her to return yo my car and get my wallet she said yes smiling and moved them over closer by her 🙃 . I went got my money payed Sheila for my flowers 💐 😌 she checked me out with smile And wished me a good rest of day 🙃. She also offered me a bag to cover my flowers 💐 it was snowing and windy. She did a terrific job of making sure I was happy and served well. 😀 she deserves an award for Great customer service 👏.

I shop at this store a lot and several times there has been no carts in the bay area, mine you ,they have to areas for carts. Went there today and both areas were empty. I ask about the carts and no one could answer or would answer me. Think that I might have to shop at a different store. I do like this Tops market because it is convenient for me but no carts 🙄?...REALLY

I don't normally shop at Tops, but I stopped in today around noon to pick up a handful of things.The Tops on East Ridge Rd. Near Carter St. Rochester, NY. RUDDEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! And, no, I am not a "Karen". I'm a typical customer. I went up to the register, started putting my things on the belt. The cashier didn't even notice my presence. No greeting of any sorts. She was too busy on her phone. Well, whatever. I told her I needed paper bags, I got an eyeroll. I only had 2 bags worth of items. Everything was thrown in the bags totally haphazardly, still not a single word spoken from her. When it was completed, she literally tossed the receipt to me and went back to her phone. No goodbye, she didn't speak one single word. Like I said before, I'm not a "Karen". But this was the worst service I have ever had at any grocery store ever. At least acknowledge your customers! I'm not asking for a red carpet. But at least a hi/hello would be nice. And please don't throw all my items in bags like your taking out the garbage. Very disappointed with this location. Next time I hit a Tops, it will DEFINITELY not be this E Ridge Rd location!!!

This location has to be one of the dirtiest stores in Rochester. The Recycling Center is just plain filthy. When I complained to a front end manager about the condition of the bottle return area she denied it was dirty, said it was power washed regularly and walked away.

Western Union999 East Ridge Road, Rochester, NY 14621Went to try to pick up some money that was sent to me ($200) and they stated that they couldn’t give me the money because they just was opened and all the cash they had on hand was in the cashier’s drawer. I explained then you should state that on the website/internet don’t come in at 8 am when you open because we don’t have any cash on hand. We will have funds by this time. The cashier told me that sounds like a corporate thang as she rolled her eyes and you should talk to them. I explained that they were a vendor and that if they don’t have cash on hand for people’s transactions then they should state that on their website and also your attitude is poor and you’re very rude and unprofessional and walked away. Awful customer service if you’re not happy with your job or don’t like customer calling out services that they suppose to conduct then find another job or career.

Dirty store from the parking lot to the bathrooms. Parking lot littered with debris looks like a wind storm just came through. Walk in the store debris also all over floors Bakery area and shambles dirty. Came back the next morning and all trash cans were still overflowing no Pride

I'm all for seeing a failing store make it. But after my visit this morning, I completely understand WHY they're failing and some stores have already closed.The customer service at this location is nonexistent! Only one checkout lane was open ON A SUNDAY MORNING! And that was an Express checkout for 15 or less items! So that left me with no choice but to use the self checkout for about 20 items. Ugh!!! Too many for Express and, in my opinion, too many for self checkout! The self checkout experience was frustrating to say the least! The scanner kept requiring assistance from an attendant, who was in no rush to help me whatsoever!! She was apathetic at best! After numerous attempts and fails to checkout, and her rudeness and lack of customer service, I was close to leaving my groceries there and going to Wegmans. Until a nice, friendlier attendant "relieved" the female. Still I had to ask for his assistance as my register was still malfunctioning. After I finished, thankfully the register had better customer service skills than the employees, and thanked me for shopping at Tops. Whew! I was finally done after double the amount of time it should've taken to check out!!!! What a frustrating way to start the day! I witnessed an older customer attempt to self checkout with a register that was doing the same thing as mine. Fix your self checkout, open more regular checkout other than Express and teach your employees better customer service! If they don't like what they're doing, please do us shoppers a big favor and leave!!!Unfortunately this experience was not my first at Tops. I won't be returning!

Everytime I come out there the unprofessionalism is annoying and apparent. I do not like it and I will not return. Today was the last day and the girl bye comment was unnecessary and I absolutely did not deserve it and even a couple years ago they had the police leave me a nasty voicemail as well. If it wasn't for the one star they wouldnt get nothing at allSeriously though

Nice clean, organized store. Helpful employees. Great deals and products. However there is a problem with their meat department. It doesn't seem to remain stocked, almost always do not have the meats which they avertise. I like their meats but often don't bother for meat products for the reason given above.

Snuck bad peaches in their inventory and i ended up being jypped. Beware of buying fruit here! Very upset and frustrated they would allow their customers to be cheated selling interior produce! Totally fooled me.. Always save the receipt whenever shopping here!!!

You need to have a sign saying you can only have 1 hand sanitizer. The manager here was not professional going back and forth with me. I told him there wasn't a sign that said 1 per household. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't bring up more than that if a sign was present and embarrass myself. Put a sign up so we won't have this problems

I love going here to buy my Meats. You can pick 5 mix and match for $19.99. Definitely a great deal of especially if you're on a budget. Also you can find a lot of other items that you can't at Wegmans. Although some of the prices on things are a little more if you look or come on the right day you can find good deals.

There's a late night (graveyard shift) worker here who is almost always a barrel of laughs if you can take good oscillating brand of sarcasm and humor. You'll know who I mean...

i think tops prices are the best. you need to buy just items on sale and stock ahead until the next sale. the meats are wonderful!! i know many wegman shoppers agree, tops steaks are the best! if you know your meat cuts and prices and the difference between choice and usda approved and prime you will agree. also their pork is the best around. and above all the staff at the east ridge road is wonderful. from the service desk to the cashier to the department managers. they really need more help but i do appreciate the help they do have.

This place is not considerate of it’s customers time the credit card machines are down and they give the customers no warnings,no signs on the door, no announcements, not even a worker at the door. Who carry’s a lot of cash now a days. I literally saw other customers warning people as they left something an employee could of done. Thanks for not carrying about the customer

Tops is awesome with the 5 for $20 meat deals and those other 5 for $20 deals(fries, onion rings, pizza rolls, mini pizzas, corn dogs, waffles, dinner rolls, frozen party wings and hamburgers, etc.)and their 10 for $10 items, but I've noticed that their prices are alot higher than they used to be. I used to do all my shopping at Tops but now I just go there to grab a few things if I can't find it cheaper or the other stores don't have what I want.

Tops is my favorite grocery store. I love their Pick 5 for 20 deal. the produce is always very fresh as well as the meat and the deli selection is amazing. The staff are very friendly and the store is very clean.

Very poor customer service by the cashier. She acted like she had absolutely no desire to cash me out. She didn't even put my bagged groceries in my cart! I had to do it. She shoved my receipt at me and mumbled have a nice day. Yea, right 😠 Won't be shopping there again any time soon. 👎

Yesterday, I Went To The 999 Ridge Rd. Store To Buy A MONEY ORDER, And I Left ALL My Business Cards! When I Got Home, I Was Looking For My Cards, And I Got Into PANIC Mode, I Called My Bank To Cancel My Credit Card, And While I Was Waiting, I Thought, Maybe I Left Them At TOPS, So I Called TOPS And They Had Them, And I Thanked Them So Much!! TOPS, Should Change Their Name From TOPS FRIENDLY MARKETS To TOPS FRIENDLY AND CARING MARKETS!! THANKS AGAIN!!

Tops is my number 1 grocery store. I have followed this chain from 1 location 2 the present 1. Cashier's to store mgr's know me by name. Always greet me with a smile. Because of my handicap they quickly come to my aid. My only issue is that the double layer buggies they've removed a number of them. Store now only have 2. Being a person with disabilities those carts are a blessing a great help to me.

Love this tops, this is my preferred pharmacy and Brad and Michelle are great with me! Michelle dosent even have to ask me what im ther efor she gets my stuff and rings me up real quick. I love the self checkout option and the produce is always nice and fresh

Decent alternative to Wegmans or Walmart, but I have ran into problems with fresh foods like fruit and vegetables not being as fresh on the days I've been there shopping. Minor problem but otherwise they have good prices and offer lots of coupons if you're into the whole "couponing" scene.

IT IS SUCH AN INCONVIENCE THAT WIC IS ONLY ACCEPTABLE IN CERTAIN CHECKOUT LANES.AS A CUSTOMER I WAS MADE TO LEAVE THE LINE I WAS IN AND GO CHECKOUT WIC IN ANOTHER LANE.WE THE CUSTOMER WERE NOT INFORMED THAT ONLY CERTAIN LINES ARE EQUIPPED WITH THE NEW CARD PAYMENT FOR WIC.WHAT A WAY TO MAKE THE CUSTOMER FEEL UNWELCOMED AND LESS THAN EVERYONE ELSE.THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE FROM THE CASHIER AND THE UPFRONT MANAGERS WERE USELESS THEY DID NOTHING TO HELP ACCOMIDATE ME.ALSO WHY WOULD YOU CHOOSE 15 ITEMS OR LESS LANE FOR THE NEW CARD PROGRAM,WIC ITEMS ARE MORE THAN THAT.THIS WAS JUST UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I've been able to buy things affordably here from time to time if they're running a tops bonuscard special on something. Otherwise, tops feels basically the same as Wegmans to me, but not as nice.
