The staff is very friendly, there’s good assortment of items, very convenient to shop at. The prices are so high though and some of the workers seem very overworked.

This store really just needs to change with the times. The prices are way too high, the store looks kind of dirty and run down, the self checkouts are absolutely awful. Their customer service is lacking and the workers are not very friendly or helpful, ESPECIALLY AT CITIZENS BANK WHERE THEY HAVE RUDE WORKERS PROVIDING HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE (even if this isn’t part of Tops I would not ever come back here again after the experience I had today at the bank inside their store) I would never shop here for groceries myself and I don’t see why people even do.

I was in store #416, AM of 10/6. This was a third visit to the store and I was totally appalled. Extremely rude, verbalizing their opions out loud about the manager on duty. Disgusting language. This will be my last time in this store.

Great. I love this Tops. Prices are marked as high as other local grocery chains, but about a third of that usually comes off at the register. This place is well run, organized and very clean. I see items on the aisles which make me think "Oh! How thoughtful!" And this place always has a lot of inexpensive, quality outdoor BBQ and yard stuff in stock. Tops is great!

I called Cust Svc desk (2 weeks ago) to verify store hours which were listed by Google to hv changed.... I was hung up on. Furthermore the store has removed Comment Boxes. If you want anything not on sale prepare to pay. They also seem to have discontinued their print ads sadly.

Went to do my weekly shopping at my favorite Tops with great deals only to run into issues at the cashier where a oriental young female scanned my one orange ( that I had already put a price on per the lady in fruits section that was correct-seedless were in sale for .79 when a can bonus card), reversed the transaction from her machine and re-entered it at the regular orange price of .99. No question or anything. I asked her why she did that and she proceeds to tell me that's the price of the orange. I continue to explain to her and say we can go look. She again confirms its an orange and .99 down from 1...something. I considerably explain one more time now with customers behind me. She FINALLY calls a manager over and I explain to them. The manager was then considerate enough to honor the price that I was diligent enough to put on there to start with.Please Tops teach your register clerks customer service! Do not lower yourself to Semana standards

Not a fan of Tops. "Regular" prices require the use of club card to get somewhat reasonable price in stuff.Clean enough. Variety seemed lacking, although they do carry some brands that "W" doesn't.

Hi I was a customer at Tops Marketplace for years and I have always had decent customer service. Today I witnessed a manager or a worker named Tiffany scream at this young girl at the register. The level of rudeness and effort to tear her down was immense. I was offended that a coworker of hers let alone someone in a higher position would say the things she did and it was not appropriate at all. I am extremely sorry for the girl and I am never shopping at Tops again, please watch out for Tiffany at Tops on Jefferson Road

I shop at the Jefferson Rd. store. Even though the regular prices are very high, often I've been able to get some good deals. A shout out to Rick, who always does a great job of bagging groceries!

The location is perfect, the staff are amazingly nice. It literally felt like walking into a Wegmans. But less of the headache. It was relaxed, the people shopping were enjoying themselves! It's a diamond in the ruff. Everything was easy to find, the bogos were a steal. All around a great experience!

I was at the delicatessen today around 2 PM. I was pointedly ignored by the man standing behind the counter. He looked up saw me and then went back to what he was doing. This went on for about two minutes. I don’t know what his reason was for ignoring me. It was evident hostility. This is the opposite of what I would expect from your supermarket and it’s service.

One thing I REALLY HATE about Tops stores is lack of consistency as to product inventory!!! You check their ad, go to the store quickly to make your purchase only to find bare shelves or very limited stock. Downsizing many of the stores has only magnified this problem.

Penfield, NY store:Clean, well stocked, friendly staff who are knowledgeable. Great sales! Grocery purchase amount goes toward gas points which can be a tremendous savings! For my shopping needs, Tops offers great value.

The actual shop isn't much different from other locations and I didn't have a problem with that. This 1 star review is strictly for this location's BAKERY DEPARTMENT! I filled out a paper and spoke to a man last week about order a birthday cake for myself. He acted as if he had no idea what he was doing. I wanted a small 7 inch cake with a design on it. He told me he didn't know if they could do that and had to call a decorator on the phone. They said of course they could. I was never told what the cake would look like or how much it would cost. I was told they get in around 6 am as nd would call me the next day. I stated it would be highly inappropriate to call me at 6am on Thanksgiving day about a cake needed for Friday and to call me at 9am.Needless to say my daughter and I walked away with a bad feeling they either wouldn't make the cake or do a bad job. When I didn't get a call by 11:30am on Thanksgiving day, I went out to Wegman's and bought a backup birthday cake just in case. Sure enough, this Tops NEVER made my cake and never called me to make sure of the needs. Despicable behavior! It's hard enough having a birthday during a holiday weekend, add on a social distance need because of a global pandemic, and a little happiness by having a pretty cake COULD HAVE HELPED brighten the day to celebrate with what familyI was allowedto be near. If your department couldn't be bothered to bake a cake instead of forcing the customerto pick out a pre-made one, then say so up front so I would know my expectations wouldn't be met ahead of time!

In a town ran by Wegmans, Tops does little to try to keep up. The Bonus Card system is a sham. Everything is marked high so that the "savings" you get are actually not that great. The employees are never around to help if needed and if you do ask a question, 9 times out of 10 times they have no idea how to answer. (I'll blame that on the management.) I only go there for the donuts , which are actually quite good, and the bank , which has the nicest tellers of any bank in Rochester.

TOPS is great for picking up something quick from the store. Their bakery is also pretty good as well. Otherwise items can tend to be expensive compared to other stores in the area. The TOPS card does add up in gas savings though.

This is a beautifully laid-out, clean, and expansive Tops location. While the outside looks like any other Tops, once inside the distinction is clear. I tend to choose this over the nearby Wegmans when in the area; it's generally the nicer, better option.

When they say they don't stop, best damn well take it seriously. The experience here is exhilarating, from the extensive mayonnaise collection to the superb choice of fine fresh cut BEEF you will never be let down here. Tops club members also receive unbeatable deals and earn points for GAS! Not tooooooo shabby if you ask me.

Service department was very attentive when my particular item was not available. When I called the following day I was directed to the Grocery staff and the gentleman quickly determined that my item was in and would hold it for me to pick up that same day.

Their muffins are more moist and they got a better selection then Wegmans. They have more brands to choose from, where Wegmans uses their own brand. I like having two grocery stores to go to actually 😁

Generally less crowded than wegmans, and the employees are more helpful and nicer here. They have most of the same things at wegmans, maybe less in the prepared foods section (carry out cafe is still nice though). I prefer to shop here over wegmans and I feel I do end up saving money here as opposed to wegmans with the bonus card

Could we please get the gluten free items all in one place? The bread crumbs are in 3 locations...the gf bread crumbs are in 2 of those...also the Beyond Meat Burgers should be near the Morningstar Farms and Amy's GF/organic. It takes much longer to shop at this Tops and that is why we avoid it and just go to Wegmans even though we are much closer to Tops.
