I have been shopping this store since 2020. I backed off for a bit during pandemic when crime was out of control. This store was bad. They have made some whole sale changes. Check out area has been addressed to funnel customers out. Armed security is visible. Most product was removed from front of store (probably due to theft). No more shady folks trolling the lot or blocking the fire lane in their cars. Customer service desk is hit and miss. Went in the other day and there was 1 person at desk helping a line of 1o people which went out the door. That us unacceptable at any big box store.

This store is the best because the customer service is the best and all the other employees are very friendly and kind all around! One of the employees helped us find something which we were in the wrong aisle so she led us to the right aisle! She was very helpful!

Wow, customer service is really just gone Bought a $500 mechanic cart one week ago and the wheels broke off day two of using it so instead of just getting me two new wheels and keeping a costumer. The lady said call the manufacturer. Not our problem so now I have to go unload it and return the entire cart. What a waste of time.

I like the store. The security doors'polls/install goes off all the time near the plant dept. No one runs to look at all. If there is security issues with stealing and those went up to help no one is there. Once in a while you will see a security detail there. The plants are finally in order but all summer the plants were dying and I saw bugs flying around like white flies from the plants. under watered plants just died on the shelf and still the same price and then they toss them in the garbage. Anyway, very help ful check out people and well trained. The wood dept saws in the back of the building were both broken at the same time for days on end in the summer and I went back a few times trying to get things cut.

Do not place on online order here if you value your time or money. Ive placed 3 online orders here and each time the staff at the store did not get the order right (wrong/missing items). The staff are also rude and have a bad attitude.

Ordered front and back doors to be installed in August. The install was scheduled for October. In October only the front door could be installed since the backdoor was ordered in the wrong size. Backdoor installation was delayed until late November. In late November the backdoor installation has to be delayed another 4-6 weeks because they again ordered the wrong door/jam components.This is just completely ridiculous. Hopefully we get our door installed sometime in 2023, probably not though. It will also be freezing cold when this installation happens which we were also trying to avoid.We are not happy!

Trashiest attitude by cashiers. The lady was on her phone texting while I approached to check out. No recognition from her side, no greetings, absolutely lousy job performance...The store is dirty, everything behind cages with locks on it... Will NOT come back to this location.Hello Lowe's!

This place is a hot mess. Clearly no supervision and very little employee training. I realize that we’re in this post-covid time and people still don’t want to work, but this Home Depot needs leadership. I ordered online for a curbside pickup. The item was not ready after 11 hours. They didn’t even have it pulled from the back room storage. After an hour waiting, we chose to return the next day. Again, curbside wasn’t working so we entered and waited in line for a half hour with many employees clearly just stumbling around without a mission. Eventually my order showed up and both big boxes were smashed. I obviously refused the order and asked for another one. After another half hour, we were out the door. The staff who were actually working were totally overwhelmed and the only ones holding this operation in business. My recommendation would be to order from a different store. 👎

A MUST for any DIYer. Great for all odds and ends whether fixing up something outside or inside. Staff is kind.l but sparse. Download the app and it will tell you the aisle and bag of everything you want. Makes shopping easier. Self checkout is great. Expect lots of carts strewn throughout the parking lot not in the cart return (it’s a rite of passage) and expect lots of terribly parked cars. Join them by parking sideways. The paint people here are especially nice!

Absolutely poor. Nobody picks up the phone and nobody will fulfill online orders. I went in after waiting for my order to be completed for two days and the employee in pickup handed me the order sheet and had me go hunt down the items myself. I ordered four items and every single one of them was out of stock despite the website saying they had inventory.The store is understaffed and overwhelmed. The lines at customer service are swamped and the shelves are either empty or disorganized. Home Depot pretends that they are adversely affected by COVID-19 and has all kinds of propaganda playing over their hold music and in-store about reduced hours and blah blah blah, meanwhile their stock prices are at an all time high. What a sham.Total waste of daylight and gasoline, avoid at all costs.

All I can say is WOW! 15 people left a meeting not one could help me. Guy that finally came to help me said they have 7 of what I need but doesn't know where. Last time coming to this location. They don't know which way is up.

Hard working and friendly staff...but this location is off their game. Recent appliance delivery went horrible. Drivers refused to remove refrigerator doors. Wrongly said it would void the warranty. Told me to purchase a small refrigerator! Manager seemed indifferent. I would have to reschedule waiting 2 weeks and try different drivers.!

Irondequoit Store canceled my confirmed rental the day of. Rental was for 12:30. Call was at 8:30. Therefore, they had no idea if van was coming back or not. Policy is if someone doesn't bring van back, they have no control. So if they are calling to cancel, they preempted my reservation to extend the other customer and did not honor it. Very disrespectful move. I think the attorney general needs to be notified of unfair practices. 2nd time it has happened this week. Not ok

I like the store and it's employees. However, water your plants! Trees, bushes, flowers, hanging plants are mostly dead due to the lack of water. It's not that hard. I can even show you how. I'm tired of driving to other Home Depot stores when I have one less than a mile away.

I went here to use a gift card I had received for my birthday from my parents. At the check out the cashier attempted to scratch off the layer protecting the PIN# and ended up accidentally scratching off the number itself. So now they say sorry we can't use the card. So I go over to customer service. Politely ask how they can fix the issue. Both people I spoke to were rude and unhelpful basically saying sorry the card is useless now. I kept telling them there must be a way to get the card re-issued. They said I'd have to call the number on the card (there is no # on the card btw). So I go home frustrated and call the customer service line. The rep tells me the store CAN in fact re-issue me a card, and that I just have to talk to the clerk. So I go back days later, and ask for that clerk. The first two reps said there is no person who does that in the store, didn't even know that position existed. So I asked for a manager. The maanger advised me the clerk left early (it was 1pm) and I expressed frustration that I've been back twice. She told me all the people who can do this are not available and asked me to give me phone# and they would follow up. I'm unsure if they attempted to call me, but I didn't have any voicemails from them, week goes by. I come back this time at 10:30AM, go to customer service, again asking for help with the re-issue. Again 2 people tell me they can't do it. I explained I was already told by a manager it can be done here, and the supervisor continued to say no it can't. Then an assistant manager came over who is supposedly the backup for the clerk that CAN do it, who is at lunch. She tells me that she may be able to help but they need the store# and 10 digits of my parent's credit card# to do it. First off, my parents live in Saratoga, and they didn't even get the card at a Home Depot they got it at the grocery store, and 2nd, they don't feel comfortable giving their credit number to some random person at Home Depot. So again, I leave the store fuming that no one will help me. I have a useless gift card. I will likely never go back to this store again. I'm hoping a manager at another home depot in the city will be able to help me out. I will drive farther to never have to deal with these people again. In total I spoke to over 10 staff members over the course of 3 visits and not a single one of them helped me, and more than half of them were incredibly rude to me and didn't want to be bothered. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

Absolutely disappointed, Went to take advantage of the labor day sale but ended up walking out empty handed, Why ? Because nobody came to open up the locks on the products dispite someone being called to come help me out, 400 plus dollars in sales walked out that door. Also some Asian women working the customer service section came off completely she cut me off in the middle of my question.

Astonishing awful & unprofessional. Got a quote for an exterior door project. The vendor slimmed up into my face for an intro, then when i found a door that i selected online, called the Irondequoit store & spoke to Jim, had to hear about his political views on Biden, then after all the honey talk, found out they don’t install that door for “legal reasons” (it’s a storm door security door”) still a storm door, but ok…Jim disconnected my call, then when i called the department back twice after, they just kept disconnecting me. Hard to imagine why. Called corporate 3 times, an absolute mess. So then i call the slimy vendor to tell him home depot doesn’t install the door i chose. He tells me because it’s made in China! Oh, that makes perfect sense now! Finally i used TEXT help & found a decent person to refund my $40 measuring fee. Home Depot is a hard pass for me on ANY purchase.

So, just another Home Depot. Didn't really stand out too much one way or another. As a bonus, for a Saturday it was strikingly empty. One negative that stuck out was that I asked two different associates to find a simple item. "Drill Phillips head bit, for driving screws."Not only was neither one sure at all where to look, neither one was willing to help me find somebody that might know the answer. Eventually I located the item. I wasn't overwhelmed with either salesperson though. Maybe it was just a bad day.. it got four stars instead of three, basically because it was empty and therefore after I found the item it was a quick checkout.

I was looking for a Fertilizer. For blooming plants, flowers... so as I entered the outside part of home depot, I stopped at the cashier that's posted just as you enter. I asked her for Fertilizer, she tells me ots inside at isle 56. I go to isle 56 an guess what? No Fertilizer. Instead I ask another associate only to follow him back outside to the lady's work area to discover the Fertilizer that I needed. I went to her to payor it an I tell her, hey Fertilizer wad just 25 feet from you, in ur area.... she wad clueless...An i was tired of asking and searching. You better be well rested when shopping at this home depot location

Consistently awful experiences at this store. It's near impossible to find any employees for assistance and in the rare times when you do the employees are not helpful. Just today I had two other customers ask me to find an employee for them. Store is a mess, with many products constantly out of stock.
