Stopped in here on Sunday morning-1/21/24- and had a great experience. The gentleman working greeted me, there was a huge selection of the cat food I needed and the same gentleman rang out my order with a pleasant and helpful attitude. Not my normal PSP location but I'll be back when I'm in the area.

The staff is so helpful. My babies are freezing and needed some winter gear. The paw wax is the best 8$ investment I’ve ever made. The fleece is really warm. Thanks again for spending at least 30 mins helping me make a decision. Great customer service.

I used to love coming in here because I love to look at the animals (plus I always but stuff for my Himalayan cats and husky dog)... but I will not be coming in anymore.Typically, I would say the staff is super friendly (they are). But this one girl, Michaela (supposed manager), has the most condescending, aggressive, and disrespectful demeanor.Here's the story: I seen that they have a beautiful baby conure (which I've been researching & scoping out birds recently), and I instantly fell in love and decided THIS IS FINALLY THE ONE! After playing with him for a bit, I went and asked a worker (male), whom was friendly and went to look for a manager but came back to tell me that : "they cannot let me take him out of the cage UNLESS I WAS GOING TO BUY HIM". So, okay, fine. I can understand that. I went back to the cage and as my partner is convincing me that this is the one, I decided I needed to at least see if he even liked me considering he was killer overpriced at $600 (on sale). So, I put my hand in a TINY SLOT DOOR (4" x 3") and I was socializing with him and I just knew we had to have him! Well, this NASTY girl comes storming out of the back and told me "that's not OK, you can't do that!" And she literally shut the door while my hand was in it forcing me out whilst aggressively berating us!?! Now that my have is out, she continues to stand 6 inches from my partners face STILL running her trap about how we should've asked a manager this and that (but we had). My partner was so upset, she literally cried because we wanted the bird so bad and we know he's about to sit there for MONTHS just like the ferrets and the tarantula because they are SUPER OVERPRICED & because they bite from NOT BEING SOCIALIZED!Those birds are the most social creatures and NEED that love and affection or else they will literally die. All of their pets are overpriced and still sitting there MONTHS later. It's disgusting and sad.I was a serious buyer. And at that price, you would think they would want to do whatever they could to make a big sale!I still might buy the baby, because he's better off with me, but I'm not until I speak to someone with some common sense.

I normally shop in Chili but out of food for special needs cat. I took drive to Monroe Avenue. That store had food in stock and cashier was very friendly. Parking lot crowded but maybe that's a good thing

PSP Monroe Ave, Rochester, NY = THE BEST! They not only deliver my dog's huge heavy bag of food by 8pm the next day- but several times now they brought it the Same Day even when I missed the order cut-off time for that day! My dogs & I truly appreciate them.

Helpful and friendly staff! Took my son to get his first fish and he loved the store and experience. The staff helped us get the correct setup and they didn't try oversell us.

If you close at 7pm on weeknights please UPDATE your store hours on Google!I just drove 20 minutes to the store to find out it's already closed. Super upset as they were one of the only stores that had the dog food on sale that I need.

I come here to buy fish and have always been extremely satisfied by this store! They have a large variety of healthy fish and get new types in all the time. The staff are very friendly and I always love seeing dogs that other people bring into the store

Absolutely love this place! I always bring my big boy with me when I head in to shop around. Even though he is a shy fella, the staff love him and know when it's best not to push him. Even though I have moved 15mins away from them (used to live 5mins away) I'm am more than willing to drive on over for their bathing deal. $25 for 5 baths, something I need for bathing a 100lb+ dog.

I recently rescued a dog and had a coupon booklet with the adoption papers for this place. Overwhelmed and exhausted, I purchased everything that I thought I needed. Was told that I couldn't use the coupon unless I was a member. I declined, just wanted to get home. The lady behind me let me scan her card and I was all set. A few days later I tried to return a harnesses. Too small, tags still, lost the receipt. Figured I'd exchange for a bigger size or dog food. Was told you need a receipt to exchange. Really! I live next to Petco which I'm at everyday. I guess you do need coupons and a membership to get and retain customers.

Bought a fish there for my coworkers Christmas gift. Lasted maybe 8 hours???? Extremely disappointed because I bought everything the employee recommended and even double checked with another employee to ensure this DIDN'T happen!!!! To make it worse, the poor fish died because it was sucked up by the filter that I was recommended. This poor fish lived a short life because of this stores recommendations. I just hope it was a good one....I do want to mention although the product recommendations were clearly bad, the people who recommended these products were very nice. They were smiley.

This is the place (and location) to go to get in and out. It's a small store full to the brim with products and lots of times, some sales. Don't waste your money at the grocery store, the deals and selection are amazing!

I am a regular patron of Pet Supplies Plus Store. Today was another good shopping experience, the staff members are avid pet-people and are consistently helpful and pleasant. A small treat for my dog is always provided, too, so she enjoys visits to Pet Supplies, loves to sniff around the place! The store in the heart of the Monroe Avenue, Rochester NY, shopping area is very clean, well-stocked, all kinds of quality pet foods, treats, and accessories and the items are easy to find. Animals and fish that are for sale appear to be healthy and well cared-for. Parking next to the store is ample. Prices seem fair and reasonable. Staff members are always cordial, courteous, and helpful, willing to answer questions and help out. A very pleasant and welcoming place to bring your pet and shop! Thanks for considering my comments, which apply to my latest visits to Pet Supplies Plus, Monroe Ave., Rochester.

Me and my Brother went with our dog , we went there so excited to purchase food for our Dogs. And get a Guinea Pig. However we go to the register and we went to purchase and it took money out of our account and the store say it’s never went through but it did and then I went out to call the bank and my bank told me to come back and try the purchase again but we was refuse because we were accusing of hitting our Dog for which they consider abuse , we only tap on our dog to calm her down because she was barking at other dogs coming into the store. We was treated very poor and I don’t support people coming into pet supplies plus. This store is discriminatory and need the store to be reevaluated. I am disappointed in the service and that store will no longer be receiving my services

Great pet store and a great location. The owner and employees are all very kind and so good with animals. The DIY bathing stations are such a great service at a great price and they always do the best job when my dog's nails need to be clipped. Thank you Lisa and friends!

Just experienced my first delivery of a HUGE bag of dog food. Not only did I get it the next day, but it was free delivery, AND they called that evening to confirm I had received my order! You just don't see customer service like this anywhere anymore... 👍👍
