I love coming here. The staff has always been helpful and have gone above and beyond when I needed emergency help and assistance for one of our dogs, which seems to get diarrhea more than our other two. They also have a compassionate disposition when I bring my 3 dogs in for shots or their other medical needs. Please consider coming here. You'll be happy that you did.

Used to be great place but when I called with my dog who had lime disease they just told me they were busy and try another vet. Being going there 12 years for non emergency services and then when my dog couldn’t even stand… I had to call other vet places. Ark in Henrietta was also busy but found time to see him and glad to say he’s fine now. What kind of animal hospital turns away gravely sick pets. This happened a couple months ago but still bothers me!

The practice used to be very good but not anymore. Staff did not read follow up message when my cat was treated at Emergency Veterinary Service which led to my cat not receiving proper follow up care. When I attempted to share concerns about my cats change in behavior and that medication seemed prudent I was blown off by the vet who didn't even see my pet. Not a professional practice anymore and not safe.

Just heartless, not sure of it's the office or the people. The office used to be good. My geriatric dog, desperately needing help couldn't be seen. His time had come and I was desperate. He was a patient there, I was told look elsewhere.

I have been bringing my pets to this practice since 2001. They all know me by name. They are always so helpful and kind. I do miss Dr O’Neil since she returned. The doctor who replaced her is equally kind. I highly recommend this vet for your pets.

Amazing experience, every appointment I go to. I have 3 dogs and a cat — my pets are always treated like family there! Tech and doctor listen to my all my questions /concerns and discuss options without judgement. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CARE :)

Years ago when I would go here it felt like going to Jiffy Lube with all the add ons they pushed. That isn't the case anymore. Good doctors and good staff, no high pressure sales tactic. Happy to take my dogs and cat here.

Even with all the back up in getting appointments, the staff and Dr. Straka were able to get my dog and cat in. I've been at this vet and with Dr. Straka for 20 years or more. I love the staff and Dr. Straka is very caring and comforting. I've never had a bad experience, even when I had to put my Zoe down. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Words can hardly describe how grateful I am feeling towards this animal hospital and it’s staff. Our Oliver got into something(s) he shouldn’t have and proceeded to put us (and himself!) through a week of torture. We visited every day through the week: first to analyze the problem, Dr Straka found the issue and completed the surgery, then the following observation/hospital day, then 2 remaining visits to resolve further issues. Every time I called, every single staff member that took care of us, was beyond understanding of the situation and caring of all of us. I am so happy to be hugging my puppy Oliver tonight, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!!!!!

Dr. Bunkin Berg is amazing!! We drive about an hour to see her because she is that amazing! I reached out with a question about my pup and his ears. She reached out to me by phone and even stayed later than she was going to do that she could see my pup before her absence. She is hands down top notch.. She truly cares about our pets. I would drive a million miles to keep her as our vet!!

NEGATIVE 25 STARS.came here Saturday for an appointment. I was 14 minutes late due to the rain and having trouble getting my dog here. Sure, I was told the doctor would not see us. The lady with the pink hair was rescheduling me, the other Lady said put her in for Tuesday.girl, came up next to her and said put her in for Tuesday. I don't said it won't be urgent. Visit. Where I have to pay extra correct? She said I am putting it in an urgent care slot but we are not going to treat it as an urgent visit. I said okay. today for my appointment. At 9:30 I was there at 930 on the dot. I was told they're running behind and I was sitting in the room for one hour. The man that came in said something about an urgent visit i told him what had happened Saturday.the office manager then came in and sad they will not see me or my dog. I said she needs to be seen? This is her well visit and now She developed A UTI as well. She said she spoke to staff. And they will not see me today. I said. Can we talk to the employees? She refused. I that's sad. Okay, then I will pay the extra for the urgency. Because my dog is 14 and she's sick. She said. They will need to reschedule. I said why would we need to reschedule. My dog could feel tension and started barking so now I'm talking loud. I told her she is wrong and this is not okay and that she needs to be seen. Because I stood my ground, then the role reversed to You are not allowed at this practice anymore. 4 threatening. I said I didn't threaten you? This is about my dog. I asked you to call your employees and your to get the situation corrected. Now I'm talking really loud trying to talk over my dog at no point, did I Curse at her or threaten her. I did say. I'm not leaving until my dog gets treatment. within 2 minutes she added 10 Police officers there with my poor sick dog. everybody involved will have a visit soon. :)Threatening to arrest me for trespassing. manager is a heartless piece of garbage. This is not over whatsoever. so now my dog is sick, no treatment. you are dishusting

The Doc spent a reasonable amount of time looking Ash over . She made us comfortable with the way she explained what and why she was doing things . I'm pretty sure we found the right place finally to take Ash . Dr. B was awesome .

Zeus Canine Seigler and I had a great visit at the vet. Everyone was friendly and the Dr. sat on the floor with Zeus making my fur baby comfortable. The price wasn't horrible and they let me Cash out in the room so I didn't have to maneuver my 71 lb. Pit while waiting for the financial transaction.

The staff are all so friendly and sweet. They take such good care of my dogs. My dogs see Dr. Bunkenburg and when we had to say goodbye to one of our pups, she was the most compassionate and loving. Made the whole terrible process easier. So thankful for this place and recommend them highly

I have been going here for almost 20 years for my animal health needs. And they have always been wonderful. But the last 2 years, things have changed. I have been trying for over a year to get an appointment and they are always full. They say to call on a certain day when the next calendar month opens up but you can never call fast enough to get an appointment. This has been super frustrating. I have talk to other dog owners and no one seems to be having the same problem. I am seriously thinking of changing to a different vet where I can actually get my dog cared for.

I have been bringing my dog here for 11 years and have also had a great experience. The doctors are all wonderful and even call after hours. Colleen at the front desk is by far the most friendly and helpful person ever. She has helped me numerous times in emergency situations with my dog and is always friendly and compassionate. I am very impressed. Our cat Stella broke a tooth and the emergency vet on White Spruce doesn’t do dental work, and the other emergency vet was booked and the other places we tried were closed for the day. She was acting normal and eating and all so we waited till this morning and called Irondequoit Animal Hospital which is our regular vet clinic and Dr. Straka squeezed her in first thing this morning. We are so appreciative to her and her staff for taking her in so quickly. We’ve been going there for over 25 years and are very pleased with the care and attention they have provided not only today but throughout the years. The tooth has been removed and there is no infection so we are quite relieved and so pleased Dr. Straka and the staff there were willing to accommodate Stella right away. 💕

Irondequoit Animal Hospital is the worst place ever to take your animals. They don’t care about them (they care for them), huge difference. they only want the almighty dollar. I have seen this years ago so I stopped going there, forward ahead to now. I called them today to make an appointment (because they are only a couple of miles away) to put my dog of 12.5 years down so he would not suffer. They told me that being I had not been there in over 3 years that I would have to make an appointment for a physical before they would put him down. They just want the money for an extra office visit!! These people are sick and heartless, they discuss me!! They should not be in business and lose any state licenses that they have.

Excellent care! I have a small dog that has had many years of complications as a result of a tick bite and contracting Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Her vet at Irondequoit thinks outside the box and has helped her with the various issues from the RMSF.
