This was our first and last time coming to this groomer. We brought our dog (a schnauzer terrier mix) here to get a wash and trim. We were very specific with the employees about what we wanted from our visit, and it was as if they intentionally did the opposite of what we asked for. A light trimming around the face turned into a patchy shaving of her entire head. Bald spots, nicks from the sheers on her cheeks etc….just an absolute nightmare scenario. To top it all off, when my boyfriend came to pick her up they hid our dog in the back until he paid for the grooming and then even asked for a tip! Unbelievable and unethical.

The staff is always excited to see Joy!!! Good selection of food and treats. We travel almost 1/2 hr to support small business. Joy loves getting a bath now… goes right up the steps vs having to pick her up the first few times. Thanks to Paula and her staff.

I've been taking my dog here regularly for groomings for years. Loved it, friendly staff who did a great job with him. However, this last time, there was a new groomer that has never groomed my dog before. Her name is Eve and she will butcher your dog. Avoid her at all costs. She told me that she had "knicked" my dog and I told her it was OK and that I understood accidents can happen, especially when working with animals.... However when I got to my car, I had realized that the "knick" was more of a deep tear, or stab in his skin; he had blood dripping from him when I picked him up, he was visibley shaking and afraid and very clearly in alot of pain. Needless to say, a very expensive trip to the vet was made. The vet said his skin was so torn she wasn't able to suture it; they had to clean it out really well and my dog has had to wear a safety cone and has been on pain killers and antibiotics 3x a day and has to let his skin naturally heal. Even if this was the last place in town, I'd never bring him back because he's now traumatized.

Every time we come in, the groomers are always so excited to see Myrtle! This is one of the ONLY places that can trim our basset hound's nails safely without our dog panicking. They are so good with positive reinforcement and giving her love during her trim. You can tell everyone there truly cares for animals. Would definitely recommend.

Did a great job cleaning up my cat! She had some thick mats on her back due to the fact she can't clean herself back there. The fur remaining is super soft 😊 and they got her thumbnails clipped because they were growing into one of the pads on the bottom of her feet. She seems much happier now and it didn't take long at all!

The lady at front desk is terrible! I have an appointment for over a month to have both my dogs groomed. They leave a message two days before and cancel my appointment. Do to not having a groomer, so they push me off for another month. Then the lady hangs up!!! No customer service at all

I have brought my Golden Retriever here for 5 years and always have had a good experience. Unfortunately, today will be my last time coming here. The groomer seemed to be in a rush, starting with calling me to come in 2 hours early and then doing the “full service” in less than an hour. I don’t believe my dog was even washed, just sprayed with perfume since he wasn’t even damp after. He also was SHAVED, when golden retriever fur is NEVER to be shaved. Just has a horrible haircut and feel like I paid for more than I got.

Love how my dogs nails get cut and how clean and brushed I pick my dogs up from grooming and they look like Rockstars! Amazing place they are so patient and make my dogs feel right at home. My dogs come back at ease and not stressed out after EVERY grooming session. Everyone is so friendly and super sweet with me and my dogs. Love this place and they gave my dogs adorable bandanas after they groomed them very cute surprise 😊 been going here for years best place hands down! They make scheduling easy and call if a spot is opened up for a sooner appointment, great honest communication! 5 star rating-10 star service, completely affordable but the customer service here is priceless 👌

Healthy choice is a wonderful pet store, clean and always greeted with smiles. Grooming is above and beyond and the staff especially the owner welcomes all and everyone is treated like family. This is my go to grooming place. Paula gets me in with as many of me dogs as I want and does a fantastic job on them. Last time was 3 of my huskies and my Westie. They were done quickly and they look and smell fantastic. I love the smell of the shampoo they use. Can not recommend them enough. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic shop, and amazing groomer! We brought our golden doodle to PetSmart initially for a haircut, and they butchered his cut, especially around his face. We called Healthy Choice Pet Supply, and they fit him in that day, despite a busy grooming schedule! Heather brought him right back, fixed up his haircut in about 5 minutes, and did an overall amazing job working with him. Along with that, the shop itself is amazing! Great prices and a pretty decent selection. They will even special order stuff that you may need at a regular schedule at no additional cost. I had no idea that they existed before this interaction, but I am very glad I found them! We will definitely be going back!!

Outstanding customer service and they treat and care for your animals as if they were their own. Prices are better than the other pet stores around the Rochester area. We take our 65 pound lab mix to get groomed. They not only cut her nails but they also file them down. They always make sure that there is not a room full of dogs to be groomed therefore making the experience for the dog comfortable. Our dog is returned dry and never damp like other groomers do.

I have taken my cat here twice for grooming and have been so happy with the results! The first time he was badly matted and needed some very close shaving to remove them. They were so gentle with him when removing all the matts and made him so much more comfortable. I took him again this week for another haircut since his coat was getting scraggly and it’s hard for him to maintain his coat in his older age and it’s hard for us to brush his belly well. The staff was so wonderful and everyone I talked to was so friendly from the front desk staff to the groomer! They all told me how he did and how they gave him love the whole time. He seems so much more energetic and happy at home with his summer cut. I would recommend this place to everyone wondering where to take their cats to get groomed.

The people are extremely friendly and very kind to my dogs! My dogs are rescues and it’s been very hard to find someone to groom them because of their behavior. When I walked in the store and my dogs were greeted by the groomer, it was the first time that they didn’t bite! She accepted my little ones , they stayed, and they finally got groomed! What a great moment that was, since no other place would take them! I’m so grateful that I found this place! And so are my babies!

I have had Golden Doodle dogs for over 15 years and never had a dog shaved down. I am totally unsatisfied with this grooming.Grooming done in May 2021, took over 3-1/2 months for hair to grow back.I met and talked directly with Jody the groomer about how we agreed to do her best getting some matts out and only cutting her half way. I even told her I was willing to pay more to have matts worked out. She could of called me stating she needed to be shaved entirely but didn’t. I even placed some of Luna’s hair in my hand to show Jodi hair to cut half way. When I picked up my dog I found Jodi left on a trip ( possibly in a rush and not care to try to work the matts etc). I dropped Luna off at 11:35 and received missed call at 12:50. Only 1 hour 15 minutes to bath and cut. I routinely brush my and bath my dog and it takes 45 minutes (wash & dry). We knew Luna was getting bad, tried to move up appointment and even washed her a week earlier. Jodi trimmed ears, tail and under chin way to much. Even her back which was matt free was shaved to the skin. A small nick is between is on her nose. Agreed she had some matts but she did not need to completely shave down.Poor communication.The store stated they tried calling but did not leave a message. I had to call them later to see if my dear dog was ready. My phone history shows they called but no message. I even had my wife call to test my phone and she could leave a message. I mentioned to Recpt they could of texted me and she stated only a land line on their end.I also noticed her pink bow was missing on collar. See picture.I don’t normally complain but I find this grooming inappropriate.I paid $ 70 and receptionist asked if I wanted to give a tip. I reluctantly did it mentioning I haven’t even seen my dog.I called to complain and sent written letter to owner Paula Anderson with no reply back or reimbursement.

I brought my ragdoll cat Tuna to Paula this morning. I read wonderful reviews about Healthy Choice Pet Supplies and their grooming services. I used to take Tuna to a groomer in Spencerport and she was absolutely wonderful with him, but unfortunately he doesn't do so great on car rides and by the time I would get him to her, he would be so exasperated that there was only so much she could do for him without giving him a heart attack. So, I decided to try closer to home. Not only was Paula super accommodating in suggesting to bring Tuna in first thing in the morning being his first time visiting and needing to get used to the surroundings, but Tuna took to her so well and she was so incredibly patient with him. Like most cats, my cat doesn't like baths. By the time she was done with the actual grooming, he had become a little stressed. She let him just chill in the room on his own to calm down and after he had calmed down, gave him a bath and a blow out. She took her time with him and was so patient and caring and my Tuna is looking like his handsome self again! We will definitely be returning every 2 months for his regular grooming appointments and purchasing all of our doggy and kitty pet supplies from Healthy Choice Pet Supply & Grooming, as well. Paula is officially my hero for being able to give my Tuna the full works, he can be handful and she took him on so willingly and did such a phenomenal job with him. Far exceeded my expectations and Tuna came home chill as a cucumber, not stressed at all and according to my husband was silent and happy the entire ride home....this NEVER happens!!! Thank you so very much, Paula! We will be back and I hope and pray that you are not going anywhere anytime soon or I will be the one having a heart attack. We are now Healthy Choice Pet Supply & Grooming customers for life!!!!

This place has well stocked products for a lot of different pets including the exotic ones. My friend was looking for a particular brand of fish filter cartridge replacements but unfortunately found the price to be considerably more expensive than what she pays elsewhere. Still it was interesting to see what they had to offer and the staff was approachable and knowledgeable. They also offer different activities and clinics on a regular basis.

We explained our issue and she took the time to understand and help.When your cat has IBS that the vet can’t find a reason or a cure, you have learn how to change the environment to help both cat and human. I take my dog here to get her nails done since she won't let me do it myself. Every person that has done it has been great. Quick and gentle. I also buy my dog and cat food from them because they carry the better brands. So happy to have this shop in Chili!

Healthy Choice is the best! I thought because they are a small, neighborhood store, that the prices would not be competitive... I was wrong! Not only are they competitive, they are friendly, close to home and attentive to our needs. They did an excellent job grooming our Cairn Terrier Lucy too! Took my baby here to get his nails trimmed. Very unhappy. They were very cold and not compassionate at all. Never even talked to my dog. Took him in the other room held him down (forcefully) and just chopped his nails. He was bleeding and they never even cared. Said to just leave it. It would stop. Won't be back again.

They do a great job clipping my dog's nails. She is in and out in less than a minute, and they're very gentle with her! Just make sure to call ahead before bringing your dog in.

I just took my dogs for a walk in nail trim. The staff was great! They took them right back and did a quick nail trim. My dogs are normally fearful of nail trimester but both came out happy. I definitely recommend this store/groomer to everyone.
