This is your typical family dollar, with typical family dollar items. The thing not typical about this place is the automated message that goes off when you open the door informing you that this location is under constant observation. The barred windows paired with the welcome message, make this location feel a bit like a jail cell rather than a shopping center.

Very unprofessional employees. One employee stood at the door yelling on the phone about her DSS case. The employee cashing out could not grasp the concept that I paid $20.02 for my $9.52 balance due so I could receive an even $10 & 50 Cents back. This store is also very dirty. on the floors & shelves.

It's ok, but the family dollar franchise needs to step there image up ! Just about every family dollar has trash all over the place in front and parking lots! If you are going to take our money, at lease use a few dollars to help maintain your property's and help us maintain our city cleaner...

Dirty, unorganized, lots and lots of garbage and potholes in the parking lot. Cashier was super friendly and offered us a coupon that was left behind to receive $5.00 off our $26.00 purchase. The wait in line was very short even though there was 3 customers ahead of us

I have worked in the customer service field for over 30 years in which most of that time has been in retail. This family Dollar location should not be put in any ranking of a category of good, moderate, or sublime adequate sevice. I made the unfortunate stop today to grab some house supplies, I should of knew from the unkept pothole parking lot that this visit was not going to be a good visit, to one of my favorite quick stop and shop places. I walked in and right at the door blocking looking me and my wife over hard was a young security guard whom of which looked as if he just came from 130 south plymouth (our local jail). From there the manager on duty yelling at me and my wife to take our hoods off so they can see our face clearly. I asked the reason why especially since the elderly woman that came in before us had a hood on and was of a different race did not get asked this question. The manager did not give no reason and I told my wife we will not buy anything out of here and let's go. I will be filing a complaint with my local government office cause this was a blainet sign of racial profiling, I tried call customer care and I waited on hold for more than 1 hour and 20 min before the line was disconnected. My advice for anyone never never never stop at the Family Dollar at 189 Portland Ave in the city of rochRoche NY.

I've shopped at both Portland Ave Family Dollar, the one on East Main and the one ones on North Clinton and they're all slow and way too small, they need to work at night to stock the shelves cause when or if they have customers its hard going down the aisles to get some shopping done.

The females that work at these family dollar are being harassed and sexual assaulted by their bosses and corporate. These bosses and corporate are harassing the females to go on a date with them and to have sex with them in return to move up in position and increase their hourly pay, I know many females who are being harassed and nothing is be done to stop it.

The parking lot has nothing but trash on the outside of this store it's very nasty and unpleasant too park your car or even step foot outside your car, it's been like this for month's a dirty parking lot why hasn't anyone cleaned the parking lot? It look like an landfill... You guys lost a customer because of the dirty parking lot

They chooce to do their truck at 8 am and close the store for three.hours. meanwhile inside can see workers just talking might not take as long if people were working
