Great thrift stop! Good selection, clothes is more on the dated side, but that is too be expected. I got some good tops and they have a good mix of cool jewelry at times too. Pricing is fair and they don’t have a restroom, it is closed at the moment. They have a few fitting rooms and one of them is accesible. Also keep an eye out for the daily colored tags that offer a certain percentage off!

Large selection and clothing is of okay quality. However, the prices, especially on furniture, are out of hand. I saw a dresser being sold for $200... Beat up nightstands for $25-40... And the goodwill down the road has more reasonable pricing.

Way better deals here. Plus they don't put out items that should've been thrown out. In all I like spending my $$ here.. beware one of the cashier's has an attitude problem. I did buy other stuff..but it's not in the pics.

Very large second hand store with massive selection of clothes and furniture. Items are of mixed quality and as much as you’d expect at any second hand store. The walls are lined with large shelves with household items, kid’s games and toys, small electronics, and jewelry. The used book selection is below average. Overall a great addition and one of the largest second hand stores in the county. Highly recommend. Can be difficult to spot from the busy road of 252/Jefferson. Look for it.

I bought this at a price of $199, and it was not working. They told me that you can return it within 10 days. When I went back to return it, they did not accept it, and they said that there is no return. It was a very bad experience. I do not advise anyone to buy from here.

Rarely feel the need to review a store but this is probably the best thrift in Rochester. nice staff, selection rotates regularly, amazing furniture and I always walk out with a cool shirt

Always a wide selection of items. If you’re searching for furniture, clothing, or household appliances this is a great place to go. Prices are fair and generally cheaper than goodwill.

Solid thrift store, lots to see, decent amount of furniture too. Found an awesome New Balance jogging jacket thats basically brand new (just a little dirty) for $10, cant beat it. Goes to show you can find gold if you have the patience to look. A ton of clothes to look through and plenty of glassware products as well. Dont bother shopping for electronics though. Would return if Im in the area again. Staff/employees are nice enough as well.

Big store with good selection at better prices. If you're a card member you get rewards for money off your next order. Well worth it and you can use a barcode right on your phone via the app. They have half off clothing for senior citizens on Mondays and half off clothing for college students on Tuesdays. All the employees are helpful. If you shop there you basically always get a coupon for $4 off your next purchase of $15 good for 10 days. So if you get $15 bucks worth of stuff every 10 days or so you'll maximize your savings. Plus amvets serve a worthy cause and that's always something you can feel good about.

It's a decent thrift store comparable to Goodwill. It was tough to stay at the store for an extended period of time since it was very stuffy and stale smelling all throughout. It was worse by the area with armchairs and couches where it smelled like urine. If need be, as a last resort I'd go there for something necessary.

It’s hit or miss. The manager is kind of rude. I mean, there was a very loved rug that said $8 and he wanted to up it to $20… like no. It’s not brand new first off and it’s already tagged.Sometimes you get good deals but, it’s rare anymore.

Decent selection. Normal thrift store condion. Last week the cashier did not say anything while ringing us out. She wore headphones and was talking to someone on the phone the entire time. She did not give us one of the bags so we lost two items that were paid for.

Frickin LOVE this place!!! If you need-cheap NICE armchairs-shelf’s-bar wareThis is the place to go! I also love going here for holiday decorations a month before each holiday because they’ll bring it out ahead of time!Also it’s not too cramped so you don’t have to always worry about socially distancing!

This is my go-to thrift store, especially for reasonably priced items and furniture. They're also my go-to for donations since a portion of all their proceeds go to helping veterans, especially those in the Rochester and surrounding communities. Great staff who are very helpful as well! Keep up the fantastic work!

As with any thrift store, the selection varies with every visit. For such a large store many of the shelves are surprisingly bare. Which is doubly surprising as many of their prices are too high. Clothes are in abundance however. And they actually have a t-shirt section, unlike some other thrift stores.

I called over a month ago, and then two weeks ago, and left messages for someone to call me back regarding how to donate. Never received a call back, never. I called this morning and someone actually answered the donation information line, I asked why I have never received a call back, and was told they have been busy due to the holiday, the Holiday being Memorial Day which was 2 days ago, not 2 weeks or even a month ago. I like to donate to veterans causes, as my husband is a veteran, however, these people can’t even pick up a phone to call you back. I guess they have all of the donations they need without mine.

I wanted to make a report about a woman I think is named Brenda at the Amvets in Rochester NY, the Henrietta location. I’m not sure why, but every time I go she walks up to me and says in a judgmental, aggressive tone “I see you have all this stuff in your cart and I’m closing the dressing rooms soon so just know that you can’t use them” when it’s two hours before closing and I’m no where near the dressing room or even planning on trying anything on (I usually never try anything on) Sometimes she will walk up near me and bump into me and say “excuse me” in a sour tone, or fiddle with a hanger angrily on a rack unnecessarily close to me. I’m not sure if she thinks I’m someone else or if she is like this to everyone, but I also work in retail so I try my best to be a very considerate shopper, I’ve never left a mess, always fold my items and organize the hangers before check out...my mom raised me to be polite and kind to those around me. I’ve never filed a complaint In my life but there is something going on with this woman and it hinders my ability to enjoy shopping at my favorite thrift store. Hopefully this gets back to her and she will try and be more of an enjoyable presence to be around.

Sr. discount on Mondays, college student discount on Tuesdays, always a vet discount. They have a rewards card.. accumulate points and get additional $ off a future purchase. Also when spending $11, you'll get a coupon for $4 off a $15 purchase usable for 10 days but not on the day you get the coupon. Also they have 2 colors tags of the week...one will be 50% off and the other 25% off. Watch for 50% off entire store on some holidays.

Place is clean and employees are friendly. Prices can be really high considering it's all donated. $4.99 for a used curtain panel is a little ridiculous when you can get a pair at Walmart or Christmas tree shop for the same price. Clothing prices in my opinion are high, again you can get it new for the same price or a couple dollars more. I've actually caught original price tags on clothing that were cheaper than what they charge.

I ADORE this thrift store. Every time I go I end up finding exactly what I am looking for. There are so many beautiful and unique pieces. Highly recommend going and checking it out. Reasonable prices and very clean.

This is my go-to place for Everything! Always a wide selection of lightly used goods. Clothes, decorations of all types, toys, movies, furnature, craft supplies...It is such a joy to shop with the peace of mind that you are saving so much money, supporting veteran support services (instead of sweatshops, or even the Goodwill corporation), recycling, AND getting a more diverse selection of clothes than you would get in a department store. Everytime I go, I let myself go wild, often getting 3 outfits and a pair of shoes, and I never manage to spend over $60.

I really like amvets.... They change lives, this charity donates to war veterans... There reputation speaks for themselves on WikipediaYou'll be impressed as I was.. you'll feel good knowing your money is going to good causes, ending veterans homelessness.... Also they furnish vets homes.The store itself is really big, has a huge variety of clothes for the entire family, kids toys, house wares, prom dresses, evening gowns, Mes suits holiday decor, curtains, shoes. Even good quality furniture. They have fitting rooms to try clothing on. And you can even get a discount card. 😁 I took a Star for having that old moldy second hand smell when I walked in. Over all though it's a place I feel good about spending my money. Because they actually give back to the community.
