They had what I needed when all the big box stores did not. I was able to call ahead and confirm on the phone. The person who answered the phone was able to help me and verify it was in stock. I located what I was looking for very quickly and the checkout clerk was very delightful. This is a very nice store, it's clean, laid out well and well stocked. I will absolutely go back for future projects.

I love this place. Neat, clean and helpful staff. Everything you need for backyard chickens and other critters, in addition to all the supplies they have for indoor pets. Not to mention a great lawn and garden section.

I just love this place.. I drive out from Bay Shore to get all my chicken/henn supplies. They are the only place that has non-medicated and medicated organic chicken grower feed. The people are very friendly and helpful there. You never have to wait long for service, it's always quick... and it's not difficult to get to.

Sales person thought he didn't have What my husband was shopping for but he volunteered to take a look. Lo and behold, Agway had exactly what my husband wanted.2 "thank yous" for taking an extra moment !! Good customer service is rare but appreciated. We'll be back.

The staff is always accomodating and friendly. They have a large variety and are willing to order anything you need if they dont have it. Much more pleasant than other Agway in Miller Place area and better selection, especially for goats, chickens, equestrian type animals. They also have various workshops/classes you can attend. Bee keeping supplies, canning supplies, beer kits, lawn care and supplies, plants, fencing, etc., etc & more ! Highly recommend, may be a drive for most but worth it ! Call before you go to make sure and you'll save yourself the trip, if you know what you're looking for 😆

I've been going to Talmage farms Agway in Riverhead for over 25 years. For everything from horse food, chicken food all cleaning supplies, wheelbarrows, water buckets and new hoses over and over threw the years. The employees are wonderful and are there to help you with answers to questions you have and always with a smile

Nice people but disappointed regarding their choice of hatchery and how they care for their chicks. I ordered specific breeds and when I went to pick them up, I was told 2 were not available and had to choose substitutions. Then one I ordered, was given to me, and told was a Rhode Island Blue hen turns out to be a completely different breed and a rooster. When I called to tell them what I found out, they said that The hatchery will sometimes substitute if they don’t have items available. Well shouldn’t Talmadge pass that info on to the consumer? And the type of breed I received wasn’t even available on Talmage’s list. So how is it that they received it? To be honest, I was also disappointed in how they care for their chicks. Many chicks were left unattended and to die among all the other chicks in the brooders. Geez!!! Take them out and try to help them, or something. Customers should not see dying chicks among the ones that they are purchasing. It is quite disheartening and it leads a consumer to think that their products are not healthy. It was very sad to see. I get that they are a cheap commodity, but if all they may need is to be shown “how” to drink or eat, then that’s easy to fix... if it’s something else, then separate them from the rest.

I have been buying from Agway for 30 years in Riverhead, N.Y.. I noticed several things the deabilated look outside as opposed to the other Agways outside of Riverhead. Those are beautiful and abundant in many shrubs and plants. My trip today was based on the usual spurting our local businesses. The other main reason per a family vote because they are still recognizing the importance of mask wearing. Well we arrived were going to continue our shopping when a man entered a cashier requested a mask he refused and continued to shop!! At other Agways I've witnessed the sign that states Agway states masks ARE TO BE WORN AT THEIR ESTABLISHMENT. THOUGH I'm no longer the named person on the account my child and spouse shop regularly based soley on supporting local shops and the mask policy. We have our vaccines because we are either front line workers or we have serious illnesses that make it easier to confidently shop with ease knowing masks and distancing is still accepted, acknowledged for others lie small children as well. How he just ignored the store policy is beyond words.

I called about a problem getting the chain on a Husqvarna chainsaw, and left a message . They called me back within an hour, I brought the chainsaw in and the fixed the problem immediately! A week later, I had trouble starting the same chainsaw. My wife stopped by, but the repair guy was out to lunch. He called back in 45 minutes and said that he'd caught my wife before she left the store with the chainsaw, and fixed the starting problem.This is a business that truly cares about the customer. If you need any product they sell, go here. I live about 30 miles away unfortunately, but I will travel that distance after my experience with their customer service and informed and helpful staff.

Very disappointed , i suppose have ordered a baby chicks i was waiting for a month actually i already talked to someone who works in that place the day when i order, i called them because i had suppose to pick them up may 8 but they told me that i will call when they got my order, next day i went personally to find out what happen with my order then they surprised me they told me that i never made that order. i told them it is not possible because when i made that order they call me back saying that they did not have some chicks . and we fix together that order and sent it. never gonna use talmage farm agway.
