Best pastry chef! This is our second time using this bakery for our birthday celebrations and we can’t say enough about Yajaira. Cakes are delicious and her work is pure art. Thank you for the amazing experience every time!

They have done a really great job upgrading the store. Everyone is super helpful and willing to help you out. When you ask where something is They don't just tell you what isle it's in, they take you there. Very good customer service. I'm there alot.

Locally owned and staffed supermarket with many homemade products. Just recently renovated the inside of the store and are currently working on the exterior and the surrounding areas and parking lot. The new store looks great and is spotlessly clean. They have several new sections including a daily freshly cooked buffet, sushi, great meat and butcher, seafood, produce etc. They also have an inside craft section of homemade non food related items including candles and many home decor items. Out in front of the store they sell flowers and plants in the warmer months and Christmas trees and wreaths in November and December. Friendly and helpful staff.

Thanks to Ellen and the folks at The Market in Pound Ridge for catering an incredibly delicious feast of appetizers and a dinner buffet. We held my birthday party for 80 people and every piece of food we ordered was delicious and cooked perfectly. Guests were so happy. They have an amazing selection of food to choose from and were so helpful in pulling it all together. Highly recommended on all accounts. Thank you Ellen!

The Market has it all from fresh seafood, baked goods, deli, prepared foods and excellent meat selections. It has a small town vibe with lots of charm. Love shopping here.

Shoppers beware. This place needs a facelift, a pricing intervention, and customer service training for the bratty cashiers. Meet the $14 strawberry.

Very cute shops! Easy to find and good parking. The market was amazing and I wish I could've stayed and perused the aisles more, it looked like there was unique stuff. They don't sell wine but I guess that is a CT law (I was in from out of state). Fun little dinosaur statutes in the front for kids too.

Great small town market that is not incredibly overpriced like other area small town markets. Great made to order sandwiches. Had a chicken cutlet avocado greens and honey mustard whole wheat wrap. It was very well served with two pickle slices for 12 bucks. Today they had an event with around 20 vendors with live music from Smokey O as well as prepared hot food outside including what I was told was that delicious lamb pita. It's exactly what you want your local market to be. If I lived in Pound ridge this would be my go to the spot pretty much several times a week.

Very clean a fully stocked with a wide selection of produce. The prepared food section is very creative. They even have craft beer. Deli and meat department are full of tasty choices worth a trip away from the big box supermarket for the same price. It has a flower shop as well as giftware

The manager lisa is incredibly unkind and truly unfit for a customer service position. I thought she was perhaps just consistently rude to me but after a number of times witnessing her speaking poorly to other customers and her colleagues Ive decided to no longer shop here. Store itself is very nice and was convenient

High prices, but convenient location and an impressive selection -- agave syrup, organic vegetables, recycling trash bags, dairy free cheese and ice cream, and nice bakery goods (scones, biscotti and buttermilk biscuits).

Very good local market, with decent variety and service. The specials and sales help. They do much good for the community. Not the least expensive, but convenient.

Good food, but prices are too high and I am consistently overcharged prices as marked. Have noticed this issue with pastries, coffee, and beer. Not sure if the issue lies with the cashier or the stocking staff but it is a pervasive problem.

Amazing market great prices awesome prepared foods. Friendly helpful staff. My new favorite place to shop!!! Try it out you won't be dissapointedUpdate June 24 18.I had the opportunity to look at their redesigned fish counter. I got soft shell crabs, skate wing fish and prawn shrimps. This is some of the most tasteful fresh fish I have ever had. The skate wing I had never heard of but was recommended to me by the staff there so I decided to try it. It's like eating heaven.GO CHECK OUT THE FISH ITS WORTH THE TIME!

I travel to this market from danbury ct. It's only a short drive usually about 20 to 25 minutes. Everything is always fresh here. The seafood was amazing and the prices well much better than anywhere else on most items. They always have great sales and they constantly bring in new products to try out.The staff is always friendly and so helpful. If you need help finding items they will not just point and say where, they will walk you there to make sure you find it.Need help with your shopping list just ask at the courtesy desk!. Try the prepared foods I have never been disappointed. From the meat department they always have an amazing selection. And the food lasts.! It doesn't spoil quickly so you can buy prepared foods and even eat it about a week later no problems. You want a hometown market that supports the local community and is locally owned and operated you need to go here. They always have something great to try !!!

The market is newly renovated. The isles are wider. It has a very upscale look but with that hometown feel. They have great prepared meals, a terrific deli department, and fresh seafood that is out of this world. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. Go see for yourself.

Higher Prices, and Worth it. Excellent presentation of food. Plenty of Space. Great Ambiance. Friendly cashiers. It's about buying high quality at this grocery store. It's high end and worth every penny.

Great supermarket in a small town. Has been wonderful during the Covid-19 Pandemic in keeping the local community supplied with necessities. Family owned business that shows great leadership in town. Always available to help with all events and individual needs of their values customers.

UPDATE TO MY REVIEW BELOW:I don't know what happened between my review below and now but my experience the other day was a complete turn-around. The woman at the deli asked me how she could help as soon as I approached the counter. Other employees who were not even helping me raised their heads to say "Hi, how are you today." The cashier did the same. Such small things go such a long way. I wanted to go back inside and buy things I didn't even need! Wow, I hope it stays like that. That's what we want in every store but especially a small community store. Terrific!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This was my 1 star review:I typically don't write bad reviews unless I have hope that there will be improvement based on what's said. I’m resubmitting this because my other (similar) review either didn’t go through or got deleted. My wife and I were fortunate to see the dramatic change from the old market to The Market at Pound Ridge Square. The courtyard is terrific especially when there are events. We really like the size of the market and the selection is more than adequate. HOWEVER, the customer service is really lacking. One manager, who would scold the cashiers in front of other customers, is thankfully gone but the energy of the store is still off. I can't explain it succinctly it but something is missing. You can be waiting on line watching the cashiers (sometimes with a manager) chatting. Someone will eventually turn around and take care of you. When the new market first opened, I asked the manager if they had a particular item, she didn’t know what it was or where it would be (which was okay) but there was no effort to say, "Hey let's find it." One of the customers on line said ... "Oh that's in aisle 1." Another time, I told the manager that I'd just looked up and down the aisle for a product. She continued to tell me..."Well, it's there on the left." I just got through telling her that I'd walked up and down and could not find it. Most stores, even the largest would say..."Let me help you find it." I left without the item. Another time, a cashier pointed out that if I bought 12, he thought that I'd get a discount. I said, "Great." But then we just proceeded to stare at each other until I said, "Would you like to find out if that's the case." Twilight Zone! I can't tell you how many times, I've seen employees chatting with each other while ignoring customers. You can stand at the deli counter or the check-out line for too long before someone takes notice. I personally don't like shouting or interrupting by saying "Hello, can someone help me please." And that's the general vibe of the store...half asleep or seemingly not caring. It's great that the employees seem to get along with each other but not at the expense of the customers. We want to go into a welcoming environment and we're usually not wanting to wait until your conversation is over. Once and awhile, okay but it's too frequent. This is a neighborhood store. The prices are not always competitive so it doesn't take much to decide where you want to spend your money - in a store that acts as if your business doesn't really matter or a TJs where you feel like their only customer. We can easily take different routes home in order to go to another store but we’d like to keep our money in our community. We'll have faith that one day, we'll walk into The Market and the staff will actually look up and say "Good Morning, how are you?" even if you're just walking down the aisles. SMILE, take a second to look up from what they're doing to say "Hi, are you finding everything you need today? " Send them off with a smile and thank them for stopping in today. These little courtesies go a long way and come from the top down.

Nice atmosphere. Nice employees. They charge $30 for 150 oz Tide versus Costco at $15. What other products are overpriced? Not sure I can trust this store's prices anymore.

"Expensive" doesn't do this place justice. We stopped in for a tuna salad sandwich, and while full sized, it cost $22.99!! I didn't see a price posted anywhere. So if you too would be shocked by a 23 DOLLAR tuna sandwich (we'd ordered two so it was $46 plus tax) make sure to ask the price before ordering anything. One star off since the actual tuna was very cold and not very tasty and another star off for being the most expensive sandwich I've ever ordered in my 65 years. If the price had been posted, I'd have gotten something else.

This place used to be nice but last couple times, i had a bad experience. A rude cashier completely ignore me. I would love to support local business even though they are very expensive but no more. Never again.

One of a kind market. On my daughters 5th birthday, we realized we were out of ice cream for her cake, we quickly went to this market to grab some, when we arrived they had already closed. The manager notified outside and came out to let us in, opened up the store and let us get the ice cream! Not many places treat customers this well!

Me and my crew of tower climbers stopped in on our way to work on a local tower. When we walked in and seen the breakfast buffet our jaws dropped. The food was absolutely out of this world. Eggs, potatoes, bacon, and sausage heaven. We look forward to stopping here every morning on our way to the tower. Sadly Monday will be our last day on this job, but the legend of The Market breakfast buffet will live on for years. Well done!

There are some good things, and some very bad things about this place. The main problem about this place is I walked in looking for help, and I was very rudely treated and disrespected by the manager who I believe is named Lisa. She also smoked her cigarette right outside the store and I could still smell it on her. Disgusting! I believe in order for this establishment to continue, I expect to not see Lisa there anymore. Thank you.
