My Town Marketplace could be a totally sufficient grocery store except for the people they hire to work the checkout lanes. They are so unfriendly, completely dismissive, and utterly useless. I would have to work extra hard simply to be so bad at my job. Calling them 'mediocre' would be a huge stretch in their favor. I know hiring is hard, but the people that own this store must not care about much.

The prices are unjustifiably high. The last two times I went, I walked out without buying anything because of the eye-popping prices. Meat was actually cheaper at Adams. The lighting is nice though.

I’m going to give them 5 stars because most of the employees are awesome!I do have one complaint the hamburger u sell is always brown. Maybe u guys could work on getting better hamburger?!Otherwise we know the prices are high because we are in StoneRidge, it is what it is!Jeff is great in the Deli department!

This is terrible honestly you should be ashamed of yourselves , now vets can’t get discounts except once a week ? And look at your prices … posts on fb going viral of your wrong doings …. Everyone is going to find this out …

I love their house blend coffees. It's a great stop for groceries, deli and prepared foods. I hope they can keep up with the demands of social distancing!

They’ve done a lot of remodeling, reorganizing, and stock changes that make navigating different preferences (eg organic vs conventional) very easy. I’ve noticed an uptick in locally sourced inventory and would like to see more! Local and or organic fish options consistently would be a great option.

Wide range of products and the store is constantly upgrading it's facilities. Sales are a great money saver and discount programs for veterans, seniors and families also provide great value. This store is owned by the same owners of Emmanuel's in Stone Ridge. The budget conscious will shop here as pricing is better than Stone Ridge. Recent upgrades of all facilities at Emmanuel's must necessitate higher prices to cover costs of upgrades. Next door is a Dollar Store which offers affordable alternatives on many name brand products. Continually adding organic and non GMO foods. Great money saving by shopping weekly sale items.

Went in to rent a carpet cleaner. When I got it home, there was a note on it that said it leaked and did not work. I called back within minutes and talked to the young lady who rented it to me, and she said they would not issue me a refund. Since I had my furniture moved to the middle of the floor it was imperative to do it today. She said she was the manager, but when my wife returned it, the real manager came out, apologized, and gave her a refund. This little customer service kid knew nothing about kindness or customer service. Rude and not accommodating. We went to Walmart and got a cleaner for the day.

Nice grocery store. Not a big box, but has what you need, and prices are ok.

Emmanuel's was a great grocery store; My Town Marketplace is not. The previous managers/owners made the store easy to navigate, had quality products, took requests, had a friendly staff and always made me feel respected as a loyal customer. I actually looked forward to shopping every Thursday, which I did for over a decade. The new management is impersonal and won’t even talk to me if I have an issue. I have started to drive the extra miles to go to Adams in Kingston since they are kind to their customers and generous with the community. Wednesday nights are 10% off the entire purchase. Maybe my new nickname will be Wednesday instead of Thursday;)

Really nice store. Great bakery, meat department, produce, and beer selection. Prices are a little high but it's a mom and pop and the only place to get groceries for 15 miles in either direction

I have been shopping here for 17 years. Within the last 3 years the quality of their produce has declined significantly. There is a 50/50 chance that it will be spoiled and if not, it will be tomorrow, you better use it that day. I have also gotten rotten eggs, and moldy apple gate cheese there. The worst part is that the prices are ridiculous! I used to shop there weekly. Now along with many other locals, we go there when we are desperate and need just a FEW things, pure convenience. We usually regret that too. It’s a shame. The only positive thing is the few remaining long time staff that I love! Stay away and take the trip into Kingston!!!

No sense of community and who their regulars are. They stock expired goods and / or goods that have expired before the date they are supposed to but are spoiled and will not take returns. I presume they aren't handling goods with proper storage before stocking or they are getting some sort of discount for almost expired. Who knows, but what I do know is they don't care when you talk with them about it. Your either $ or not $ to them. Lisa, one of the owners is the worst. I'm sharing my experience with friends who like me have shopped there for years when it was Emmanuel's, I'm hearing similar experiences so I've decided to express my disappointment here.

Went to the bathroom and found that the fire escapes were blocked! Prices were a little high but the selection was good.

Nice produce, decent selection of frozen, pantry, etc. Meat and dairy are a bit pricier than expected. Watch for mis-merchandised product--it makes the prices very misleading.

It's a small store, they definitely need help in the delicatessen. The service was at a very slow pace at best.

The quality has really declined since the ownership change. Produce is horrible. Bakery items stale. Prices more expensive than NYC on most items.

This store is totally amazing, they are almost to the point of being Fanatical, when it comes to freshness. At the register I will stop soon I’m purchasing a squash because it had a little bruise the size of a dime on it. And they politely asked me to go get another one after telling me that it was damaged. Went back to produce gentleman there named William Billy had told me they throw things out worse than less than that because of their standard of freshness and Quality. You will pay higher but you will pay for the best pound for pound product that includes meat produce or anything fresh

I went to Emanuel's. The prices are very high on some products but I will more than likely return to the shopping center to experience the other stores there. What I like about it is that the selection is more specialized than your more generic supermarket. Nice people and good service.

It's a remarkably well-stocked little supermarket. The sheer number of quality offerings it has in a relatively small space is impressive. Basics along with more esoteric items. Locally made along with high-end imports. A great on-site kitchen and bakery. The staff, especially at the app counter, is very friendly. It's a well-managed, well-maintained gem.

Emmanuel's market price is a good store but is very pricey. You can get some of the things they sell their for cheaper at different stores. Their meat is over priced along with their meals. Their selection when it comes to dairy and non dairy products is over priced. Some items are good to get their like fresh rolls and muffins. But the deli is expensive and overcharge for potato salad and other salads and things they offer. The deli meat which walmart uses the same, they charge to much for a pound and again can be found cheaper at another store that has a deli. Their meat selection isn't very large. If you need something right away and your in the area the store is good, but shopping their for groceries for the house not one or two things...it will end up being more expensive than Walmart. Bottle water is even expensive as well as toilet paper and paper towels. The store is good most of the time the stuff is put out by the deli is fresh, it's a store that is good to pick up a few items not your grocery list.

This will always be Emanuel's to me. I've lived in Stone Ridge my entire life and I'm honestly not a huge fan of the change over to My Town Marketplace. I do think the layout changes were a good thing overall and it still has some good deals and whatnot.

Nasty deli clerk. Store never has the sale items they list in there flyer. They claim sale items listed in there flyer are for a different store. Poor ownership, poor management. Prices are extremely high. This guy thinks he grocery store is located on 5th Ave in Manhattan.

The only full supermarket in the immediate Stone ridge, High Falls, Accord area. It has a great selection, freshness and quality, and moderate prices for a mid sized local store. Decent organic selection as well as craft beer. They have a separate pet supply next door that's equally good

Family, friends and I have been going here for years so I know how it is - it’s only fair you should too. If you’re strapped for time and need something to cook that day it will do in a pinch, if you’re expecting fresh food that will last longer than 2 days go somewhere else. Produce will go moldy (and cheese in a bad way lol) and meat will go sour after 24-48 hrs. I try to avoid doing full week shopping here, I suggest you do the same. I thought I was safe with potatoes because really how quick can a potato go bad?? Pictured below are yams I bought literally yesterday 😬

Nice clean store. A bit too crowded for my comfort. Aisles narrow, and difficult to navigate. Not many people and still too close for comfort. Always a great selection of everything, just don't feel safe in this Covid climate. Even with masks, not able to distance easily.

A solid local small grocery store with great produce and a wide selection of organic and vegetarian options. They often offer locally foraged wild mushrooms like chicken of the woods!Prices are on the high end, you'll not save money here. But you'll save time and gas if you're in the area, and can find a lot of local products as well.

I’ve been a loyal customer but I must remark that the people at the deli counter need to get their act together and wait on people in turn. They are willy-nilly or asleep on this. I simply stopped getting stuff after being frustrated and resolved to get the deli items I want somewhere else.
