Even though this store is noticeably dirty and sells expired dairy items, I do often stop there on my way home from work. I always take my receipt and review it when I return home. When I compare the price clearly marked (making sure it’s the correct weight of the item purchased) half the time it’s more expensive than it should be. I usually decide to do nothing and live with it. For example I purchased 6 cans of Cento artichokes (14 ounce cans) labeled $3.39 yesterday and was charged $4.39. So on this occasion I decided to call it to the managers (Michael) attention. After bringing him over to the misleading label (on the store shelf) he claimed it was my fault for buying the wrong item. All the cans were mixed up and all were labeled Artichokes 14 ounces. The label on the shelf didn’t specify which one was the sale item (just 14 ounce can was specified). It was obviously misleading (probably on purpose). Rather than being apologetic he chastised me for not comparing the tiny item numbers on the can! This is what to expect in this small, dimly lit Acme. Not once have I been undercharged for an item (just the opposite). If you go into this store it’s 50/50 that you’ll be overcharged and if you call it to the Managers (Mike) attention he’ll get nasty and tell you it’s your fault.

For years I used to stop at this store for groceries, before De Cicco's opened up a big store in Somers, much closer to home. The convenience of the location won, but the newly opened electric charging station in Goldens Bridge brought me back to revisiting the ACME right next to it. That made me rediscover how much more affordable the prices are. As charging can easily take 20-40 min even with EA fast charging, that turns out to be the perfect time to buy groceries at ACME instead of just waiting. Good selection of food items, excellent prices, lovely people at the registers...

Definitely an older location, but it’s a great local grocery store that I do my weekly shopping at! The ACME app is great and their deals are better than many other grocery stores in the area. We see the same staff, and Anthony is particularly helpful. They also have a variety of plant based options, which I appreciate too.

What is going on with the hot rotisserie chickens? I swear they are not chickens but parakeets. The smallest hot cooked birds ever. This is getting crazy. You can barely see them in the hot food bag. The price is the same though. I bet they pay the distributor by the pound, then they sell the chicken as each. This would barely feed one person for one meal.

My order was Horrible my food came in a plastic garbage bag my bread was smashed My poultry, cold cuts, fruit was in the same bag, Oreo cake decoration smooshed (not in bag) (Grocery store boxes think about it)!! Helium balloon which should have lasted for 5 days or more only lasted that day. Flowers were nicely wrapped and when you open them you knew why they were dying and two were broken $17 (not the ones I picked) this was a store replacement and proceeds goes to the veterans which was a great! The delivery person Received a $10 tip. The service should’ve been better will never order from them again take pride in what you do.“My personal opinion, Stick to the store you know”Good Luck

We were there recently. The item scanned the wrong price, went to check with the cashier and we were correct. Manager got involved and was very rude to the cashier, didn't believe the cashier and went to see for herself. Later , manager was again nasty to the cashier, because she had to authorize the price change on the computer. Seemed it was too much work for her ! The cashier was not at fault. In fact, we felt bad for the treatment that she had to endure.

Pretty much done with this store. Signature brand is good and the small store makes finding things easy but impossible to get through checkout. Too many times I have just left my basket and walked out because two checkouts open and one is having a problem needing manager assistance leading to long lines and long wait times. Often get to the front of the line only to have the cashier announce she is now on break and walks away. Today was the final straw, buying two items, two lanes open, one has a long line and the express cashier is completely dumfounded over a credit reversal, once again put my basket down and walked out, don't have time to spend 15 minutes waiting for the staff to get their act together.

The local small grocery that carries most essential items at avg prices. Checkout can be slow depending on customer volume and the cashier you get lol. Good for quick essential shopping but go to larger chains for better prices and more selection.

It blows my mind when companies cry over closing their doors! Customers don’t shut down businesses, your employees do! Every time I come to this supermarket it’s like I’m bothering everyone! They are doing me a favor, not the other way around. I’m standing at the deli for over 5 minutes the lady is cleaning something doesn’t want to be interrupted. I go around pick my other items up, return to the deli counter and of course she has an attitude!The sad part is that most of the employees are middle aged but they are the rudest! The younger employees like a young gentleman by the name of John are actually pleasant and well mannered. We have the nerve to wonder why businesses are suffering and the internet is exploding with sales? Because people are sick and tired of dealing with negative and non existent customer service!!

Clean and well organized. Manager is friendly and helpful. Cashier not so much. I could not remember my phone number at the check out and I tried two different numbers then that was it. I was not allowed to try another number to see which one worked.Cashier was difficult to understand.

This place is a decent replacement for the old A&P, which was there literally forever. As a local place it serves its purpose but it's a bit on the small side to have all of the bells and whistles that suburban peeps have come to expect from the Wegmans of the world. The prices trend slightly higher but the sales are very good. It gets a bad rap from locals, but it's really not bad and saves the trip to Kisco, Stew Leonard's or Trader Joe's.

The store is too small. The staff tries hard, but between seasonal items and need to fit the regular items, they are stuck between a rock and a hard place for properly stocking the store.A grocery store that can have the bare essentials, yet miss key items like certain kinds of stock around the holidays.

Convenient with decent prices and growing selection of product but ACME is clearly saving money on their new hires. Most are friendly but had two unpleasant experiences with rude personnel recently (the same person twice). Sours the experience. Management should visit more often.....the problem would be easy to spot.

Good little neighborhood supermarket where you can pick up basic necessities. Very convenient to Lewisboro and North Salem folks; just off NY 22 at North Street near NY 138. Not most price competitive in the region but they have some good specials. Organics selection small but improving with time. Paper goods rather pricey. Fish ok especially if on sale - and you can sometimes get a 30% Off Manager's Special on fish if you luck out - and can cook/consume it timely.

Small selection of products, but that's due to the size of the store / space. Also a bit pricey! But it's good for last minute items that you may have forgotten. I wouldn't do my bulk shopping here.

There is rarely more than 0ne person ahead of you at checkout. There are more choices in nearly every department. Every day prices are lower. Their 'Signature' house brand products are equal to or better than the higher priced national brand names that are higher priced.

When at the cashier, i'm interested in paying and leaving. The cashier wants to waste my time with these damm games. She asked if i play monopoly.Two minutes later, i returned to buy something else. Once again, she asked if i play monopoly.Perhaps, i should smash her next time she asks question. Maybe then she will remember my answer

Wasn't crowded,but they were out of cart wipes and there was no way to know if they had been disinfected. Hand sanitizer was hard to find as well. It was only at the chexkniut lines. Shame

Entrance to supermarket is confusing for new comers. Easily seen from highway, but no direct path from highway to shopping center. Must take some local roads before reaching store. I must say, Acme has the best deals and sales of any supermarket I know. I live almost equal distance between 3 different grocery stores. Acme is my go to, each time.

This changed rating is for the ACME in Brewster, We were there yesterday and thers has been a dramatic improvement. Produce was very good and prices were lower.

I always would go to the one near my house in Golden’s bridge. I was buying a few items and the woman didn’t bag them so I asked for a bag. She told me now the store charges 10 cents per bag. That’s ridiculous. They are going to lose a lot of customers I’m not shopping there anymore. I have never heard of a super market charge for bagging. What a disappointment.

I really only come here out of convenience as I live near by. Prices are higher than usual. They have gotten a little better since changing over to acme from A&P. This is a smaller super market and at times the check out lines seem to take forever as there are only a few of them.

It is very close by my house. It is not expensive and have good products. Parking lot is easy when I have my cart full. Nice supermarket to go for every day grocery needs

I know that no one is reading this, but if you can avoid this grocery store - do it! I would give them zero stars if I could. I didn’t even know reading a grocery store with something people did until I had the worst possible experience. Incompetence at its finest.

Was very happy with the new store at Golden's Bridge, particularly with the help I received in the meat department. The butcher there was went out of his way to be particularly helpful.

I’ve given this place so many tries because I live close but there’s always a handful of items on my list they either don’t have or sold out of. I just can’t with this place anymore. I’d rather just drive the distance and know everything I need will be there.

The sell expired goods there. On more than one occasion I've had to either throw away baby food or return them. Shopping afterwards I've seen my returned items back on the shelves

Worst grocery store in the area. Long lines guaranteed, while employees doing inventory and managers avoid frustrated customers at all costs. Typical poor retail experience. I've complained in-store; no one seems to care.
