Great little KOA located a short beautiful drive to the baseball Hall of Fame. Only stayed one night on our way through but found the campground to be clean quiet and friendly. Staff was great. Nice large pool, liner was a little rough but they were working on it no big deal. Lots of things to keep kids occupied. Overall highly recommend this KOA.

This was an absolutely amazing stop on my Journey. The grounds are beautiful, and the laundry room is large and clean. The spot I had looked out to the field and you can hear cows in the distance. I wasn't sure about the location when I saw it on the map, but it is perfect. If your plan is Cooperstown, the drive is less than half an hour, and it takes you along the lake. The best part of this KOA is the staff. From the work kampers to the owner, they bend over backward to make your stay pleasant. I had to stay an extra night and didn't realize it until the day before. Even though they were booked, somehow they managed to fit me in..And I didn't even have to change sites. The cell phone signal (Verizon) was great, too. And if you like stickers for your RV, the store had so many to pick from.

This campground is a true hidden gem. Located about 15 minutes from Cooperstown, the campground provides spacious sites, good firewood, clean facilities, and the hosts/staff are INCREDIBLY gracious and accommodating. There's a grocery store fairly nearby (~10 minutes away) and a few different pizza options around. In short, I highly recommend this location for anyone looking to spend a few days in/around Cooperstown.

We had a wonderful long holiday weekend. From check in to us leaving all was great!! Large sites, clean restrooms. Playground was good for the kiddo. Pool was nice but still a little cold for me. Kids did not care.Nearby activities: Cooperstown was a short drive away. This was a quite place to come back to after a long day walking the museums.

We stayed at this peaceful, scenic campground in September and really enjoyed our stay. The facilities are well maintained, the staff is super friendly and helpful and there is so much to do in the surrounding areas! It's a sweet little destination for a weekend/weekday getaway and I highly recommend a stay if you are looking to unwind and explore all that the Cooperstown area has to offer!

Had a quick one night stay on a trip and stayed two nights on our way back.First, the staff is extremely friendly. Probably some of the best we've met.Second, it's so peaceful and quiet here. The campground is immaculate, sites are beautiful and level and lots of space between each one. Dog park is clean and well kept, pool was spotless, and you can tell the owners take pride in their place. We would love to stay here again!Definitely one of the best KOA's we have been too.

We have stayed twice; once in 2009 and again this summer. Both times were EXCELLENT. The staff is friendly and helpful, the amenities are great (pool, play area, etc.), the bathrooms and showers are clean, and the views are spectacular! Stay here if you're headed to the baseball hall of fame.

This was the best choice for our maiden voyage. The staff is simply amazing, the campground, pool, facilities- all pristine and the views are lovely. We will definitely be back. Best of luck to the new owner who is as down to Earth and helpful as they come. Go Sox!

Security on premises. Other guests very friendly and welcoming.

Great KOA campground in a beautiful country setting with views of open fields. The grounds are very well maintained and though our gravel site was not super level, the owner helped us position with two wheels in the grass to optimize the site. Laundry facility was very clean and roomy, with four washers and dryers, sink, iron, and laundry baskets. Machines used quarters or PayRange app that allows you to pay and be notified when laundry cycles are completed. Didn’t use the shower/restroom facilities, so can’t comment. Friendly staff indicated they may be expanding and upgrading in the future to include more 50 amp hookups. We stayed three nights in mid-September 2022 in a 39 foot motorhome. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin this weekend and had the most amazing time. We arrived to a pristine hospital clean cabin with all the amenities I could ask for. Even a bathtub! There were chairs on the spacious deck, a bbq grill, air conditioning and decent sized fridg, and easy parking in a bucolic setting. The other campers were friendly and the entire campground was buzzing with happy people. We met lots of Red Sox fans and the office staff was incredibly helpful. I’d highly recommend a stay here. I look forward to returning to Cooperstown to stay with these great people again. Two thumbs up. Oh and did I mention the beautiful clean heated pool? Perfect for a getaway and a quick drive to downtown Cooperstown and all the great museums and shops while spending your vacation relaxing under the stars. Who could ask for more😎

I love the KOA chain! It is a very scenic location for a campground. It was wet and rainy when we stayed there a couple of days ago, but it did not dampen our spirits! The shower houses were better than I expected, the game room had a lot of fun games, it was clean and convenient. The staff are nice!

We have a 35 foot fifth wheel RV and were provided with a pull-through site near the main entrance. Very easy in and out with our Silverado dually and RV. Our stay was a few nights during a visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Cooperstown is about 20 minutes from the RV park and is a pleasant drive on a country road partially along Otsego Lake. The camp ground has a pool, game room, playground, hiking/walking areas and spacious sites. Our site had a picnic table fire pit / grill and full hook-up. The campground is well maintained and the view of the countryside is stunning especially during sunset. No issues with the site and overall the campground was low-key and quiet. Staff was helpful with the usual set of reasonable rules like quiet times and restrictions about using outside firewood. The internet service was quite good and we had no issues streaming videos to keep our grandson entertained. We enjoyed our stay there and will gladly visit again down the road.

PRISTINE, CLEAN. Super friendly staff greeted us for our first camping trip ever. They escorted us by golf cart to our grassy pad tent site. It was nice to see there was actually grass! At other campsites it's mostly tree roots, dirt and rocks. We had a nice clear view of the sky four star gazing at night. (We were by the cabins near the entrance area). We stayed in a tent, but we're very close to the cabins and they looked cute. We saw the staff disinfecting the pool chairs, which impressed me greatly. The staff limited the number of guests using the bathrooms in order to reduce CoVid risk, which is great. And the shower I used was clean. they also have a lovely grassy area with big rocks for kids to climb on that overlooked a lovely sunset and a farm. There were additional tent camping sites near that grassy area that seemed to be more populated. We liked our spot away from the crowds. We stayed at four different sites during this trip, and this was by far the favorite. It does not have the kid friendly activities (mini golf, jump pad, boats etc) that many sites have, but it was the nicest.

I am giving this KOA 5 stars, for what I think are very important reasons to stay at a campground. I stayed for 2 nights in a 40ft class A. I have stayed at a lot of campgrounds across the US and I would say this campground is not the biggest or has the most amenities, but it certainly the most scenic campground I have ever stayed at! The scenery was by far amazing. I showed people views from my site with the rolling fields and people asked if I was on a golf course or Ireland. The campground was spotless from the bathrooms to the sites themselves. There was PLENTY of room for my boys to ride bikes and play in the open fields. The most important factor for the 5 star was Tiffany. After Tiffany escorted me to our site, I asked about a car service I called to take me to HOF the next day, (car service said they would take us but then ghosted me the day before, not returning calls or answering phone to reconfirm)Tiffany said she was unaware of any service coming there. Tiffany suggested I stop by office and said she would arrange transportation to HOF. I thought that was extremely kind and above and beyond her scope at KOA. I would definitely stay at this KOA again!!!

Very nice campground, clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and welcoming.UPDATE: This campground is absolutely worthy of 5 stars but I am a firm believer that there's always room for improvement. If you spend any amount of time here you'll see that for yourself. Since you asked, improvements I'd suggest are adding additional (only 1) and upgraded hand dryers in the restroom. The other suggestion I would make is to consider allowing outside wood provided it is kiln dried and in it's original packaging (like Stewart's). I found the onsite wood too thinly split and not necessarily dry resulting in many sites having very smokey fires. However, I understand wanting to protect the trees. All in all we had a great stay and look forward to coming back again soon. Thanks

This is my opinion and should be taken as such. What a beauty this place is. In the pull through section the sites are pretty tight. But up on the section near the dog park and pool, the sites are pretty decent size. The grounds are well kept. There is a retired Amish gentleman that comes and mows the lawn. The view is pretty amazing and the staff is very attentive and super friendly. If heading to the Hall of Fame, this would be a nice stop to stay at. I recommend highly.

KOA Journey is outstanding! The service, the cabin and the cleanliness was outstanding. We were attending Cooperstown all star baseball and were thoroughly satisfied with everything! This is the place to stay in a cabin or if you have an RV. We stayed in cabin but they have an employee meet you and back you in if needed. Awesome place. Basic arcade and pool. We loved it!

Pleasant stay at this KOA. A short drive away from Cooperstown, one of the more pleasant features is the location. You are surrounded by fields and pastures. Cows bellow in the distance and you get beautiful sunsets at night. We've stayed here before, a loooong time ago, as it is somewhat close to family. Significant improvements have been made since. Trees have grown up so that most sights are pleasantly shaded. There's a nice play area for the kids, including a bounce house. Toward the back of the campground is a fenced dog area for "off leash" fun. Bathrooms and showers are clean (if not exactly plentiful) and located in the main building. The highlight, however, is the WiFi. Coverage is exceptional with video streaming speeds common. Now for the drawbacks. First, for me, would be the cost. We're not talking resort prices, but KOAs are always a little pricey. Second would be the location. This wasn't an issue for us, but if you are looking to be right IN Cooperstown, check Google Maps because this isn't. Finally, something that might want to be looked into by ownership. Quite often there is a strong sewer smell anywhere near the dump station. Our site, thankfully, was upwind and we were spared. Overall, worth a stay for the overnighters passing through or those wanting to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame and don't mind a little drive.

This was our second time staying at Cooperstown KOA Journey and will be our last. We arrived late Thursday evening to find our site as we remembered from our previous visit, and settled in nicely - got the kids settled and enjoyed a fire in our solo stove before turning in for the evening. Things went south when we went to the office in the morning to check in - while in the office we were informed that the campground was changing ownership that day - no big deal. However, while in the office a group of employees were very obviously talking about our group. “They had the biggest bonfire I’ve ever seen”. (Have you seen a solostove? You can’t really have a huge fire in one…). “Their annoying dogs wouldn’t stop yapping” (our dogs barked maybe three times the entire weekend). At one point someone in our group interjected and pointed out that we were standing right there but that did not seem to phase the unprofessional employees. For the rest of our stay we were made to feel uncomfortable with employees shooting glares at us as they passed through the campground. To make matters worse, our site was directly across from two work camper sites. We are nearly full time RVers, staying in over 25 campgrounds per year. Normally interacting with work campers is one of our favorite parts of travel, hearing their stories, sharing ours, etc. Unfortunately these were the employees talking about us.I won’t spend too much time knocking amenities as new ownership may remedy some of this but a few things that cannot go unmentioned are the dismal water pressure in both rv sites and cabins, pervasive sewer smell across the campground at all hours of the day, as well as the pool liner that is completely detached. Otherwise, the location of the campground is picturesque, and conveniently located near Cooperstown and many attractions. If you’re looking for a pricey KOA that will make you feel uncomfortable every moment of your stay, look no further. Otherwise, pick somewhere else.

Awesome customer service! Fern checked us in and was very thorough! We rented a tent lot. It was clean, private, quiet and beautiful! Ground cover had a few roots but we expected it as we requested a wooded area! Would highly recommend! Thank you for such a pleasant stay!

Being we were first time campers with a brand new camper. On Mothers day weekend we pulled into the campground that was cold and wet with no experience. The Management was over the top helpful, giving us pointers and letting us know what to look for. The grounds were very well maintained with the friendly camper staff on duty busy making improvements (wifi towers) and making sure we had what we needed and answering questions when asked. Attractions within a 2 hour radius made it a perfect centralized spot, we will be be back. And even now that we are on our first long trip to South Dakota we are in contact with the Management to ask questions, we feel we have friends for life. Thank you, thank you K&K love. VMG

What a beautiful area, and very clean and quiet campground. Very nice pool area. Customer service #1 with the staff. We have a 40 ft with tow, and pull thru plenty big. WiFi is excellent, no cable, but local stations good. Cooperstown is close to see Baseball Hall of Fame, and shop. Amish area so you see horse and carriages. It’s a little off on country roads. Wish we stayed longer really enjoyed it.
